I won mine in a contest and couldn't believe it since I had been eyeing it anyway.. but I absolutely LOVE it!! Going from a regular eGo batt to the itaste blew me away!! Every juice I use tastes amazingly better and the portability can't be beat with all that it is capable of. I have had mine for over a month now and have had no problems at all... I highly recommend it!! :vapor:

I have 1...and agree...love it. Want to buy 1 (or 2) more to put in my "rotation".

But I can only find kits...the "Full Kit" (which includes the USB Charger plus 5 iClear 16's) and the "Turbo Kit" (which includes the USB Charger).

Since I already have the USB Charger (and iClear 16's)...do you know where I might be able to purchase the iTaste VV 3.0 device only (ie. by itself)?

I've been eyeing this thing for two weeks! I love my current VV, but wanted to try for myself & test the differences between top & bottom coils, plastic versus glass tanks and so forth.

I've only used Halo products thus far so I only really know Triton VV tanks (basically Kangers/top coil) but never have been able to try new tanks or "worry" about threads, what fits on the batts and so forth so don't know a ton about it. I know this batt takes 510/ego threads but I don't know what glass tanks are 510/ego. I google it but not much comes up. :(

What glass tanks, that are top quality, can be used on the Innokin VV V3? Prefer one that doesn't leak (ok, we all do!) but I guess I'm saying one that isn't known to have a lot of issues and need constant tweaking. Thx for any help...

what glass tanks? protank, protank II, davide, mini davide, protank II mini.

leaking can be a wicking issue.

prices???

protank $15.99, and DV10 coupon code for 10% off:

NEW!! Protank 2 by Kangertech - DinoVape

protank II mini $13.99

Kanger Mini ProTank II w/ Removable Drip Tip

davide $14.99

AnyVape Davide Glassomizer

mini davide $11.99

AnyVape Davide Mini Glassomizer

those folks get them to me in 2 days. if you can find them cheaper, check if supplier has a forum section/thread here.

Thanks for your help! I didn't know what glass tanks. I can't use them on my Triton Vv, so I'm "green" as to which are good. That's what I was trying to ask...which one do people suggest and most importantly what fits on this batt???

I have never used one, but have read about leaking issues (especially w/ProTanks) If it is a wicking issue, I would obviously like to avoid this so whats the issue w/the wicks?

I'm willing to pay for a high quality tank so what ever is the best is what I'm looking for. I saw one that looked cool, the glass was surrounded by a metal chrome cage...spinner something. But if its crap, I don't want it. But it looked sweet! With the Triton, you can't "jazz" it up w/cool glass tanks and crazy drip tips. Nothing is compatible w/it except for Halo parts. This is why I don't know much beyond it.

I'm researching now and ordering next week. I'm not in a hurry, don't need fast ship or lowest price. I have read great reviews on the Davide. I wasn't sure it was compatible to this threading so good to know.

Thx!

i use most of those. i like the protank II the best and @ $14.50, it's a great deal. the davide isn't bad either, but i like that the ptank II is a smaller tank, 2.5 mil. you need needle tops to fill the davides.

i have 6 mini davides, but i thought the base was too thick. that kept the tanks really cold. i replaced the bottoms with ptank II mini bottoms and liked it a lot better.

if you want small, go with ptank II mini. if you want large, most folks find no difference. having to have needle tips to load them is a pain for some.

now, imho, glass tanks don't go well with tobacco flavors. with tobacco, you want a hotter vape, drip, top coil or carto. that's just my opinion. glass tanks mute flavors a tad. not much, but bottom coil (changeable) units cool the vape a tad cuz it has to travel further from the heat to the top of the tip. thus, a slight mute and a cooler vape detracts a little from some flavors. a hard menthol won't be a noticeable difference. and for bakery flavor or nutty flavors, i just up the flavoring (as i DIY most of the stuff i like) and i prefer the glass. i also vape dulce de leche all day long, so cooler vape is better.

i don't really have dripping issues, but as you vape more, you try saving money. we change the silica wicks for cotton wicks, not enough wick can let the juice pass by. a burnt out wick can do the same.

when using vw, as opposed to vv, the battery keeps the coil at the right voltage, so the coils last longer. for wicking, i've tried yarn, q-tip tops and cotton balls (all 100% cotton). the cotton balls manipulate easier, so you can make your wicks the perfect size. some folks, re-wick once or twice a week and then only change the coils at the months end or so (give or take). the coils can also be rebuilt.

they all use the same coils, but kanger are hands down the best, DV sells them cheap:

