I also had issues with my P3 GMZ top cap. They had the old buna white o-rings. I really struggled to get only the top off and eventually broke a tank. I had the silicone OMGs on order so I quit using them.

Mine is identical. P3 GMZ with the white o-rings. The glass tank physically would not fully go on to the tank bottom.

I'm not worried about a few bucks, but paying for a new set of o-rings because the ones that came with my brand new $100 tank don't fit properly seems a tad nutty to me.

I don't disagree with what you are saying. I have never had any issue with the bottom base whether it be the P3 or 510 Kabuki and it has always been the top cap and always when disassembling for cleaning. If the top cap is tight when assembling I turn the glass upside down to see if it goes on easier — Zen had mentioned to do this quite a while ago. I know it is too late for the GMZ glass however for the future try turning the glass tank upside down if you are experiencing problems assembling the tank. I always put the top cap on the glass first, fill it with eliquid and then put the bottom cap on. When I disassemble I work backwards and start with the bottom base. I doubt that it matters however this is my creature of habit routine.

I did try the flipping the glass routine and it didn't help.

I will try putting the top cap on first with the new glass. Makes sense as the force from screwing the tank back together slowly vs. pushing the glass in by hand is likely less likely to end with shards of glass everywhere. ;)

Thx for the tip!

I had the complete opposite problem. Received GMZ Kabuki last week and the top white o ring leaked like a sieve right off the bat. It wasn't just a little, it was actually visible. I had to drain the tank and change the o rings before I could use it for the first time. Good thing I had spares. What a PITA!

I wrote HOH CS a friendly heads up telling them it wouldn't look good to a first time customer that $114 tank was unusable with first tank fill. Stacie sent me a pair of clear (or white, dunno) o rings. She said that was the first report of that happening and I probably got a bad o ring. That kind of :censored: only happens to me and ENAUD.

Add me to that list! ;)

The B&M I frequent sells a lot of Kabukis and Provaris, so I will let them reassemble my GMZ with a new glass tank. Oh you know damned well that thing will slide right on in a second and make me look like a dumbdumb! :w00t:

Just get the silicone and you won't have the problem at all and most likely won't even need to lube.

It does seem that the buna have slightly different diameters as most of mine have been tight, but only one that didn't loosen up at all with use....and is now trashed.

At one time Zen said he would explain to us why the 510 and P3 version had separate o ring kits and I'd love to hear that explanation, especially since his custom sized silicone ones are available and good for all Kabuki's.

(I do know the silicone ones are skinnier....just wondering about the original 510 buna ones.)

Once they assemble it for you, you might want to have them disassemble it as well. If they do not carry the new silicone OMGs you may want to ask that they do so. This way if you need o-rings down the road, they will be readily available. The silicone OMGs are fairly new so they may not be aware of them.

I find it interesting that three of us have had very different not so good initial experience with the GMZ Kabuki.

I will try that. Ok I am trying a juice I have that is 50/50 and will see how that does. I have used this exact juice on my Aspire nautilus using the 1.8 BVC coils on my P3 and the coil would last several week. So hopefully I will see the same results in the Kabuki with this juice. The juice I was using is Coil Hunny Berry Bear. Wonderful juice but again its max VG so I wonder if that is the problem. I am running the same juice in a Silo Beast tank with a 0.5 coil and as I would expect it runs fine.

I think the use of Coil Hunny at max VG was just too much for the Nautilus coil to handle. I will keep running the 50/50 in the Kabuki w/ the Nautilus 1.8 BVC until it I get that burned taste and see how long it goes. I have already gone through one tank with no issues. So fingers crossed its just the max VG that was causing the trouble.

And as I mentioned above can you use the Triton Mini coils in the Kabuki or is it recommended?

Ok so since I have switched to 50/50 juice my coil has been lasting a lot longer. In fact I have been using the same coil for over a week when before I was getting 3 days max. So I think the max VG was causing the issue.

I still am getting some spitback and popping regardless of what I do so I will wait and see what happens with the next coil I use when its time to replace it. My set up is the Kabuki with a 1.8 ohm coil on my Radius at 9 watts. Just glad my coil is lasting longer.

It doesn't sound like I have all YOUR experience, but I've got a got a wee bit of background.

Zen & ProVape are absolutely awesome are both are well cemented in my personal list of favorites.

I can list 10 others too, right here, some from the vape world we live in, but I wouldn't do that in a supplier's thread.

