The site also states the Gunmetal is ceramic coated as well. Is that not true? I think I would actually prefer the stealth but not a fan of any tank that is ceramic coated especially when they coat the inside/chimney as well.

yes, the Gunmetal is ceramic HIGH GLOSS in a sort of blue-ish grey .I have it and love it.

The stealth one is almost the opposite -not SHINY at all-more like a soft rubber.I hate saying "rubber" as that sounds so crass and it's really so much more...it has a wonderful soft touch to it but its definitely NOT shiny or high gloss.....so that depends on your tastes ???

I was kind of hoping you'd pop in. You're much more educated on the details related to the various finishes than I am.

Might you know enough to answer the question regarding Stealth vs GMZ?

While I sleep? [emoji6]

I hope this helps.

The Stealth is triple-coated Cerakote - a flat, matte ceramic finish. It has a very, very slight textured feel; chalky perhaps? The button is solid black, not clear like the regular ProVari buttons. The top and end caps are matte black. The LED is blue and lights 50% lower then regular ProVaris (I'm not sure if this is true for the P3s). The finish will reflect direct light (as in the flash picture below), but not like the satin shine of a Satin ProVari (look at the edges of the Silver Satin below). I don't have a Black Satin to compare it with for you - I PIF'd it. Forgive me, Willy.

The GMZ is Gun Metal colored ZenKote™ - ZenKote™ is a very hard, glossy finish Zen trademarked. It is a process more than just a color coating. He explains it in detail to PB in an interview (I'll have to look for the link). When I asked Vape360 about it, he suggested I read about Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD): Physical vapor deposition - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I read about half the page, then decided all I needed to know was that it was purple.

The ZenKote™ Provaris are high shine and have clear buttons. The finish feels slick, like polished stainless steel. Gun Metal is like a dark charcoal gray, but it reflects a blueish light. As an example of the reflection, my Princess Purple is very dark, like Welch's Grape juice, but look how it shines and reflects the paper in natural light:

Old meets new! My poor Mini has been through hell and back.... still working. Thanks to everyone who answered questions for me. Finally got the new digs in and you guys were right, this thing is awesome. Right now I'm at 10 watts and boost on 1. I think more will be ordered.

Don't get me started on cats :) I got 2 of them, and they already knocked 3 christmas ornaments out of the tree...little buggers :) but at least they have left my vaping stuff alone sofar...

Will let you know if the FT glass fits once they come in!

I figured the least I could do is find the link for you (since I dragged you into this...).

Go to the 42:10 point, and they'll begin talking about ZenKote.

I have the Stealth and the flat black finish is perfect for people that can't stand fingerprints all over their shiny mods! My only concern is the finish wearing off like some people have stated from personal experience. So far so good. No hot water baths.

I got this to keep my cat at bay, not fancy but it does the job holding the assorted ProVaris and batteries that I've got in rotation by my chair. A Radius fits nicely in the square section too.

Amazon.com: The Vape Caddy II ecigarette PV holder: Health & Personal Care

Thanks so much for the tip & link :) !

Quite similar to the Provape ones ie. same idea of big wooden blocks...I guess the wood is necessary to make it heavy & sturdy enough.

So does this really make your vape stuff cat-proof ?

=If you cat rubs up against the P3 or the tank is the stand heavy enough to hold the cig in place/so it doesnt get knocked over?

I saw that Pink Mule has the 2 Provape blocks with two round holes for 2 P3's .
Probably better quality wood and heavier ?? It's 38 euro (+ shipping I suppose)at Pink Mule

But it would be nice to have something for the Radius too ...I havent had the opportunity to use mine yet- it's a Xmas prez so its still in the back of our closet ;) ...But not long now !!!! ;)

Itll be going into my rotation pretty soon.... :)

No probs with the cat today though, they delivered our new HUGE Fridge-freezer this morning -purchased mainly to have room to store my vape-apocalypse gear ;) and the cat is terrified of it ...she's been hiding under the bed all day, just sneaking out for meals...I dont know why she's so scared of it,it barely makes any noise at all, much less than our old one!

I have several Kabukis and two or three times that many drip tips. My favorite is Zen's Mini Tower in black delrin. It fits very tight on the Kabuki, and I like that. Second best is his Althea. In fact I use that one on the Nautilus P3 tanks. The Althea doesn't fit quit as snug on the Nautilus as it does on the Kabuki, but it works good enough. My quandary has been what to use on my out-and-about Kabukis. The Althea and the Mini Tower are tall when put in a pocket, and the stock Gertrude, while looking great, is a bit short and the airflow is a little too open for me. The Matilda would be perfect, but it's metal and I'm not a huge fan of metal drip tips, especially for outside.

I think I stumbled across the perfect replacement for the Gertrude. It's the 510 Black Delrin Drip Tip Type A from RTD Vapor for $3.59. Mounted in the Kabuki it only adds about 1/8" height above the Gertrude but that's enough, and gives about the same airflow as the Althea and Mini Tower, while adding a slight lip like the Althea. Here's a shot of it from RTD's web page. I think it's nice looking enough that it could have come from Zen's Magic Workshop.
