I'm also not a fan of Mt Baker. I've recently bought over $100 of their juices, thinking I couldn't go wrong with so many fans raving about it... I should have bought 2-3 only to try! Even with 1 week steeping, to me all of them taste nasty, very chemical. Can't stand to vape them. :-(

With a few exceptions, everything I have read suggests an aging time of 3-4 weeks for many of their juices. Most of the regulars order a month ahead.

In fact MBV might do well to say something about aging times on their website. It might help educate people more on their liquids.

That is the only problem I have seen so far in my " noobness " in the vaping world. Taste is so subjective.
I have never aged any MBV flavored liquid for 3-4weeks. It doesn't last that long.
Most is good right out of the mailbox .......TO ME! Some do get better the longer they age.
I may be new to the vaporizing world but my taste buds are 44yrs old and they know what they like.

Some can slide their underhanded comments in where they like but the most important point of vaporizing to 99% of us is to stay away from tobacco or at least that is what started us vaporizing our nicotine. Who cares what brand liquid it is that keeps us from tobacco as long as it works.......right?

from your condescending demeanor, this is what i gather....

noobies = stupid

veterans = brilliant

cheap = bad

pricey = good

yeah yea, heard it all a gazillion times already. View attachment 266437

would a mod PLEASE shut down this hate fest thread already????

I didn't get that at all about his post. This is an opinion thread. Not everyone is going to like the same vendor's juices. I gave them a try because of all the glowing reviews and found them "meh", for MY taste.

I wish this thread was here before I purchased, or I'd found it before then to read BOTH opinions. I may have ordered less to start off with (I went with 30 mls of the four flavors I picked, that all had glowing reviews).

I even said in my post that I would revisit them in a month or two. My OPINION may change then.

I started to realize MBV wasn't for me when everything "cream" tasted and smelled like ethnic hair product, anything "fruit" tasted like sweet tarts/pixie stix, and anything "tobacco" just tasted like something awful. Steeping did little to change that.

Hrm. I never bashed them. In fact, I praised them.

All I said was I outgrew them, and explained why.

You used an unsupportable generalization, coupled with a thinly veiled ad hominem, to lend authority to a pure-opinion post. If you don't like Mt. Baker anymore, that's fine, but you could easily say so without also insinuating that MBV is only popular because its fans are clueless newbies who haven't yet reached your level of refinement -- a gratuitously scornful claim for which you couldn't possibly have any compelling evidence.

For what it's worth, as time passes, I'm proceeding in the opposite direction: I appreciate my heretofore-favorite boutique juices less and less, and my MBV flavors more and more. Maybe I've just hit the boutique juices too hard; maybe I just need variety. Maybe I've acquired a bizarre preference for the flavor of ethnic hair product. Or maybe, just maybe, tastes vary.

100% right. I suspect some of the attitude and comments come from dashed high-expectations and hopes of finding an inexpensive vendor with e-liquid they like. I can understand that--it sucks having expensive tastes sometimes. MBV is so popular that a lot of people have high expectations for their liquids, not realizing that their taste buds have something else in mind.

My tastes tend to run towards the expensive side. However, That doesn't mean I haven' t experienced some truly fantastic things in the most unlikely of places. Example: Some of the best food you would have ever encountered in New Orleans (Pre Katrina) came from hole in the wall places that only the locals knew about or would dare visit. While a lot of the high-end places that the tourists visited were just mediocre.

Exactly, if I could I would vaporize Jameson's melon medley all day every day. But at $25 for a 30ml bottle I keep that for dripping and an occasional carto tank fill. I understand that vaporizing one flavor all day every day has its inherit issues and that is another reason I don't. I have other vendors liquid that I vaporize but when I am chain vaping 10-15ml a day at work I want something that is satisfying and cost affective. Not to mention I can place a order for 60ml on a Saturday morning east coast and have it in my mailbox on Monday and there be 75ml in the box. :D

MBV's Cinnamon Roll is may ADV. It needs flavor shots or it is very ordinary. I have them add 4 and it is delicious. I like a couple other of their flavors, but dislike several others. I can say the same thing about juices at any number of more expensive vendors. I do not subscribe to the notion that when it comes to e-liquids, you necessary get what you pay for. Hype is often just that: hype. I've tried more than enough expensive, hyped up juices that I found unvapeable to know better. The reality is that everyone's taste buds are different. Not everyone will like the same juices. I can go to any vendor and find juices that are wonderful...I can also find juices at the same vendor that are awful. Like I said, this goes for any e-liquid vendor....including MBV.

If you don't like MBV don't buy 20 flavors and then bash them. I have dumped 2 30ML bottles down the drain, but have found several flavors from them which taste great to me. I use 3 vendors MBV, Hurricane Vapors and Ahlusion. The latter are more expensive, however the flavors are all excellent. I steep all for 2 weeks and I pour MBV juices in glass bottles.

Everyone has different tastes. Find your flavor and forget about price. You can purchase horrible tasting juice from every vendor.

Hrm. I never bashed them. In fact, I praised them. All I said was I outgrew them, and explained why. If you look at my past posts, I've never bashed MBV. I've always made sure to promote the fact that they're probably the best choice for noob vapers.

Noob does not equal stupid. I never said that. I was a noob, once, too. I understand the term "noob" can be taken out of context, but in this case, it wasn't derogatory.

And I never said "cheap = bad", I said you get what you pay for. If it satisfies you, it satisfies you.
I don't think your post sounded like "bashing" either, Rocketpunk. I think it sounded extremely diplomatic, and I agree wholeheartedly . . . but there are three things on this planet that are apparently sacrosanct beyond all others: ProVari, Ahlusions and Mount Baker Vapor.

For some reason that totally escapes me, a person mustn't ever entertain even the slightest reservation about the absolute superiority of these items. If you do, you'll be hated outright, and will never hear the end of it.

I'd give a lot to know why this is so. :)

I just received my first order from MBV. Prior to this I only had experience with juice from local b&m shops. I was paying 8-10$ for 10ml and the flavors were pretty muted. So when I tried what I received from mbv it tastes extremely strong in flavor,almost too strong but i did add 2-3 shots for each. Im just happy to have some juice I can finally taste the flavor. I cant wait to try them after a few weeks of steeping. I ordered 30ml,12mg,50/50,ecto cooler,hawk sauce,pina colada,green apple,and they gave me a free 15ml razzleberry pie which is very tasty. The shipping was only 3 days all the way down to SW FL. I will definitely order from them again.

I love getting a 50ml bottle for half the price of a 30ml bottle elsewhere, and I often cut the expensive stuff with some of the cheaper stuff. Some stuff I vape pure, cheap or boutique.... They all beat cigarettes - cheaper, healthier, and variety . Regular or menthol only on cigs, and they are pure evil lung darts.

A 30ml 25$ bottle of good fluid is still only the approx cost of four packs of cigarettes..... And I personally won't vape through a 30ml bottle in 4 days, especially since I love mixing flavors after the first couple tanks of pure

I started out using MBV because of the price. Liked them well enough but wanted to try other's liquids. Geez, I've ordered from 27 different places with prices all over the place but generally in the mid to higher price ranges. My findings have been that for me, the price has absolutely no impact on my enjoyment of any liquids. Zero, nada, zilch. Aging, however, has a big impact on the flavor for me. From the cheapest to the most expensive this holds true.

I like some of MBV's juices quite a lot. Some I don't care for but that has been true for me from every single vendor I have ordered from except three (Velvet Cloud, Nicoticket and Mister E). Considering the vast number of flavors MBV has I think the fact that I do like some of them speaks volumes.
