That's GREAT. How did you get it to do it for so long? Mine's more like a little "poof!"

That didn't sound good, did it?

POOF! ;)

Ya have to TALK to it, DPL. You have to cuddle it and coo at it and whisper sweet nothings.

Be sure to put a little juice on the o rings when assembling, especially the top ring.

I managed to shatter a Quartz tank just now while re-assembling after cleaning.

I happened to have a spare ZAP tank laying about so not to worry.

I like that all my ZAP tanks are compatible.

I just had the same thing happen with my glass tank and my o-rings were drenched. Between that and still not being able to unscrew the tank without the coil sticking in the chimney I am beginning to hate the Kabuki and regretting my purchase. I have never broke a glass tank and now I break one just by attempting to gently remove it. Ridiculous. For $90 it should have at least come with a spare.

Anyone know if there's anyway to contact HoH besides calling them? Their hours that they accept calls are pretty limited.

I'm sorry to hear this, Bird Dog, and will definitely try to be very cautious with mine. And I'll probably order a few of those $10 replacements from his site, just in case.

As for the coil sticking in the chimney, I've found that to be somewhat advantageuous, because it allows me to fit an extra .5ml into the tank (25% increase). I've had no issues firing it when it sticks there, so am happy about the extra capacity.

But I do understand how it might bug someone. I just wish he'd make a 4-5ml version. It might be ALL that I used if he did. 2ml is way to low for my ADV needs though.

@Zen~ Mr. Zen, are you with us here, reading this thread?

I'll echo that desire for a slightly larger tank. I'd love to see a 4ml as well, but even 3.5ml would be FANTASTIC!

Any chance?

And Bird Dog, so so sorry to hear you had that problem with the tank. :(

Any idea where to get these "new style" coils?
I need to order some, and I can't seem to find a "trusted" vendor...none of my old vendors seem to carry the "new" coils...

I think I got mine from My Freedom Smokes, but can't remember.
