When I still had my ProVape1 I was running 1.8Ω coils on Protanks, they would taste scorched on my ProVari's at anything over 3.5ish volts. 3.2-3.4 seemed to be the magic number. My thoughts were that those little 14500's sag a bit under load...
They sag quite a bit under load... remember... when the ProVape 1 came out, many many people were vaping 901s and cigalikes that were regulated at 3.2 volts... the ProVape 1 was a POWERHOUSE compared to the "norm".

I'm going 4.3V when running around at work. A little over 9W. Yeah. I know. I'm crazy like that.

Anyway, If you are running your Kabuki the way you run a Nauty tank, you might want to back it off a bit.

Give it a try. You might be surprised.

In your honour, jwb...... 4.3v and happy happy happy.

We can thank Senor Zen for that.

Like the Kabuki tank, E-D?
Yes I do, in fact, I love my Kabuki tank! If it just held another 1ml or so, I would consider it perfecter than it is :) ;) But it is a really sweet vape

Just a silly millilitre more, eh? I could also be VERY happy with that.
Me too! - or a top fill cap like the SnP tank?. I absolutely love this tank - my coil is now firmly in the base (not the chimney) and still the same coil after 19 refills.
Had a bad day yesterday as I dropped it and cracked the glass, ended up great though - tried out an ibtanked replacement glass with their coloured o-rings (the ones they sell for their 19mm tanks) and they fit so I now have a whole set of coloured o-rings to play with. (Busy going through all my boxes and think my SnP spectrum coloured glass and steel tank may also fit).

Sounds like that breakage led to a good ole good party of colors and options, kates! Pics if and when you can?
Will do :) Off to work now but when I finish I'll take a photo of my current set up and see if I can get to grips with uploading it.

Looks GREAT, Kates! And I've done the telfon tip too, but without the white rings. VERY nice!!!

More juice? Yeah, me, but The Master has spoken and I do believe that option may be out. Yet I'll STILL buy a black or GMZ (or both), plus an extra one of each. Even at the 2.5ml (that I have to fill like every 20 minutes, sigh).

For the ultimate protection, I invested in a couple of the SS tanks. I hope to never need them, but if I do start breaking glass (oh yes, I have!), then I know I'll never be without at least two functioning Kabuki tanks.

And that security, well, it makes me happy. Because I LIKE these little buggers!!!

Thinking seriously about getting the Geisha. One question tho…is it z2 or 510 hybrid?
Thanks
Z2... I don't do 510 hybrids cuz there's no such thing... those little wafers that people call hybrid adapters are a disaster waiting to happen. I would bet damn near anything there's no product liability insurance on a single one of those. No under-righter in their right mind would would say, "yeah, that looks safe".

Zen,

May I ask a question about the ProVari PV-1?

I thought that it was a regulated to a constant 3.7vdc, due to its internal board?

Am I wrong in thinking that?

I've looked everywhere and can't find an answer.

Any help wood be appreciated!

Jim

Hey Jim - I'm don't believe that's the case with those. From what I recall when I was looking at them (years ago now), they are typical unregulated, but with obviously much better build quality (than was available anywhere else at that time, for the most part).

I believe they did have a cutoff protection, which I THINK was at 3.2, but I'm really taxing my memory now. I think I've got a headache, actually.

And so far at least, my nose has not increased in length. So if I'm incorrect on something, we know it was not a lie (just my run-of-the-mill stupidity acting up again).

99% certain they were NOT regulated though, just to be clear.
