@Zen~ I posted this question in another thread, but I can't find it now so I'll pose it again:

Are we going to see the Kabuki with bronze and graphite grey finishes to match the Radius custom metal finishes? Maybe sometime soon? Please? Pretty please?

May I add a Kabuki in gold Zenkote?

Sure. Right after the bronze and graphite come out! [emoji41]

FWIW the GMZ Kabuki is very close to the graphite grey Radius trim.

I'll add another vote for a gold Zenkote Kabuki. Bronze would be cool too if it matched the bronze trim of the custom Radius. :thumb:

I haven't seen any mention here, but an official Aspire account on reddit posted yesterday that there was an upcoming new version of the Nautilus including new coils.

Since I'm not impressed with the Triton Mini, I hope they get back to basics and truly improve the Nautilus. Mainly I hope that the new coil will produce even better results when used in the Kabuki.

From the public thread: "Aspire is going to release an upgrade Nautilus version, which will be a new generation of mouth to lung tank. How do you think?"

When asked by two different people as to what in particular is being updated the replies were "...All new technology, new revolution of mouth to lung vaping!" and "Lol, upgrade flavor and airflow, upgrade coil technology, upgrade... many many"...

When another poster mentioned they wanted an RBA section, the rep answered 'And then you will enjoy this new version!"

So, not directly on topic but it would seem this could have a big impact on Kabuki owners in a couple of months.

Good news on the rebuilding part. Looking forward to see what they are up to.

...as long as the new coils will work in the Kabuki, if not, well this could be a problem for kabuki owners. :(

Well my GMZ should arrive at Provape tomorrow to be sorted out.

Just sent an email to say thanks and for no sensible reason an update on London weather (you know what the English are like, always going on about the weather) which for those interested was very warm yesterday, grey and a bit cold today and seems to be getting colder as the days go on.

For those not interested in the weather (as well as those who are) you might like this photo as the sun was going down yesterday.

Great service from Provape and Kim in terms of contact etc.

Now guys and girls, I need some help. When my P3 packed up I had a mini to fall back on but it has the 510 fixture.

Before they were available in the UK I had a P3 to 510 adaptor sent from the U.S. so I could use my Kabuki's on the mini. But no joy. Could not get it to work with the Kabuki's so gave up.

Not a big deal until the GMZ had a problem. So by default ended up buying a P3 Ti and Ti Kabuki which comes with another P3 to 510 adaptor. Still no joy.....

It could be that I'm not that up to speed with the mini as I am with the P3 settings as I never used it much, but the mini works with other tanks with the 510 thread.

To try to get to the bottom of this could anyone give me advice in respect of settings and coils that you use on a mini with a Kabuki P3 with the 510 adaptor that works so I can see if I can get the adaptors working.

I have read the posts about some people having problems with the adaptors so want to try to get a resolve before jumping in the deep end.

All the best. Sean

As long as the new coils are good, I imagine Zen would be interested in a re-design to accept the new coils.

I am not sure how this would be helpful to the current owners of Kabuki tanks? Sure, Zen could very well change up the design for future tanks to accept the new coils... but yeah that will still leave a lot of current owners high and dry. Not that I think the old style coils would disappear overnight if the new style would not be compatible, this was my biggest worry when I made the investment in a tank that can only use a certain blisterpack coil. I will just keep my fingers crossed.

Hi Sean, I have a p3-510 adaptor that has connection issues as well. Try this: Push the center pin of the adaptor as far down as it will go. You will probably need to use something like a flat bade screwdriver, wooden dowel, something hard to put some pressure on it. It is tight but will move. Then attach it to your Kabuki, and screw the Kabuki onto your mod until you feel the pin engage the centerpin of the ProVari. Check to see if the mod will fire the coil, if not, tighten the attie down more and try again. Once you get it to fire, don't tighten it more than like 1/8 turn from there.

If there is a small gap, you could use an o-ring, or a spacer to take up the gap:
full
smaill bits of plastic or even card stock work fine.

If you cannot get a connection repeat the pin push down step, and gently pull the center pin of your coil out, only a very little bit is needed, and wrap a couple turn of dental floss or thread around the base of the pin and push it back in. Now connect the base to the adaptor and try again. Good luck, I hope this helps you get your Kabuki working on your ProVari.

PS, if you were trying to use the Kabuki on your ProVari with a beauty ring, ditch the ring and try it without. You may have success without the other methods I posted.

As far a settings, for a 1.8Ω coil I start out at 3.7V, and then over time slowly work my way up in power. The old rule of thumb still works- take your resistance and add 2. So if my coil reads 1.9Ω +2 = 3.9V then adjust to taste :)

Thanks Enaud and others, I will give it a try at the weekend. I'm attempting to get the Kabuki to work on the Provari mini, no beauty rings just the rounded top. Cheers. Sean

Interested to hear how this goes.

Pulled a 510 adapter out to see if it would work. No love.

I have a couple of 510 Kabuki tanks, so no skin in the game, but it would be nice if the adapters worked anyway.

I talked with Zen today, he said he will have some extra long pins cut sometime in the next few weeks for us folks having connection problems with our ProVari V2-V2.5's and the P3-510 adaptors:thumb::cool: If I get mine in and haven't seen a post from Mike I'll let you guys know.

Yeah, and when you consider the fact I've purchased nine (a couple of Ti's, GMZ's, Stealths...) different Kabuki's (do the $$math) in less than a year, if I end up not being able to obtain coils within a couple two to three years, I will be highly upset and will rethink my future purchasing strategy.

Need some rebuildables, just to be sure.

today I picked up a couple of ccell coils. the young gal at the gape store said a lot of people liked them . she said the flavor was great and they last a long time. I have an old triton so I figured what the heck. at 18'to 22 watts the flavor is great. I've read reports that they last 20to 75 tankfulls.ntime will
tell.

if they last a lot more than the two days my nautilus coils do I'm thinking I'd like to see a 1.8 that would fit a kabuki. if that would come to fruition I would buy a ti kabuki and put it in first line use with my kayfuns.

as it sits my kabuki is on the back burner but it works in conditions that would cause a kayfun to leak. my test was sitting on a hot dash in 90degree weather for an hour. once I cooled off the drip tip it gaped with nary a leak or gurgle. impressive. the next test will be a trip to Reno which will be 0 to 7200 feet in an hour. not fun with a tank unless it's a dripper or a vivi nova top coil.

sorry for the mush, just thinking out loud.

Drippers/bottom feeder will always have their place. They just work in all kinds of situations. When I travel, I always bring a few drippers with fresh builds, and a bottom feeder that I can use as a dripper during layovers. My tanks sit high and dry till I'm settled in wherever I am heading. Then the Kabuki came along...even if it's only half full, I can dump it, and fly, and when I get to my destination it's a easy cleanup and fill, and ready to go.

Looking forward to how yours treats you on the ascent to Reno. That is actually like 3/4 of the pressure differential encountered on a commercial flight! Please post your results.
