New coil behaves the same.. Maybe I just need to get used to the tighter (compared to what I am use to that is) air draw on the Kabuki..

Would long time users of it say that when the adjustment screw is fully open that it should produce a very airy draw or not?

Edit: Problem solved. I took it apart and cleaned it again. This time I removed the air screw and ran some kanthal wire in and out of both holes. It appears there was a very small piece of metal shaving left over from manufacturing.. Once it was out, the unit vapes better. Not a super airy draw but good enough!

So now, back to the regularly scheduled programming.. :D

I had one that had a leftover shaving in there too.

Easily fixed.

Glad you got it sorted.

I completely removed mine & even replaced the coils- the draw of the Kabuki is nowhere near airy as I am acustomed to- not by a long shot. It makes me wonder if the people who enjoy their Kabukis are just used to a tighter draw.

I just read this and thought viewers might find it comforting, especially if it's true. ;)

"To date Aspire has NEVER retired a coil. They may make improvements along the way, but there will always be a nautilus coil available."
Yeah, that promise coming from China...

As I said -- comforting, especially if it's true.

A bit of research tends to support the statement as the earliest coil I could find that they have made is certainly still available, as are all the containers for it. (the aspire bdc)

Does anyone know of any earlier clearo coils by Aspire?

Aspire is installing a Nautilus BVC in the mod that is being released soon, Plato. I'd say they understand they have an audience for this coil. They are also including in the kit a separate "Subohm atomizer cartridge with a 0.4 ohm kanthal Clapton coil".
THAT'S good news!

This pic just MADE me order the GMZ mini... LOL that flat top option is almost as expensive as mod itself. Still a great deal IMHO. Got some tanks out in the classiest that will hopefully defer this cost. If not off to the PIF thread they go.

Yes I agree.. After I got the metal shaving out it does work better but not as airy of a draw as I have been vaping at. Not a big deal really as I'll adjust to the tighter draw.

I removed the screw last night for a while but then read somewhere that it's not recommended..

I love the quality of the tank and I am absolutely loving the P3 connection! Since those 2 things absolutely ROCK, I'll adjust to the tighter draw..

Speaking of that P3 connection. I've almost dropped the tank twice so far when unscrewing from the Radius. I am so use to the 510's that have be unscrewed, and unscrewed, and unscrewed for what's an eternity sometimes.. The P3 is a couple of quick turns and it's off! :)

Further to what @tearose50 said, I was told by someone who shall remain nameless and linkless that he did not expect Aspire to just stop making the Nautilus coils and if anything he could see them making changes to it. We all know that Aspire has made changes to their coils in an effort to make them better with the Nautilus being one of them. Take this for whatever it is worth to you as we all know changes occur especially in the ecig world.

My last words on the Clapton - I have tried the 1.8 ohm coils several times and have concluded that for myself I prefer the Nautilus. Should Aspire makes changes to it down the road, I might give it a try again.
