Just wait till you get off the plane. I realize it's annoying, but think about consequences for everybody else who vapes. The last thing we need is for some jackass to get busted on a plane then for the media to get ahold of it and turn it into a big deal. Keep in mind the fed's are looking closely at e-cigs now, and their "findings" will more than likely dictate how/where we can use these things in the not so distant future.

If there ever was a time to be on your best behavior with vaping, now's it.

I'm almost certain it can set the detectors off. There was a pretty lengthy thread here awhile back where a guy set the detector off in the govt building he works in and the whole building was evacuated. I'm sure it was a "cloud" that he was blowing but I'd be very careful if I were you. Airport security is already a pain in the ...., I wouldn't want to have to deal with that!

In the immortal words of Jim Carey,

And it wasn't even a "cloud", really. Just happened that our AC/heat systems weren't running that day, and my office is tighter than a drum, air-flow wise. Vapor rose, hung around the ceiling and, viola!

Don't do it unless you have a couple of Grand just laying around in case you are caught. That is the fine for vaping on the plane plus a very long conversation with the authorities.

yes... Fines are $2200 if caught vaping or smoking in the main cabin. $3300 in the restroom. Self control = Priceless...

Some airlines don't mind vaping, check if the airline has a policy before flying. I personally like using an ego with a mini dripping head while flying. With 80pg/20vg juice and holding in the inhale for a few seconds there is practically no vapor, especially if done under a blanket or into your jacket. I wouldn't recommend vaping on a plane if it's not allowed but I do it without any issues. Btw I use the dripper because it won't leak all over the place during altitude changes and run high nic juice to minimize my vaping.

Some long haul flights, 6 - 9 hours flight is really hard on the craving, I thought qith craving I can finally fix that problem

Get a patch. Chew some gum. Or exercise some self control. Leave the vape gear in your checked bag. It has no place inside an aircraft cabin. Does this really merit serious discussion?

If you're willing to take the risk it can be done - very carefully.

Just because it "can be done" doesn't mean it should be done. How selfish are we?

I believe I stated the facts, not whether or not it should be done.

Double-inhale (vape, inhale, then mouth-inhale a 2nd time).. Hold for 10 seconds...

I've done this on a handful of US domestic flights earlier this year, with an APV & VG juice -- zero vapor..

Do *not* do this in the plane bathroom, though..

Do it in your seat.. shut off the overhead light, turn on the overhead air nozzle, shut off any lit screen (TV, laptop) in front of you..

Use a blanket or jacket if you need to -- but don't look all suspicious, either..

Window seats & night flights are much easier..

All at your own risk, of course...

In theory, exhaling into a wet paper towel in the bathroom ought to end the particle detection. It seems to work around folks who are pg-sensitive, whom I considerately try not to give reactions to...

That being said, I refuse to fly; drive everywhere I go and take a few extra days to do it, because flying has long since failed to be an enjoyable thing. TSA is not the only thing that prohibits enjoyment for me; invariably some inconsiderate boob is coming down with or has an actively transmissable flu virus, and shares it with me.

If you cannot get gum or patch where you live, the length of the flight you are speaking of suggests you might have better luck shopping for these things at your destination. That would at least make your trip home more bearable.

YMMV, I don't recommend risking your freedom or finances vaping on an airline. Not to mention, giving the goofballs who are anti-vaping and determined to pass legislation all over the world prohibiting it, more ammo.

Obviously you have not been addicted to nicotine for over forty years. The patch or gum might work for some people but not for me, hence why I vape. There is plenty of information available showing that vaping does not harm others like second hand smoke does and certainly will not bring down the plane. Where's the harm? I am thinking the only harm is in people being ignorant to the real facts about vaping. If you want to sit beside me, as I nic fit, for a twenty-seven hour flight and explain it to be I would be greatly appreciative. I have taken over twenty international flights already this year and at least thirty domestic flights and vaped on every one of them without so much as a slighest complaint from anybody. I am not cloud chasing, I am discreet and I always carry a fact sheet about vaping in my bag in case anybody does question me.

Not very selfish at all but I am heavily addicted to nicotine and very well informed about vaping.

100% PG juice in an eRoll makes so little visible vapor that its like a heat wave in the air, gone in an instant ...

I stealth vape frequently on Greyhound buses and Amtrak trains. My only concern in the bathroom is that it might make it smell better ...

In my seat, if anyone does happen to look at the right moment, they probably assume that I'm chewing on a pen. The human brain interprets images into something familiar. If it doesn't look like a cigarette (black eRoll), is not held like one, and doesn't smell like on, it just can't be one ...

And it isn't one ... :D
