24 days no nicotine. still free, no urges, no backsliding (despite all the jars of nic juice i have, i ordered 2 more bottles of 0 from fuzion vapors. (unicorn blood, and gumby blood) hoping they stand up to the hype) it is real nice being no longer married to the nic fix. leaving the PV home more and more now. vaping dropping off alot.
Congrats, soon it will be one month!
I was buying extra high nic strength juice when I started vaping but when I started DIY juice I began at 18mg/ml. I hit a brick wall three weeks after changing to vaping, missing some of the other WTA's but worked through it and am improving. It was a nasty two weeks at work, I've got to say. I've dropped the DIY nic down to 16mg/ml and honestly don't notice much difference, but I am going to go back to 80/20 PG/VG for the throat hit, and also in the hope that my Vivi Novas will work better with a thinner juice.
I'll stay at 16mg/ml for a few more weeks, but will drop to 14mg/ml eventually. Because of this I'm only mixing smaller batches so steeping times are out the window. I think I'm moving away from tobacco flavours slowly, so maybe this won't be a big issue.
Thanks again for the inspiration.
I did not start this journey to give up all of my nicotine addiction. My main goal was to find some way of "smoking" without constantly poisoning myself with tar and other products of combustion. Now that I'm nearly over the whole tobacco cigarette thing, I'm finding the move to lowering nicotine levels to be just a natural progression, but not going to put pressure on myself. If I can get to 0mg then all well and good.
I'm also enjoying nose hit more and vapour inhalation less, which makes sense when you know how vaping works.
Last interesting point: When I gave up smoking using traditional NRT previously, tobacco smoke from others always smelt great, and I wanted to be there; hence the relapse even after three years I guess. Now that I'm vaping, tobacco smoke smells absolutely foul and I'm hoping this is a sign that I'm over tobacco permanently, and is possibly one reason why my tastes are starting to move away from the tobacco flavourings. This is a problem because I'm having trouble finding types of flavours I prefer to the tobacco ones. I even tried a watermelon and while it was interesting for one batch I have no wish to mix up another. FA watermelon anyone?
