I truly love the kabuki tank, and I greatly admire Zen's work. I realize that this is not going to be a popular statement, but I think it needs to be said.

Zen offered a lifetime guarantee on the kabuki. Perhaps the tank became more popular than he ever expected, and his business could no longer support the guarantee for the 510 connection? Is it possible that he made a deal w fasttech to allow them to produce & distribute it worldwide & take the headache off of his hands?

I am just speculating, but it is something to think about. Until very recently, I could not even find a retailer in Canada to purchase a Kabuki from.

I don't know if he'll answer that, but I personally would be stunned to learn he did anything like that. Yes I would.

You're absolutely right.

1. The COUNTERFEIT (cuz let's stop OK'ing theft by giving it the cute name "clone") was mentioned long ago.

2. It IS business, and anyone who has even designed a drip tip, has been ripped off by the lawlessness of the Chinese manufacturing culture.

3. There IS no rule about -not- talking about it (the Mods will clean up anti/pro arguments), but that doesn't mean we have to keep the subject alive here. As evidenced by the many likes, and good reception of my original statement, many people here feel the same as I do.

---This last one is aimed more broadly at anyone defending the talk of COUNTERFEIT devices on this thread.---

4. The title of this thread is "Anyone using a KABUKI?" which refers to the authentic. Anyone using a counterfeit is just not using a Kabuki. A fake is a fake.
If this were a Coca-Cola thread, anyone talking about the taste of Mt. Shasta Cola would be asked to stop, or leave.
Is Mt. Shasta Cola tasty? Yes!
Is it a brown, sugary, carbonated beverage? Yes!
But is it Coca-Cola? No. It's a generic brand, meant to imitate a larger name brand. Not quite counterfeit, but close enough for my example to be clear.

Fake atomizers are -NOT- the same as authentic atomizers. I don't care how 1:1 they get, they simply are not the same.

I am not trying to start an anti/pro COUNTERFEIT conversation, as we've alllllll been down that road.
I just strongly feel that we should keep the subject out of this thread, as the topic IS the authentic Kabuki, and not its illegitimate Chinese fake.

I don't have a problem with that but I also feel pretty strongly that if a company has decided to stop making "X" then people in this thread are stunned by that and are not aware there is an option they should be free to get that information and make an informed decision. Otherwise I would not have mentioned it but since HOH isn't going to make a 510 anymore then it's not a "counterfeit", its the only option.

You can be what you want to be but my head is not so big where I think I'm superior or better than any of you. If one feels they're elistist because they own a couple of ProVari then all I can do is smh!

Out of curiosity, where any of you elistist smokers?

Note 5!!!
Elite definition: "a select group that is superior in terms of ability or qualities to the rest of a group or society."
I recognise the concept and it's existence and have nothing against it. From a vaping point of view I don't think owning Provaris makes anyone elite. However the Kabuki tank for now seems to fit the definition. So perhaps we Kabuki owners are in a relatively elite group!

I really do believe that HoH, is still going to make a Kabuki that will have a 510 connector. It just may be an adapter, so it will go from P3, to a 510. What ever it is, bet it's nice.:)

I'd much rather be elitist than plebeian. Sorry, but it's the trut!

That's how I interpreted it.

The market is FULL of 510 devices. I don't know what the percentage of people with P3 or Z2 connections is, but it's not large I wouldn't think. So, while the 510 "as you know it" might be done, I have no doubt there's an adaptor not far behind it. Honestly, the way I envision it, it wouldn't even add much to the size of the P3 Kabiki currently. And truth be told, I'd buy one. Right now, I only use my Kabuki on my P3, but an adaptor sure would open it up for other uses.

Broke another tank today putting it on the top cap after cleaning. Funny, I just ordered one from ProVape along with 104 P3 springs for their MLK sale. Guess the next paycheck I'll order 10 of them... AND BE REALLY CAREFUL FROM NOW ON!

Gee, how come nobody is referring to this guy as a, "flag waving elitist?" Someone has trouble with their fake Kabuki, I suggest they call customer service and I get jumped on like white on rice...

Some people can get away with anything. Or is it, some (me) can't say anything and get away nothing?

Anyway, I'm glad you said it, HB. Thank you.

I was being facetious when I said I must be an elitist, I guess to ensure intent around here for something tongue in cheek I should be sure to use en emoji.

So, to ensure my bases are covered: ;):):(:grr::sneaky::-x:cry::nah::?::|

Could be that one of the many reasons he is stopping production of the 510 version is that the counterfeit was taking sales away. Just sayin'...
