But... True!

I will be able to recover it, as I am kinda handy with tools.

I'll remove the CeraKote, and all will be Vaperific!!!

Jim

So you're the reason for Zen's warning, huh? At least you are able to salvage it, somewhat. {{{{{ hugs}}}}}

Funny though, as the number of smokers decrease, the number of childhood asthma increases. Just a thought to ponder....

possibly not asthma...processed foods are causing silent reflux issues that are being mis-treated as asthma

Yes, When I have finished. It will look just like the Stainless uncoated version.

I'll post pics...

Please let me the know results AstroTurf, and the method you used...if mine gets any worse I have to resolve to that too (but I am babying it now to prevent that LOL) :D

It now has some missing coating on the side of the top cap, and some minor spics of silver on the top and it looks like this:

So be carefull with water, boiling or otherwise! (I didn't use boiling water, but did let it soak in cold water for about an hour, maybe not the smartest move..but I was used to that with my SS tanks )....got no scratching from wear and tear though, so otherwise it seems to be holding up ....still love it though :D

Edit: maybe important to know, the chimney holds up well, no issues there...so there is no pollution of the juice, in case people get worried about that..

I've come to a decision... if you have a Stealth Kabuki that delaminated prior to my warning, I will replace the damaged parts. The finish is usually not covered under my warranty, but... I feel it is my obligation to warn people, even if I didn't think about issuing the warning in advance.

So... please, take advantage of this opportunity to get your damaged units replaced.

Stealth Kabukis received for cosmetic issues will be honored until 10/25/2015, so get them to me, please!

With the KFL, I just had to get rid of that extra plastic that was left around the threading of the plastic tank section. Other than that... Like you said, spotless :)

Never did have any luck with those polycarb middles, always leaked. But then i am a couple of months more experienced now so maybe it would be alright.

Wow Zen...that's REAL good customer service....I did already send a mail to Stacie...but no need to replace mine....could be my own fault and I can live with it (and I need my Kabuki in use 24/7  ..I'll just be more carefull in the future :))
Thanks for the offer though!

I think the key with the plastic tank sections is to make sure to not cross thread them even a little bit. Then tighten the sucker down. I have a hard time separating the plastic and the metal. So I don't at all. Just rinse the whole thing when I have to change wicking.

The replacement plastic sections come apart easier than the original. Dropped mine a few times too often (anyone surprised?) Even had the section and the metal slightly go crooked before and took a hammer and tapped it back into place and still no leaks... till one too many drops caused the threading to come apart/break/crack.

Oh well. That's my life! :D

Still early days, but i have thrown off the cold mostly and am really enjoying the flavour from the kaubuki. Also, last night i vaped it all the way down to a few drops, a small thing but i never felt comfortable letting subtanks or nautili getting that low.. Always expected a leak or sweating or such.

From full to empty to full... I am seeing a remarkable consistency. On the p3 with boost2, its the same nice flavourful vape.

Every.

Time.

I always take the while thing apart to rewick, i don't really mind ;) the all metal look actually looks better to me.. Though maybe i had to talk myself into it ;)

Nowhere near as classy as the kaubuki on the white to black P3 though. Sorry, you will all get tired of hearing it. But. Wow. Elegance it is!

It's nice the way Zen~ got those juice holes right down on the deck so you can really get at all the juice.

I used a set of these... Along with a good stiff boiling in soapy water.

Cheers, Jim
