That's a very personal issue, JUMA, but I always prefer the highest resistance I can get. I buy 2.1 or 1.8, depending on what's there at the time.

Longo, but why is it a personal issue if one is vaping at X watts all the time? All things considered, I'm after the taste and the experience rather than the biggest cloud I can blow. My thinking was based on what I've read that the higher resistance gave better battery life. But my experience has shown that no matter the coil used the 18350 battery is out at about the same time as the Kabuki is empty, and that's great to my weird mind. Whereas with a 1200mAh AW battery I can get two tanks with the Kabuki. So size and weight being an issue, the 18350 setup with the P3 Ti's are the on-the-go units and the 18490's are for home only? Make sense?

Longo, and where to you get 2.1 Nautilus coils? I thought they only came in 1.6 and 1.8. Previous to the Kabukis, I only bought 1.8's for my Nautilus tanks but for the only reason is that's what I think came with them.

Because what I like isn't necessarily what someone else likes. So others may prefer the 1.6, while I do not. My recommendation is always to try one box of each, then figure out which you prefer.

I'm pretty sure the Nautis come in 2.1 too, but it's possible they do not. I buy two versions of Aspire BVC (Nauti and non-Nauti). One of them comes in 2.1, and it might be the smaller ("non").

After trying a bazillion things, I've learned that I really like those two coil options. And sometimes I prefer one over the other, so having both is essential (for me). Like I said though, it's been a LOT of hit-and-miss until I landed, safely and happily.

I need to buy some coils today locally and then order some. What resistance do you think I should buy/order? Zen's Kabukis came with 1.6 ohm coils, but I seem to remember he recommended the 1.8's, although I could be wrong on that. In the past I've ordered directly from Aspire and from Sweet-Vapes, Electric Vapor Cigarette, Giant Vapes and ProVape. Last time I looked Sweet-vapes had the best price. But I've generally been ordering the coils with other items, so coupons and such came into play and the absolute best price was not a major consideration. Thanks.

Sweet Vapes and eVape US have the best prices. Both ship equally as fast to me. The ohmages listed are so close together that to me it really doesn't make a difference either way.

Ok, so after much tinkering, coil thread scraping, twisting, wrenching, and much general hullabaloo, My issue was made clear. It ended up being a combination of two things: 1 - Coil threads contained debris and excess material, and 2 - Coils were not being carefully threaded into the base, but were cranked down anyway, causing a slight to aggressive lean in the coil head. The combination of these two factors (crappy threads and operator error) caused me to have binding threads almost every time. I noticed this when I took the top off to refill and cleaned off the base unit with the coil in it. The lean was slight at the time, so I decided (having just got some more coils) to start fresh. I spun the coil in reverse until the click, and slowly threaded it down. The slop in the coils' threads made it possible to wiggle it back and forth whilst screwing it down. I thus had to be very careful to keep it straight and not murder the thing when it was close to bottoming out. The upper threads were cleaned with a razor and a steel brush. everything is straight, tight, and vaping away at 10.3 watts. NOW I can order some spectrum tanks glass for it!

Anyone using the Kabuki with the Cisco spec Nautilus coils with high VG juice? The majority of my eliquids are under 40% VG however I have a few that are over 60%. What resistance coils and at what volts/watts are you vaping? Flavorwise, how does it compare to the Aspire coils. Thanks much.

Yes. The 1.5ohm and the 2.0ohm Juice @80/20 and @ 70/30 have not had an issue.
But.... I will say to check your coils. The 2.0ohm coil I bought, the wicking material tails were facing up, so I took something and pushed them down.

Flavorwise...IMHO it's better than the nautilus on 95% of the flavors I have. Tobacco, Coffee, Teas, Pastry, peanut butter, ... all strong flavors. I don't do fruity flavor so I can't really comment on those. But...just like the nautilus some flavors, maybe a little muted. Then make the proper adjustments.

Compared to the Aspire coils, to me the Aspire coils wicks a little faster. I think the juice holes are larger than the Cisco.

ok probably a stupid question but I still can't get my head around it so; what difference does 1.6 and 1.8 ohm really make when used in a kabuki or aspire nautilus on p3?
Almost none. Slightly better battery life with the 1.8, if all else remains equal.

I'll use whichever is available and wouldn't be able to tell which I'm using unless I checked the resistance.

And not stupid at all. If someone judges someone else for asking a question, well - THAT would be STOOPIT. [emoji6]
