help please...
So, all these replacement heads that I have that won't "fit" in the Kabuki...I am guessing that they would still work in a nautilus or a mini nautilus ? (and where would I get one ? )

Ok, Ms. Wife, did you order the Naughty or a Naughty Mini? Both AND the Kabook take the same coils. They're interchangeable, and it's curious that your coils are not fitting the 'Buki.

Maybe they're the smaller BVC's?

I haven't ordered yet but will be getting the Nautilus...not the Mini.
I know all 3 use the same coils :)
I trust Mike's work long before I would trust one of these coils for accuracy.
I was just wanting to find out if they should still fit in the Nautilus even tho they don't fit in the Kabuki.
Or are they still not going to fit the Nautilus.

Since I had not used them prior to the Kabuki, I don't know their history for misfits.

How are they not "fitting"? Do they not screw in? Do they screw in and not fire?

They just won't tighten down, they start to and then just spin again.Even with getting it at just that point, once you put things together, it has freed itself again and the whole thing wobbles.

I don't know the history of these coils to know if there is a big loss ratio with them or not

I've been through quite a few coils as I was kind of an early adopter of the Kabuki and have never had this problem. In six months time I have had one coil get cross threaded in the chimney about half way through it's life.
My thoughts are drifting towards either you got some sub-par coils, or even possibly counterfeits, or QC has taken some serious drift with Aspire coils, or possibly some fluke with the threads machined in your Kabuki. Really, this tank has been the best I have ever used in terms of reliability so this really comes as a surprise to hear you are having these issues with coils not seating. Maybe a call to Mr. @Zen~ is in order? Really hope you can get this sorted out, because the Kabuki is a really great tank system from my experience.

Yes, it's a fantastic tank...I have 3 Kabukis.
It's not the Kabuki...it's the coils.

sigh...never mind.
I am buying the nautilus anyway to test to see of the coils that just spin are salvageable in something else. I hate seeing them being a total loss.

It's not the Kabukis.

Sorry, I just wanted to try to help, hope they work in your Nautilus if/when you do get one. I still like my Nautilus tanks (caged) , they are my beater tanks :)

P.S. when my coils from my Kabuki's are toast their life isn't over... I pull the wires and clean them up and they get re-purposed to fire yet again in re-built Kanger PT2 heads ;)

Where did you get the coils from?

Also if you are careful you can swap a coil from a dud case into a good case, cotton and all. It just takes long tweezers and patience.

Its been over a year since I was a regular Nautilus user but I had a ton of bad coils. Isuffered with them for a long time and finally couldn't take it anymore and started looking into it on the innernet. ECF often came up on my searches and afew months later I ended up joining.

My thinking back then was Aspire built these things by the pallet. Some of the pallets were good and some bad. It would take months for a supplier to work through a pallet so people that were getting good ones would always get good ones and people getting bad ones would always get bad ones.

When I heard about the Kabuki I was excited to finally be able to use my massive pile of Nautilus coils so I bought one. But bad coils are bad coils no matter what I screw them in.

During that period I had found the Triton full size and found its 1.8 ohm coil to be roughly 7 brazillion times better in every way then the Nautilus coil. Sadly the Triton tank itself wasn't all that great. Somebody should build a high quality tank around that coil, they would be a overnite brazillionaire.

When I caught wind of the Triton mini coil I was back in the game. Because they don't work properly in the Kabuki that part failed. They do work better then the Nautilus coils so moving forward I'll be using only them but its not what it could be. At this time I don't see the Kabuki getting much use due to crap coils.

The Nautilus on the other hand is seeing much love. I must have had 5 of them but can only find one and its been getting a ton of love with the Triton Mini coils. I honestly can't believe how good they are making the Nautilus preform.

Next I am gonna get an actual Triton Mini for those wonderful coils. Plus it has top fill. I have a ton (literally a ton after that Vape Bank Kayfun order) of top and bottom fill tanks and all else being equal I'll take top fill everytime.

So in closing I think you should get a Triton Mini to use those old coils in don't be afraid to try the Mini coils it comes with. These days a vape generation is like a month and the Nautilus is about 18 generations old. The Nautilus is like the Model T of vaping. Its prolly what made vaping popular but its dated. Sure your grandfather had one and its fun to see them at shows but.......................The Triton Mini is like a Toyota Corolla, you just wanna get back and forth to work but you want AC and satellite radio while you do it.

A side by side pic of the coils may help us, help you...

Jeez. I've been using these things for... I don't even KNOW how long now, but it's well over a year. I think I've hit maybe one bad coil. Two? Not sure, but not many.

@gnees thanks for pointing me in the direction of those engraved tanks! I contacted them, and have 2 dragon engraved on the way to me soon, and plans to send them some custom art to perhaps make a few more if they think it's feasible!!!

I love it, and it's gonna look amazing on my Kabuki!!!
Your Welcome, I have 4, so far and they look great.

But the thanks, should go to @DPLongo22 and @Katdarling . They turned me on to the site.:nun:

It's funny, I never broke a glass tank, but that was a constant worry with the Nautilus till Getting the cage.

I haven't (yet) either, E. I did discard one because the red tint began to peel, but no breakage (amazingly enough). I have a handful of the caged ones, but I flipped over to the glass when I got tired of refilling. I know, you're shocked (because I NEVER complain about small tanks!).
