You are welcome. Cute pup by the way :)

For nic i went with the nude nicotine armor since its nicely packaged for the freezer straight out of the box. And gets very good reviews from folks on here. Vaportek also make another highly rated base, though i think you would have to put it in glass bottles for the freezer. Might be slightly more than nude? They had a blind taste test thread and nude / vaportek were the 2 top choices from what i remember. Look around though there may be others, i just did a lot of reading before i decided.

Matter of fact I did decide on & order my 2L of nicotine just today - I went for the TH nicotine from Vapersrtek. I think I'm going to split the 2L into smaller bottles of some size and then freeze.

Some folks recommend trying a bunch of bases... I was too lazy to do that lol. Firstly, i have enough commerical premixed juice to last through christmas of this new year we Are in, so won't be learning diy till the end of this year... And also just time. I figure there were enough positive reviews that its a safe bet. Can always use mild flavoring if i really have to. Per the reviews tho, nude, vaportek both are pretty clean and neutral.

I think I am too lazy or not particular enough yet to do anything but make sure I have the nicotine on hand - I guess I still am in the exploration phase of discovering flavors :)

The polished stainless and a couple of the other 2.5s have the p3 top as an option. Other folks have gotten the zombie or dragon etc and opened a ticket immediately to beg for the p3 flat top. Sounds like they will do that for the blems too.

I lucked into a used P3 on ebay for $75 - that is how I was able to "try" before investing further. I really LOVE the thing, so I am going to take advantage of blems & the 2.5s/minis on sale! I'm actually going to sell my super-auto espresso machine to help fund my Provari stash.

And for any 2.5s I get I will open the ticket for the flat top, I do like it and am going to try to get 22mm tanks as a rule. After I try the Kabuki I'm going to shoot for a couple of Kayfuns so I can learn the DIY part of RBAs and futureproof myself further. I'd really like to learn - if I can - how to rebuild those Aspire Nauti BVCs too, in case I can find no more coils on sale!

So, that's my plan & thanks again @madangus for making me aware of the flat tops & how to "order" them. :D

I'm glad zen is doing a p3 510 adaptor thingy another probably low cost option for those of us wit lots of tapered 2.5s :)

I sure am, too!

Aside from the fact that Zen seems to hate the 510 (can't say I blame him, I think the P3 is more solid), maybe it was a sales thing as well. Provape seemed to run out of the various flavors but My Baker never ran out of the 510. I hate to sound elitist, but maybe the masses of istick/kanger/other $35 chinamods won't pay north of $80 for a tank, but those of us who have invested in Provaris will. I guess I'm an elitist. :(

I don't regret buying the 3 (soon to be 5 I hope) Kabukis I own...one of my peaves with the Kanger subtank was that it would almost always leak, whereas I have only had a couple of bottom leaks from the Kabukis, and I attribute that to the coils. I for one am OK with paying more, if for that reason only.

I eagerly await the Ti tanks. If I don't manage to grab at least 2, I will be............displeased.
I read this post a couple of times & each time my jaw dropped. I think I'm trying to understand why you would think "the masses of istick/kanger/other $35 chinamods won't pay north of $80 for a tank" ?? There are many of us who own some pretty pricey mods, tanks, rdas ... etc etc who've also bought the iSticks and such.

Elitist is a word that makes me cringe because it was thrust upon us by ProVari haters & {IMO} there's nothing elitist about owning 1 or 100 ProVaris.

I'd keep the clone talk down around these parts...
It borders on disrespectful to talk about buying a clone of a device, made by a very skilled and dedicated person, who just so happens to be very active on this thread...and who does more to further the innovation and survival of the vape industry, than most people dream of.
Then you must have missed his blog where he talked about welcoming clones. Currently I cannot locate the specific blog post I was looking for- used to have that one saved for when people say not to talk about it here. This thread is titled "Anybody Using a Kabuki" - Just because Zen participates in this thread doesn't mean he owns it. If Kabuki clone talk all of a sudden must be kept quiet then it should've never been mentioned when the clone hit the market.

