OK, so before anyone flames me for starting "yet another of the countless threads about inhaling vs. not inhaling" let me say up front that I've done a lot of reading and digesting of dozens of existing threads on the subject (and boy are a lot of them loooooong), and have started my own non-scientific (as in non-laboratory, etc.) experiments to get a personal feel for the answer to the question of whether one gets more, or as much, or less absorbed nicotine when inhaling vs only mouth and nose, or inhaling plus mouth and nose, etc. and am interested to hear if anyone else has done similar tests and has any personal impressions to offer, while I am conducting my own.
My background is 20+ years of smoking pipes, and to a lesser extent cigars, but seldom cigarettes, and most of the time not inhaling (only when I wanted a quick nic hit, at the start of a smoking session, but rarely as I tended to smoke my pipes regularly throughout the day).
When starting e-cigs, I assumed that one had to inhale to get the nicotine. I understand now that that is incorrect, and one likely absorbs more though the mouth and nose, but I've also noted that (for me) a shallow inhale followed by slow exhale though the nose improves the flavor, and stealth vaping requires full inhale and holding, so that little to no vapor is exhaled.
I'm wondering if I am "wasting" liquid/nic proportionate to how much I inhale, since much of the vapor is clearly condensing (or otherwise remaining) somewhere internally and not exiting through e.g. the nose, and if it's remaining somewhere that doesn't allow absorption as well as the mouth and nose, how much am I missing out on the absorption potential of each "hit"?
E.g. if I know I am going to be stealth vaping, with full inhale and holding, should I then vape a liquid with higher nic content than when vaping like I smoked my pipe with no or little inhalation?
I have seen this question "talked around and hinted at" in numerous threads, but not given any direct focus (if it has been previously discussed, I've missed such discussions, so anyone feel free to provide any links).
Anyone have any experienced comments regarding such questions?

Oh, and a note to the moderators: This is a great forum and an outstanding resource, and I am happy to be a new member; however, as a mature adult and a veteran internet user having been an active member of many forums for decades, i.e. since pre-web USENET news, etc., I find the "you must post 5 times in the newby forum before you can interact in other forum threads" to be really insulting, even though I know your reasons. It is a bad policy and you should either remove it, or reduce it to simply a required single introduction post for new members. It equates to telling newcomers at a party that they have stand over there in that corner for the first few hours before they can mingle about elsewhere. Just because one is new to a forum, and even new to vaping, does not mean they are incapable of joining or starting discussions intelligently, and just because someone has posted 5 times in the newby forums does not mean they aren't going to be a nuisance. The 5-post requirement is an unreasonable and excessive policy for discouraging trolls and other undesirables.... gee, I wonder if I'll get an asterisk now
