So I have essentially quit smoking thanks to vaping, but I'd like to quit vaping soon because I want to go from harm reduction to harm elimination. I want to quit vaping because of the formaldehyde in vapor. I have cut back a lot in the last few days; I've gone from vaping 2-3 ml in a day to less than 1 ml/day. Anyone else here planning to quit eventually?

Don't we, as human beings, exhale formaldehyde as part of our normal biological processes?
And wasn't the formaldehyde that was exhaled by vapers not shown to be much more than normal human beings?

If I am wrong about that I would love some clarification.
But that is the conclusion I am sitting on after reading some threads on this matter.

Awesome question, same one that my wife asks me, not because she doesn't like me vaping, she has a PhD in Biology and maintains that any harm from vaping will never remotely come close to analogs. She asks only to find what my intentions are, and I do not know.

What I do know is I did manage to quit analogs before with the help of NRT for 6 months, but eventually went back into it, after a holiday that involved a fair bit of alcohol.

So even if I do come to a point where I do not vape on a daily basis, I would still take my ecig with me before hitting the bars. I am not sure if that would count as quitting. I have met smokers that manage to quit analogs cold turkey, but I have never met one who could tell me in all honesty that they have had absolutely no temptation to smoke after.

Yup, adult beverages can make people give into all kinds of self gratifying urges, and thankyou lord for that! heh, but you would wise to take it with you for sure.

I have known people who had quit for ten years then started back up lickity split one day, for whatever reason, probably because they wanted too I guess.

I have a 6-years supply of nicotine. I hope I have enough time to make a decision about quitting.

But is it all in the freezer... or is it really only 5.9 years worth ;)

I don't plan to quit vaping, the act of drawing in the vapor and watching it as I blow it out is relaxing to me and enjoyable. I will reduce my nicotine intake, but I have no set schedule for that. I did just shave ~0.4mg/ml off this last week.

EDIT: I nearly forgot to mention how I enjoy the flavors...
