Wow...is the metal tank section a different metal or finished differently than the top and bottom of the Kabuki? I don't like the look of the plain metal if that's the case...too many textures going on...
The top two pics are Jackie's Gun Metal Kabuki and the rest are either Stealth or SS. The tanks are SS

Both of these came off of Zen's site.

O
help please...
So, all these replacement heads that I have that won't "fit" in the Kabuki...I am guessing that they would still work in a Nautilus or a mini Nautilus ? (and where would I get one ? )

Oh yes indeedie.

The nautilus takes anything just fine with any mods at all.

I been running tests to pick my new tootle puffer. Every combination possible with all different coils between Kabuki and Nautilus.

And the winner is …

Nautilus with 1.8 ohm Clapton Triton Mini coil on a Provari 2.5.

That coil is the key over all others. But when modded to work in Kabuki it's not as good.

I swear I never thought the Nautilus would see service again but these new coil option have breathed new life in.

wait...I already have a bajillion Nautilus replacement heads...and some aren't working in the Kabuki.
I don't want to buy more coils...I want to make sure what I have would still work in a Nautilus or a Nautilus mini. :)

Or are they just plain duds for anything.

If they will fire in a Nautilus but not a Kabuki, you need to call HOH.

I agree, Classwife. Give HOH a call. An occasional problem coil is a lot different than several. Also, I've never had a dud coil, though I have heard it does occur.

My guess is that one time the coil cross threaded a bit and some metal shavings might be hiding in there as the kabuki steel is stronger than the coil thread metal. Some have suggested using gun cleaning brushes on the threads once and awhile. HOH will be happy to check it out for you, clean or fix if needed.

Nauti's and Nauti mini's are available at lots of vendors. As I am stocked on them, I don't know who has the best deal right now. Most anywhere coils are sold, will have them. I do think it a good idea to have one in your arsenal, even if just to test the coil.

@classwife, if you don't have a Nautilus, I have a mini I could send you, so you can see if those coils will work. Let me know if you'd like me to send it your way!

My Kabuki is fine and perfect.

I would just prefer to not have wasted (new) replacement heads (the ones that don't work in the Kabuki)...am asking if they are bad bad or if they would still work in a Nautilus.

If they would (should) still work then I'll buy a Nautilus to use them in :)

But if they are bad bad and since they won't work in the Kabuki, they wouldn't work in a Nautilus...then I don't want to waste the money :)

@gnees thanks for pointing me in the direction of those engraved tanks! I contacted them, and have 2 dragon engraved on the way to me soon, and plans to send them some custom art to perhaps make a few more if they think it's feasible!!!

I love it, and it's gonna look amazing on my Kabuki!!!

Yes, in fact, I do. I love them all, together, or separated. The sheen of the GMZ differs, as Zen explained, due to what is under it, and yet they look marvelous together! At least I think so!

Hey KD — very swank! Is that a GMZ Kabuki 510 or P3 that you are using?