ProTank Coil Heads

they appear to be low/out, but they are probably awaiting their first shipment since the Chinese Holiday.

there are much more expensive tanks, but i don't use them. check thread here:

Tanks

and here:

Clearomizers

Rebuildable Atomizer Systems

those folks are the masters of $$ tanks. they rebuild just about everything. me, i'm just a poor boy, i need no sympathy, cuz i'm easy come easy go....

another reason we check out the leak situation is because kanger coils come with 2 flavor wicks on top of the coil. we take the top one off, you can use it later.

if you DO want to use tobacco juices, go with evods. the window is plastic, but the flavor is a notch above other bcc units. you DO have to worry about "tank cracker", but tobaccos don't crack tanks.

many, many people use the evods. they ARE dirt cheap though. $4.49 and 10% off with vaporfrombaker coupon:

Kanger Evod Rebuildable Clearomizer - Mt Baker Vapor - Electronic Cigarettes

MBV also gives you a free 15mil e juice if your total after discount is more than $15. you can even request what flavor, nic, and pg/vg combo. their juice is not expensive either, $4.99 for 15 mil and you can get a variety of pg.vg levels and nic level. extra shots if you want to pay a few bits. free shipping for more than $50 in the USA.

i vape most of their juice, those i like, i DIY. they sell their flavorings, some (alot) are flavor west, dirt cheap:

http://flavorwest.com/index.php/water-soluble-flavoring.html

their shipping is expensive, twelve something, but today i found a 15% off coupon that no one seemed to know about, cyber.

my juices go from freebie to DIY. (unless it's a mix they make. if they sell it, i might buy it.)

caveat: i do not vape MBV tobacco juices. the only one close to tasting good is USA Blend. and that is AFTER 2 month steep (someone called it "the hundred year steep"). they make their juices to order, so some take a week, some 2. there ARE some good out of the box, but you have to find out which ones.

i vape on a budget and i am a huge fan of MBV juices that aren't tobacco. one third (maybe more) of the folks here disagree though. (just saying)

evods use the same coils as the ptanks and davides. i use nothing but bcc clearos. others use a mix or cartos, bccs, novas and drip units.

I have a few main tobaccos I vape, but the rest are coffees, fruits and desserts. Im not into DIY, yet. I tend to lean towards thicker, dark juices, not necessarily tank killers tho. But you brought up a great point earlier I've been thinking about. I know some people rave about top coils, other bottom. I love top coil's warm hits and more TH, easy to fill...

Maybe bottom coils are best for menthol people..cooler vapes. Also, not sure if I'd like a more muted flavor. Top coils have loads of flavor. I guess I could still get the Innokin, try a bottom feeder and if I didn't like it, find a top coil 510/ego tank. I could always use the bottom coils for a few of my mint type flavors. Thx again, your information is extremely helpful!

Been vaping for some time now, but feel like I'm venturing in for the first time all over again!

After 2 days using the v3....still working on dialing in the voltage/wattage for ALL of the different clearo's I have lol. My Smok Trophy Tank works OK at around 7 watts, switch over to around 4 v for an Evod clearo with 2.5 ohm coil. I like the Evod better on the V3(vapor and throat hit) but the Smok Tank holds more juice so I WILL make it work! Getting some off taste/dry hits with the Tank though. Overall I like the V3, still looking for the sweet spot for the tank/coil combo's I have. Good thing I'm a tinkerer lol

Should be able to switch it to variable wattage mode and be very close with any tank you put on there. The VW mode will compensate for the different resistances, and most juices perform very well between about 6.5 and 7.5 Watts. That is the beauty of the iTaste 3.0....VARIABLE WATTAGE! Good luck to you!

I recently received a couple. I like the features and how the work, except that some of my clearos (CE5 & large Evod) don't work on them, which is disappointing. Anyone know how I can fix this?

Yes, replace the toppers. I'm serious actually. The CE# clearos are not strong quality clearos, quite the opposite, and the old T3's don't work on many devices. Be careful not to over tighten the toppers on ego threading as you can push the center pin down on the APV. To loosen, run a toothpick around the center pin, and it will often loosen and "lift." This is a common occurrence and happens when a drop of juice (also common) ends up on top of the center pin, then when overtightening even slightly, pushes the pin down and "captures" it in the down position, so to speak. Good luck!

Then no connection. No connection, no vape, no power, nada.

Thanx for the answer. But now I'm really cornfused!!??!!

In another thread someone said if a topper didn't work on ego threading take some small tweezers and pull the center pin down a little.

Moral...I guess...no vape/power => push center pin up => still no vape/power => pull center pin down???
