I'm always saying how hard it is being a man of principle and sticking to your guns. It's difficult indeed but when I'm on my deathbed, I can look back and say, FTW (For The Win!) (Astro - )

Dropping the Kabuki 510 connection only is taking it away from anyone but Provi owners. And not all available ProVari devices have a P3 top. I'm a big fan of the P3 connnector but its not an industry standard by any means. Luckily the P3 device connector also accepts a 510. Remember the Aspire nautilus P3? Briefly sold but quickly discontinued while the nautilus 510's continue to be available. Dropping the Kabuki 510 really limits its compatibility. But it is a stand against status quo. Good Luck.

I do think Zen/HOH is looking at making the Kabuki P3 with adapter to 510, much like MsLoud says ProVape did in the next quote.

There are niche mods and atties - as long as there are vapers then this will be the case - fine - but why do you think ProVape made sure any of there designs are 510 compatible? Because that is the standard. They didn't say - "To hell with maximizing sales and exposure - we will only offer our P3 connection! LET THEM EAT CAKE!".

I don't see that "let them eat cake" view from HOH. I see the Kabuki has been quite successful, so offer it in various finishes and make the very much requested 510 adapter, so we have choice. It seems as if he and his retailers have nearly sold out of the 510 versions he made --- and he did make a ton of them. It's smart to move on to an upgrade, with the adapter and whatever else the Zen can create.

Yes. I do do believe he said it will be coming out about the time of the Ti Kabuki P3 ---- and that is simply "soon".

Wonder how long before the adapter will be in steel, stealth and GMZ?

Sometimes I feel embarrassed cheerleading for these people but they have great prices and customer service. I guess I don't need to worry since the word doesn't seem to have gotten out. You can get genuine coils for as low as $9.49 a box.

They don't have a huge amount of different items, but they are reliable and ship quickly. And you don't have to deal with shipping from China since they're located in Georgia.

I'm still working on stocking for the vapocalypse so please don't clean them out before I'm finished.

Here's where I'll call out the elephant in the room...this is a $89 tank (if you get the basic one) that uses disposable coils that are dependent on another company to continue making...I have no idea what the Kabuki 510 adapter will cost but lets say $10..now you are at (rounding...) $100 for the tank. I just don't see people buying a P3 threaded tank then buying a proprietary 510 adapter so they have the ability to use it on other devices.

Understand - I am NOT talking to those of us who have Kabukis or Provaris for that matter...sometimes I have to remind myself that not everyone has a Provari - then I get a sad.

The clones are all 510...none of them are P3 threaded. They have a flathead screw that is adjustable instead of the HoH allen key. It does use an allen key for the airflow though.

I guess this is a bad time to be new to vaping.

Also, I live in an apartment I.e., limited freezer space for nicotine storage.

Also, I probably have enough income to invest in hardware OR nicotine but not sure about both. Have more space to store hardware than nicotine.

Have not started any diy coil building or juice making; still settling what flavor I like on what hardware I like.

I guess I could really be in a pickle here if the vapocalypse happens.

I'm wondering - do you think those in my boat could "buy in" on others' stashes or rent space in freezers?

I really don't want to be in a spot where I have to make panicked decisions out of anxiety. It's enough emotionally to stay off the analogs right now. Honestly I'm not totally excited abou the building coils/learning to wick prospect, bit I will do what I have to do if it comes down to it. Same with juice, except I will have no nicotine unless someone lets me buy in.

I doubt I'm the only one in this spot, too.

As is often the case, the market will determine the results. I respect Zen's decision to discontinue the line, but I were his CEO, I'd advise against it.

Craigslist is also a good place to check.. cheap!

It also opens up the stealth and zen coat p3 versions to more users and by osmosis gets the p3 connector more exposure.

If provape offers a p3 connector to moders like reo that are a drop in it might help more.

People are also forgetting that the z2 thread is a 20mmx1mm which is used on almost every hybrid mech out.

I remember reading a post by @Zen~ regarding Provape making the specs available, I wonder if this meant so they could make atomizers, or if it meant that they could utilize the format to produce mods. Two very different things.

As far as the REO suggestion, the 510 is actually a better platform for that particular situation.

I never knew that about the Z2 thread, interesting point. So it was/is an already established size and pitch, how many companies offer toppers for it? How long has 20mmX1mm been around?

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Z2 thread style dates back in years. Zen started selling his Hybrid in early December, 2011 (see below), but now I'm thinking that was Z1 threading. Sorry, I escaped the Hybrid Mech era and didn't follow the evolutions.

Thanks for this. I'll figure it out one way or another - the mini freezer is an excellent idea since it could stay closed unless needed.

I am going to buy one of the special blems or a 2.5 - Hoh such great news that you can buy the non-tapered top.

You seem confused by my post. I have re-read it and not sure I can make it more clear...I, for one, couldn't care less what other people spend their own money on. I wont have that problem. I have 510 Kabukis. My post was about Zen not making 510 Kabukis but instead making P3 Kabukis with a 510 adapter (which remains to be seen). Given the price of replacement glass from HoH I can only speculate the cost of the adapter.

Annnd - those who already own a P3 Kabuki would, in fact, own a Provari. Why on earth would someone buy a P3 Kabuki without owning a P3 top cap Provari? I did state I was NOT talking to the ones who had Kabukis or Provaris now.

I hope this is clearer now.

As a newcomer to all vaping all the time who hasn't got more than 1 provari and who is still settling hardware questions, of course I want the 510 adapter purely for the flexibility it adds.

And some of us, even those of us who have (lemme count)... SEVEN P3 threaded devices still opted for the 510 Kabuki, each and every time.

So yes, good point you make, yet it even extends beyond just those who don't have a Provi (queue the sad music).
