I just tried typing in vvft.com in google, and it went to a But Domain page. Huh???

When I clicked on the link in aldenf's post above, it took me to a facebook place, and since I don't have an account with FB it went nowhere. But, when I do www.vvft.com it goes to the right place.

Just got here and did try to skim through but this is a huge thread. So... I'll just ask. My wife only uses the aspire nautilus mini. It's here only tank (s). I'm thinking about getting her a kabuki as an upgrade. Firstly, is the kabuki's glass tank more fragile than the original? And secondly, Will the triton mini coils offer any benefit to a Mtl. Vaper such as herself? Thanks in advance, Dave

As the triton is a looser draw,it would NOT offer any benefit to MTL. In fact, probably make it next to useless for MTL for most folks.

I prefer direct lung, and the Kabuki with the natie coil just barley does it. Would appreciate looser draw, but then again, Not only Zen, but several people here have tried them, and found them of much lesser flavor than the Nauti's.

Zen said that he won't be offering the base by itself. Stated that it was the most difficult, and expensive part to machine, and would be near the cost of the full unit. Sorry!

I thought she was referring to the new screw in P3 to 510 base adapter. He is selling those. I bought 1 and it is the best of both worlds.

I'll answer in order and based on just my own experience.

Yes, the Kabuki is a Big upgrade from any of the Aspire tanks. Yes, the Kabuki glass is just as fragile as any other glass tube. No, the Triton mini coils will not offer you any benefit that I have been able to notice.

This is coming from a guy who used a Nautilus for 2+ years so take that for what it is worth...

Thank you for the info. Two years of nautilus use means much to me. Last question: Any real improvement in taste? I notice the chimney seems smaller so perhaps but... kinda seems that the actual flavor would be more dependant on the coil and not so much on the enclosure surrounding it. At least that's been my experience with various Rta's that take others coils but ya never know.
It's really about trying to get her something nice that will use these coils since this is her bona fide go to device. Thx again for the help - David

It's not just an improvement in taste.
It's a reinvention of the flavor the Nautilus coil is capable of producing.
After you've used the Kabuki that WILL order, you'll look back on your apprehension and just LAAAAAAAUUUUGH!!!

For me, it's a subtle better difference that has encouraged me to keep adding more Kabuki's to my vaping arsenal. It's more than just the flavor -- the whole setup simply works consistently better and the coils tend to last a bit longer. I love setting the air flow to where I like it and not having to deal with a surprise change in vape because the air flow got changed erroneously. I really like the look, too.

I, too, have been using a Nauti with BVC coils quite contently, since they were first introduced.

Just buy her one. Then check out these links for o rings and tubes. ;)

What they said on the flavor. It's that much better. I'm not an engineer so I'm not hip on the design specifics, but it's been explained by its inventor on these threads. It's not a small difference to me, it's a leap forward.

Just replaced the blue rings and drip tip from my MBV K with black ones. Not particularly easy when you have big paws. It looks great sitting atop the GMZ however. OCD ain't easy friends.
I know exactly what you mean. I have this "thing" where all i want is kabuki tanks, provape mods, and what the hell, a hexohm for funsies.
And the blue drives me nuts. But I will eventually replace mine too.

Tagging onto your post but really directing my comments to David in Nashville.

I totally agree. I have a handful of Nautiluses and they were my standard tank even though I kept trying others.

Once I got my first Kabuki, all but one of the Nauts have been gathering dust. The mini I'm using got put back into service a couple of weeks ago when I got a Provari 2.5 with the tapered top. When I finally get around to getting a Provari trim ring, it's probably going back into storage.

The Kabuki is so painless to use but it's the flavor that keeps me using one.

It does seem to me that the kabuki glass is more fragile. I think it has to do with some sort of structural thing. I just got a metal tank to replace my glass one that broke, but for some reason its not fitting properly. Might have to buy a polycarbonate one... Just be a little more careful with it, because it it toally worth it!
I think the Kabuki definitely has better flavor. It also produces a ton of vapor for an MTL tank.
