So my wife and I had experimented with vaping with one our son's e-cigs and different tanks, etc for a few months and then in December with it being so cold here we decided to take the plunge and see if we could replace smoking with vaping. Actually I thought there was little chance for me, I had been smoking over 40 years and tried before but nothing ever worked. But if it meant not going out in 30 below zero weather as much, ok, I'm game. So we bought mods and carto tanks and started vaping more heavily. We already knew what juice we liked so that was simple, a tobacco flavor labeled kml by a local B&M. Well I have ordered juices from several Internet vendors now, we have gone to other B&M's to try juices and we can't find anything that we like more than a very short time. I am perplexed by this, I know I was extremely partial to whatever analogs I smoked but I did change that about 4 times over the years so I knew that could be done. But why is it so hard to adjust to a different juice? Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what did you do?

I have gotten some sweet juices as well and those are ok for a short time but then I am having withdrawal for my regular juice. It is frustrating! I don't know the blend of their juice, something I need to ask them, but we get the 24 mg. I am going to get some 12 mg of it tomorrow or the next day because I just started dripping and the 24 mg is a little strong for that, my wife can't do it. I didn't notice a problem but others have said you want to cut the nicotine level down when dripping. Any and all help is HUGELY appreciated! Thanks. :vapor:

For a large part of last year I used one juice almost exclusively. Nothing else was interesting to me. Then one day it changed for me and I started branching out again.

Is there a reason you don't want to just use that one juice?

Maybe try one of the juice subscription services? Zamplebox, Drip Club, Craft Vapery. They send you a box of samples each month you are subscribed. Might help you find new juices.

I always get stuck on one juice that I use as my all day vape, but I keep sampling other juices as well. Sometimes I have a rotation of juices. Keep 3 at my desk and just switch them out throughout the day.

You may eventually find one you like more. I've gone through 3 ADVs. And now I've found another juice that will probably replace my current ADV. I had one ADV that I used for 2 months, another I used for 8 months, then the last one for 3 months.

When I quit smoking I vaped a lot of peppermint, a candy-cane flavor. Even at first I craved variety, but I have always liked that candy cane...even when nothing else tastes good. It's good to have a fall-back flavor, and it sounds like you found yours early. It's a good thing, nothing to be bothered by!

BTW, congrats to you and your wife for making the switch. Way to go!

Thanks. Not exactly really, was just frustrated a bit when I hear everyone talking about all the great juices and then none of them quite do it for me. I suspect it is because I vaped that one exclusively until more recently and I am just so used to as you become with a certain cigarette. Believe me, not going to rock the boat too hard because it is miracle that I am closing in on 2 months without smoking. I was very, very young the last time this happened so I am not knocking it and if it isn't broke, I'm not going to fix it but just wondered if some had a similar experience early on with vaping is mainly what I was asking.

Mt baker vapor has a large selection of juices for cheap. That seems to be the easiest way to find an adv. I just ordered about 6 juices from them n have tried 3 so far.its all trial and error. Until you find the perfect one.

I ordered a tobacco flavor from them but we didn't like it. The thing is some of them taste more like cigarettes than what we got accustomed to so some of these juices are done better than the one we use but now some of the stronger tobacco flavors are not desirable to us all. I did get a some prefilled cartos from Valuevapor which I hadn't seen those before and we haven't tried the tobacco ones yet, hoping one of those tastes very similar to what we are used to so there is some alternative. I don't know if any of the other places do the prefilled cartos like that but that is an awesome idea! No hassle trying one to see if you want to order a bunch of it. I can do that better now with a dripper but it is even easier with the prefilled cartos.

which places have you ordered from and what did you like the most out of what you ordered? Then maybe there'd be a starting point for figuring out what you might like

Mt Baker, Valuevapor and we have gone around trying different things at B&M's in the area. The problem is what tastes kind of good at the shop, then I get it home and after a short time all I want is what I started with so I go right back to that. I think until I have a LOT more time not smoking I will just not mess with it. I more wondered if other people had this same experience and if it changed eventually.

Sorry, my experience differs. I hear after the first few weeks of not smoking your taste buds change... Sounds like you are way beyond that though.

As far as tobacco flavors I like Avejuice.Com c&d gamel. Also halo Tiki juice is my new favorite. Hint of mint and like a mildly sweet pipe tobacco. (taste is very subjective, so ymmv)

Keep trying all kinds of juice at the B&Ms, you are bound to find something else to enjoy!

Thanks! I appreciate it, I am kind of proud of myself. We some grown kids that smoke and one already stopped with vaping and another wants to so I guess the influence parents have can help, I am really happy my wife quit, she totally stopped smoking before me. I had a couple weeks where I couldn't let go of that last 2 cigarettes a day. It is a mental thing, no doubt.

Look into DIY. Then you can mix up what you're in the mood for. And make it exact to your taste. More minty? Add some. More sweet? Add sweetener.

Even if you are buying vendor juice, get some basic flavorings and "doctor it". :)

That's what got me into DIY....I started fixing things and then figured why not just make it myself in the first place.

I had the same experience when i started and bought my juice from local shops who had a limited range of brands. Then the first few times i ordered online I wasn't too satisfied either. Now I have found so many that I love! It took a while though.

I suggest trying out http://www.goodlifevapor.com/ (they are closed on sundays now but will be back open tomorrow) You can get a sample pack of 4 10ml bottles for $20 (code vapetv will save you another couple of bucks)
It's a good deal and the juice is very full on flavor. They have a nice range of flavors and some really nice tobacco ones too.
The El Kamino is a good tobacco and very well liked. I also love the Newminster No. 23 (blackberry tobacco), the Blue Swag (blueberry tobacco), English Bulldog, the High Five is nice (tobacco, vanilla, brandy).

I found one that I thought, hey, this is nice, bought some and brought it home and filled a carto tank with it. Well got sick of it quick and just wanted my regular back so I switched tanks back. Now I have a caramel in that tank but it kind of tastes like pina colada instead of caramel so I have to find someone that has an awesome caramel because that is a flavor I LOVE! So if anyone knows of a really good one, let me know and I will order some to try it out!
