I have a bunch of coworkers who are long time smokers are really interested in vaping and ecigarettes... But are held back but the idiotic comments from the non-smokers...

But, its the ignorant people that dont smoke say idiotic and stupid comments... Like it'll still give you lung cancer ... Man, I really love people that talk out of their ... ... Why do non-smokers say you can just quit ... Its soo easy to say but when the shoes was on the other foot they'd be in the same ....ed up situation...

Sorry for the rant...

But anyway anyone convert their coworkers at work ???

Yes, several converts. And, one in the works ... unfortunately, his introductory kit arrived with a DOA battery. It will be replaced.

I get more resistance from former smokers who have quit smoking cold turkey. Comments like, "Why don't you just quit? I did it." More power to them. But, they don't seem to grasp that I'm happy just to have given up the smoke and tar without (yet) quitting the nicotine. I'm actually in no rush to quit the nicotine, but time will tell.
Nicotine isn't the big threat, it's the smoke.

vaping isn't well understood by most people outside of the loop. See my avatar? I get a lot of ignorant comments about it too (both the avatar and the car). People do tend to be opinionated about things easily ... "don't confuse me with the facts".

I´ve converted one so far, and have three others that are on the verge of placing their first orders (and I´ll be there to help them make sound choices).

At my company´s recent Academic Conference, I was vaping like a fiend (never once having to step outside the conference halls, or hotel, or wait for smoke breaks!) and my PV garned a ton of interest. I easily planted a half-dozen more seeds in the minds of various smokers.

One problem down here, however, is that it´s hard for the average person to come up with the "start-up" money necessary to become a vaper.

But; so far, so good.:D

2 people I work with have placed orders for starter kits....4 or 5 are continuously asking about it and keep smoking on mine to see what the nights flavor is....its just a matter of time for them.......its spreading like wild non-fire!!!!

Quite a few of my friends on facebook said they have ordered kits just this week as well.

My roommate and I started vaping at the same time and are both student in the same department at the same school. I have already got 1 other person waiting on a 510, and sparked interest in another.

I saw a youtube video(cant recall the user) where this guy explained that he kept a new, prefilled cart on him at all time to whip out when an interested party is REALLY interested and wants to try it out. its great advice and ive been carrying a blank cart with me ever since!

Converted 3 but 1 went back to smoking (but his wife is on his case to vape instead of smoke hehehe)

Probably because he vaped those crappy-yukko prefilled carts that come with a lot of starter packs. Maybe that's what he thought was all he had to look forward to. Take him over something too awesome to vape on, and he might just float wifey-poo's boat by returning to the wonderful world of vaping, ahhhhhh.;)

I converted one but not by trying they heard about it throught the grapevine at work. Not to many people in my building that smoke, maybe 15 out of 150.

One of these lunch times, take about a 5-block radius hike around your place of business. I bet you anything you'll see people from your work along the way tucked in some odd places toking up a storm. Also, those who drive away at lunch time are probably parked somewhere toking up a storm w/their windows down and their fans on. I know cuz I've done it all. I used to walk uptown about 6 blocks to closet smoke when I lived in Santa Barbara. Then one day, I just quit smoking at 7:30am and didn't smoke again until I got in the car in the evening -- then I was nonstop chaining and wine sipping until my head hit the pillow. Ah, doncha just luv vaping! No stink, no sneaking, no damage, no problem -- can even sneak puffs in the bathroom at work.
