The EAR stuff????
Yeah the ear stuff. I haven't tried it yet. Today I haven't filled my P3 Kabuki all the way. I think it might be helping. I'll try it on the 510 version later. I been vaping Sweet tobacco all day then switch the Vanilla Tobacco later. I maybe getting tired if Vaniila in the Kabuki. I think it makes it stronger in the Kabuki then the kayfun 4.

Leaking could also be caused by too stiff of a draw.

You may try opening up the airflow a bit to lessen the vacuum drawn on the tank during puffs.

Just my thoughts, Jim

So I received a response back from Avid Vaper. Their Cisco coils are built using the older, single coil shells and if the older ones are causing issues, these will, as well.
Steve, and all others reading...

I have to take exception to that statement.

Unless, you have physically measured a nautilus coil, you cannot say whether or not it would create a problem.

Have you done that?

Do you know in which Kabuki Tanks that this difference in length may or may not matter?

Please expound upon your statement or retract it.

Thanks, Jim

From what I have been reading the issue some are having may be with the older coil bodies. I asked Avid Vaper if they use the older ones or new ones and they said they use the older ones.
I haven't bought one yet. I don't know if the older coils are shorter than the new ones...

Here are some pix of the Avid Coil vs a New Style Nautilus Coil.

Which one is longer?

Avid on left, New Naughty on right.

Cheers, Jim

Only time will tell...

I bet if I bought several packs, old and new odds are few of them would be exactly the same length. For depth and connection issues, if the old ones are consistently longer there should be no issues with the AV Cisco coils making the connection...

I guess I could buy a Nautilus tank and P3 Kabuki and save the shorter coil heads for the Nautilus...
I just don't understand how they consistently get different lengths if they are all made on the same line...
I can't say it out loud...

But my Sig says it loud and clear!

Perhaps I could tell you a true funny story.

I replaced a roll of paper towels in the holder above my kitchen sink. I then attempted to tear off a paper towel, only to be greeted with the whole roll coming off. I thought nothing of it and reinstalled the roll of paper towels. I again attempted to tear off a towel. Same results. I then went to the trash can and compared the length of the new paper towel roll with the empty paper towel cardboard core. Ya know what? The new roll was shorter than the old.

Moral of the story... How many short cut rolls does it take to make a free roll?

LOLz, Jim

That's like some airline saved something like $2 million by only having 3 olives in a meal vs4, but in manufacturing it would actually take more work to make 1 in 4 coils shorter, unless they have a line dedicated to making the shorter coils...

Just look at the base pin in the pix.

Notice a difference?

Now the real question?

When (timeframe/dates) was the P3 Kabuki designed? And with what datecode naughty coils?

I don't know the dates of either. Kabuki came out before the new style of Nautilus coils?

As long as the Avids are available, I will never buy another Naughty Coil!
