I get drug related jokes from my co-workers all the time. And I have so many stories about juice mishaps. There was the time a dropper top popped off a 30ml bottle while I was filling something. Or the (multiple) times a 2ml tank came apart while I was messing with it. Still that is preferable to the number of times I almost set myself on fire with cigarettes.
I just dumped a 4ml tank in hubby's car yesterday. Since it was his car and not mine there were no napkins stuffed between the seats. I had to use a used napkin and some paper off the floor to try and clean up menthol juice that was all over me. It did improve the smell in his car though.
Yes, they are messy. But I love messing around with my pv & liquids.
And no, I am not new to vaping. I've been at this long enough you would think the 'fun' would have worn off, but it hasn't - lol

Yes.. they can be rather messy.. even without adding clearomisers and tanks to the equation just a simple 510/306/901 atty with direct dripping can get very messy. With some atties, I get hardly any leaking and then I will change to a new atty and it is one that leaks a lot. For example, the last 510 I was using (for 5+ months) never leaked.. even if I put 4 drops of ejuice in... never leaked once. Yet, the one I have now can leak with only 2 drops... and it gets to the point where I need to blow out the excess sometimes, just so I can drip 2 or 3 drops to get the flavour/vapour needed, without it leaking.

Right Attypops! Not as messy as a full ashtray that catches the edge of the trash can and dumps all over the floor instead!
Compared to the alternative.... It's the burn holes that really sucked about smoking. I put one in the seat of my car like 2 weeks before I started vaping. Still makes me mad when I notice it.

Yes they may a messy if your not careful but they don't leave a smell and stain everything they touch like analogs
The only place they are messy for me is when I'm prefilling right next to my kitchen sink, wet paper towel cocked and ready
I still use carts and attys, the only time I make a mess is when I knock over the e-liquid bottle refilling carts.
I keep a roll of paper towels by my desk, but they generally get used more for wiping down threads and polishing my PV's than anything else. I've spilled a few times while DIY'ing, but nothing huge.