They're out there though, of that I'm absolutely certain. I'm only sorry that you haven't had the same good fortunes as I have, given your unbelievably expansive level of experience.
Humm---Did I really deserve this bit of snarkiness?

Most of the watches listed were Quartz, In the watch world, that is sorta the Yugo compared to the Bentley. Very very low grade. Fine for a child. Not for a man of taste.

I notice Smith and Wesson was listed as one of those companies that cares about the customers. this is forgetting the years it was owned by Puna arms, who drove the quality into the ground. Or the Stand Smith and Wesson took siding with the Dem's in wanting to stop ALL Sales to the Public, and only wanting to cater to L.E. and Military. Both Domestic and Foreign. It was only when the board of directors came to the realization that the company would in short order face bankruptcy if such a move was made, that the decision was scrapped. Yep! S&W truly cares about us!
S&W 41 Mag is still My # 1 Revolver, and I carried one for years on the Sheriff's Dept.

Sorry Knife, but I don't see a speck of snark in DP's comment. Please read it again with a fresh view.

IMHO we have some very good and caring quality manufacturers and vendors in this vaping world both in the USA and some in other countries. There is no doubt to me that ProVape and HOH are on that list.

I don't think it was snark... DP is very nice compared to... well Me.

And yes, with the broad statement that you made, you deserved what I gave you for sure. Wish I was eloquent enough to give you more.

It Is... Very difficult to say, perhaps I made an overstatement. Which you did. And, Now you come back with this, rather than saying, perhaps I was wrong... is wrong.

As good as they are--ProVape, Zen and others, no one touches Fujitsu. I bought ScanSnap iX500 a couple of years ago. About two or three months after the year warranty was up, the rear camera started working intermittently. I called Fujitsu. The guy gave me a couple of things to try. Didn't work. I called back. The guy said, "Hell, our stuff doesn't break. What's your address? I have a new to you in the morning."

And sure enough, before 8:am a brand-new one arrived via FEDX. Full retail packaging. I could tell it was new as the mfg date on the back showed it was only about month old. That's service!

12 to 6 is big jump. I wanted to drop from 12, but 6 was too low all at once so I mix 12 and 6 for a 9mg.
That was a tough jump for me too. I started at 18, then went to 12 for about 6 months. Tried 6 but I got edgy so went to 9. Now I've been settled on 6mg for about a year and might try incremental reductions again, like 5mg, then 4mg. No need to rush it.

I think what I said was completely missed here on the watches.
There are NO american made movements being currently manufactured. None.

The Shinola does not claim to be fully American made. It says American assembled on scale. It is in fact, the firs American Assembled watch in many many years. I am familiar with their product. I am quite please to see this happen and have been watching their progress for some time not.

If you will re-read my post, it says "Fine Watch." This term is not my opinion. It is a standard term used in Horology. (The Study and or collecting of watches). Simply put, it refers to exceedingly well made timepieces, of superior quality in both materials and workmanship. In most cases, it also is assumed that the Movement is made in house rather than outsourced. There are exceptions to this, but not often.

Rolex, Omega, Tag Heuer, and many others tried the Quartz path back in the early 80's and it put a huge dent in their credibility. Rolex was the ONLY one who made their own Quartz movement. Still did damage to the company's reputation.

Zen has stated they are working on their own In House Movement. So yes, this will be a first for the American Watch making industry in many years. Something to be proud of!

Currently, the In House is years out. I do know that at least one of the watches is using ETA Swiss movement. although listed for sale, there were actually only a few given out as a test. More on this at later date.

I will be seriously be looking at one myself in the future.

That's wonderful! Sadly, I have had exactly the opposite experience with Sony/Zeiss and Zeiss Optics. The oldest, and proudest name in optics. But Customer service wize, Terrible!.

When I was speaking of customer service, and companies caring for their customers, I was speaking generally. Not the Vaping world. Which seems to me at least, a cut above the general market place.

And speaking of Detroit, I am old enough to well remember the terrible build quality they provided us until the Japanese forced them to step up their game to compete in their own back yard. Shameful!

Before you make the claim there are no watch movements made in the US, you should have checked. There is a watchmaker in Lancaster, PA. His name is Roland and his brand is RGM. While he does case some ETA movements he customizes, he also makes custom movements from his shop and hands. They are works of art and actually reasonably priced for such craftsmanship.
