Kabuki #4 on its way to me.

How do I cancel/block my access to Paypal?

You don't. At least until you gift me my second Kabuki :)

So I will no longer have this issue, as I bet the problem is the 'pin' height on the Radius is taller than the 'pin' height on the P3 thus smooshing down the 'pin' on the coil so when I pull the Kabuki off the Radius and move it to the P3 it doesn't make connection - I bet that is the entire issue.

But I can't afford to either buy a second topper, or even run two different coils at the same time (wasting juice when swapping coils is crazy)...bleh - no fair...

OK, take the coil out of the base, then gently pull the pin of the coil down a little bit, then wrap some thread or dental floss under the end of the coils center pin, where it flares out a little. The thread is to help keep the coil pin extended just a little bit more, so it can reach down and make a connection with the center pin of your P3 connector on your mod.

The o-ring I was talking about is the one that supports the center pin on your ProVari P3, you push that in so it will go under the pin some more, kind of put a little pressure towards the center and work your way around it. It may or may not help, but these two things might just get you up and running again. Good luck.

Got it now. Check out my thinking on what I wrote on the reply just above this one? It would explain why the new bottom worked (I did not own a Radius at the time), and why I have the problem now. The downside with your 'fix', is the very real (granted minor, but every drop counts in my book) loss of juice every time I 'fix' a coil, or swap coils.

So let's say I verify this theory as a fact, how would I get it fixed, short of buying a second Kabuki?

If that is in fact the issue, then in my mind it is on ProVape to somehow raise the pin on your P3 so that it works as it should. I have had issues with the P3 pin settings on several of my mods, including my Ti ProVari's that I got at release prices, and my P3 center pin. This was back when the Kabuki was just hitting the market and I was an early adopter, Zen was asked to come here and he did help me out which I am very grateful for.

I f you do go the ticket route with ProVape, please let me know how that goes for you. They gave me the canned response to try pulling up the pin and squishing the O-ring back under the center pin of the P3.   not really funny though, I felt like they socked me in the gut on that one...till like I said, Zen came along and helped me out :)

But neither device is still under warranty as both are over a year old, so why even bother with a ticket, as I am SOL either way here? How does one raise the center pin on a P3 or, lower the center pin on a Radius? (Would rather raise it on the P3, given a choice though).

Follow up to my question earlier. So I had the wife look at the account and she claimed that she did not see the charge for the orings. So I told her that when I got home I would do the order again since neither of us could tell if it went through. I go to grab my computer and there sits a box. I ask her what it is and she tells me she has no idea but it is from house of hybrids. Well duh lady that is your o rings. Lol glad I saw the box before I ordered them again. Lol not sure why I did not get any emails but alls well that ends well.

Often times they will do repairs on out of warranty stuff on their dime. Here's an idea that just hit me. See if you can get some thread started under the pin and on top of the O-ring of your P3. Give it a good four or five wraps if you can, see if you have any button/ carpet thread, the thicker stuff. dental floss should work too. If you can get a couple turns of either under that pin you just might could raise it enough to do the trick for you.

Will give it a try when I have a 'good' day, right now my hands aren't working so well. Will let you know what I learn (or don't) - might be a day or so - thanks for the ideas :)

FYI? I too live only on disability as well, so I believe I do understand from where you speak (sadly)...how is it, 'you're not *allowed* to say... in a country of quote, unquote, free speech? Or is it, you've been a bad boy in the past, and you have been advised against certain uh..'actions' shall we say...under threat of banishment? If so, I must have missed the entertainment, ah well...and so it goes...

Lastly, I did not think you were blaming Zen, but I wanted to make sure that no one thought that Zen *was* to blame in any way, as He is most helpful.
"not allowed to say" - tongue in cheek, as ProVape won't admit to a lot of their early P3's being out of spec. My guess is they are afraid of a panic and a recall would be to costly. Besides, the average Joe wouldn't know the difference unless he/she sent it in. Now that Zen has adjusted his Kabuki's, it's kind of a moot point, for now. The sad thing of it is, people like you are going to continue to be victims going forward.

Something tells me if you write ProVape and explain your situation PROPERLY, they will take care of you out of good conscience.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with holding their feet to the fire. They are one of the best companies out there and take it on the chin pretty good. The people who love them do it all the time. Besides, we spend mega $$$$

I just got off the phone with my Dad and let him know how I felt about a thing or two, respectfully, of course.

my P3 threaded kabuki's tank is taller than the mt baker 510's tank...
try this... put a coil in your base, snug...screw the base w/ coil into the chimney section (not too tight)...hold the base and gently unscrew the top cap/chimney section while watching the wick holes on the atomizer reveal themselves...decide for yourself if that is acceptable , if not probably contact zen and explain the short tank problem and ask if you can swap out for a proper fitting glass, i guess... it also fixes the atomizer wedging in the chimney,
not sure how they got into the wild, but, IMO the ones that cover the wick holes should be recalled.
not bashing Zen, but, he should be made aware, IMO.
unless we got the only 2 that have the issue
I tried this & ended up with a leaky mess. The top cap wouldn't unscrew but the bottom did while trying to do the top. I stopped trying cause I feared breaking the glass.