Well, yes I did happen to miss that blog...is that ok with you, Overlord Lex?
I'm sorry I have personal opinions about blatant counterfeiting, and the fact that most of America is supporting Chinese thievery.
I certainly won't reveal said feelings around you again...and I certainly didn't mean to offend you, or step on your toes!

You guys seem to really love whining. You all seem to forget all the issues with the 510 version.

The gurgling due to condensation build up in the connector area that can't be easily cleared. The inconsistency of coils causing connection failure or shorts, among others.

The p3 kabuki is a bit shorter than the 510 so I can't see the adapter adding much if anything over the 510 length. It also solves a host of issues with the 510 Zen has had.

It just makes sense to drop the dedicated 510 version when the adapter will do what the 510 base does while bringing to the 510 the benefits the p3 version has.

Zen was already talking about making the 510 base a two piece for easy cleaning and the adapter will do that and allow Zen to streamline production which helps reduce cost. It's possible the p3 kabuki with adapter included will not cost anymore than the kabuki does now.

I'm sure once Zen is finished with his cleanup we will find out more. Until then stop with the bashing and think logically from all sides.
First!!! Well said Ca Ike!!!

This is the First Post to mention the disadvantages of the 510 Kabuki.

The P3 Kabuki with adapter will Far OutPerform the 510 Kabuki.

The AirFlow Improvement is Superior to the 510 design.

Overload Lex? Not once have I ever called you out your name & I'm far from offended!

I'm not going to waste my time debating the merits of clones vs authentics. People buy what they can afford.

That they do...

I could tell you all a story about my buying shock absorbers for my van and not being able to afford the premium/desired shocks for it.

Well, 2 sets of shocks later, had I only been disciplined enough to save and wait... I would have the best shock absorbers and some cash left over.

Woe to us that occupy this instant gratification portion of Society?!? (I have been guilty of this)

One of Zen~'s blog posts:

"So the Chi-NA clone is finally in the states, at least a sample of one has landed. I am very pleased they used Z2 threading and they maintained the same tube length. It is as close to a 1-1 clone as they can probably manage at the price point.

IF they are using the "dna clone" board that is in the CHANA it is important that people who are considering this purchase understand that the device will have NO battery condition monitoring or any of the safety features associated with the battery monitoring circuit. It does have a battery level meter... this is not the same thing as condition monitoring.

I am looking forward to the many number of people that will now get to experience the Z2 system at china prices. People entering the system from this direction will be able to add accessories from the existing Z2 lineup to personalize their Chi-NA, and if they decide to continue on and purchase an Authentic ZNA, the purchase of the accessories will not be a wasted effort. They will slide right onto the real device.

I will be contacting the manufacturer to see what we can do about getting access to these for certification as a factory authorized edition.

We live in a global economy. We have to embrace change. For those of you that feel they have stolen my design, it is true... they have... but the important thing about being in this industry is that devices like this save lives by helping people free themselves of their dependency on cigarettes and combustible tobacco.

If you are concerned about the effect this will have on my business and the livelihoods of my employees, please encourage the purchasers of the Chi-NA to accessorize with genuine ZenKote parts. I do ask that you NOT alienate people that make the choice to own a Chi-NA.

It took them 8 months to knock this one off... that's a long time in this industry, but we all knew it would happen. I am not going to file lawsuits against the resellers as others have done. I am not going to threaten the manufacturer in any way. If the American public wants to buy a knock-off of my design then they are going to buy it, no matter what I do. This is the world we live in, and I intend to embrace change."

And if anybody owns this thread, as the OP, it would be me.

:D

Don't worry...I wasn't attempting to start a debate. I know better than to waste my time trying to debate anything with the likes of you...
(That sounded a bit like an old-timey villain...haha.)

I've had absolutely zero issues with my three 510's, all of which been running daily for months now.

I guess you're right. These things suck, I just didn't know it. Thankfully though, I've got people here who can help me understand just how bad they are, even thought I foolishly thought they were fine.

INTO the trash they go!

THANKS, ALL!!!
