Recently "upgraded" or so I thought to a nautilus. First day I loved it. Then that night the coil started to give me dry hits every other hit. So I put the extra coil in. Awesome for about two days and then same problem. Then I bought a new coil and same thing happened again. The air holes even seemed to be drilled further up on the new coil but still the same problem. This is really annoying considering the tank is expensive and the coils are stupid expensive. How the heck do I fix this. I'm ready to shatter this thing.

Tootlers; i'm having this same problem with my aspire!
I've been vaping now for six months and this was my 4th tank. Love vaping and the hit and vape seem to be brilliant for the 1st week or so on all the tanks I've had but then they just give up. Decided to go for the Aspire which was brilliant for a week so I bought 4 genuine coil heads and everyone lasted only 3 or 4 days before I got zero vape, overheating and flooding. I've had my aspire for around 3 weeks and have given up on it now. The inconsistency and flooding were driving me mad. I bought an iclear 30s today and it is superb. So so much better than the aspire even when ithat t was working at its best.
I shall wait now until the quality control drastically improves on the coil heads before I go back to the really frustrating Aspire Nautilus!

I've got a half dozen nautilus tanks sitting waiting on better days now. Moved on to the kanger aerotank mega, which seems to deliver more consistantly, and without the issue of the bottom pin poking out on me eventually and hosing my 510 connectors. That being said, I'll keep the nautiluses, because Aspire tends to get on top of problems and fix them.

I ordered 2 Nautilus tanks and had them for about 4 days and they were so good that I ordered 2 more along with 2 packages of replacement coils. Then the original coils started failing so I started swapping in the new coils. It was such hit and miss with those coils. Some would last me less than a day while others would last a week or more. When the Nautiluses worked they were great but it was such a crap shoot.

I decided that I was not going to be paying $2.50 a pop for what might end up being a dud so I ordered 2 Kayfuns. After receiving them and using them, I ordered 2 more and have never looked back at the Nautilus tanks. As a matter of fact I am expecting delivery of my first RDA next Monday.

This is one of the main reasons most experienced Vapers get into RBA, RDA self sufficient type atomizers. The dud batches of every single premade brand out there at one time or another has been frustrating. The Nautilus was one of the the most fantasize ever, but, like with everything mass produced, they slacked on QC & rushed the popular batches out the door. They've since fixed the problem coils with new improved vertical coils. Do we trust The future batches to be perfect or not? The horizontal coils worked fantastic until they were so popular people were stock piling them. I hope the new ones are trustable. The Nautilus is fantastic when trustable.
There are fixes for your dud coils, here on ECF.

I HATE the nautilus. I bought one and had nothing but problems with it. Gurgling like I was sucking the bottom of a cup of soda, flooding, wasting a lot of juice, Having to take the thing apart to get the flood of juice out...Hated it. Then I found out, after skipping my Nautilus across a parking lot, that there were a lot of sub standard knock offs out there that were Identical right down to the scratch sticker. Glad I didn't pay full price. SOOOOOO. I bought one directly from Aspire. It's like the Diva of vape equipment. It's magnificent......when you can get it to work. Fill it up, and gurgle gurgle...Ok. pull it apart and wipe up the flood. Now You get just a little vapor....Then, like magic, It works GREAT!. Lots of vapor, Great flavor. Then you set it down for a while. ANNNND we're back to square one. Clean up the juice flood, persevere through the decreased vapor...then TA DA! It produces vapor. I HATE this flooding, temperamental, Overpriced, hunk of garbage. As soon as I Get my pro tank up and running Again, I plan to send this thing back to Aspire with a note explaining what they can do with it. I know a lot of people who have a nautilus and are thrilled with it. Some are outright in love with theirs. I am happy for you. I wish I had as good an experience as you. I have had two...both were junk.

I think it's a pretty good off the shelf tank if you get good coils for it. Totally agree with the gurgle but haven't really had leaking issues (minor but nothing to strangle my dog over). It does produce good flavor and vapor. For some reason, I keep going back to my aerotank mega and aerotank mini for my travel back ups in lieu of the nautilus. Haven't tried to new bvc coils but I'm sure I will.

I will say that for the price of the nautilus, you can find an ehpro Kayfun lite+ (a clone) and it blows the nautilus out of the water...only thing is you have to be willing to either learn how to coil/wick yourself or pay a local vape shop to do it for you.

I feel your pain. I have 3 nautilus full size and 2 minis. Running the new BVC coils after having fair luck with the BDC coils. Bought a KFL+ and a magma this week. Have a feeling the nautilus tanks will see limited use now

Honestly If ur into big tanks toss that aspire out the window and get a kayfun or a russian, never a dry hit and never frustrated. This is why I got into RBA's is because the rest is just mass produced crap. When Building ur own set up you are in control from the start on how good the vape will be. More flavor and vapor and much longer life spans. All u need is some kenthal and some cotton and ur set for a very long time.

I'm surprised in 17 replies there is really nobody contradicting the terrible reviews here. In other threads folks have raved about them. I've been very tempted to switch from Kanger, but now y'all have me thinking twice about it. My Aerotank works really well. There was some love/hate going on, but a lot of that was user error on my end such as screwing the pieces together too tightly and not using high enough voltage to prevent flooding. Since I've been taking better care of it the Aerotank has been taking good care of me. There may be a PT3 and a large order of Kanger coils in my future.

I have an assortment of aerotanks also. Mega, V2, mini. That are also good for what they are. I've spent a boatload of money on various tanks using prebuilt coils. What I've found out is they all have issues of some type. I've tried to avoid the Rba route but I now see it's the best way to go. If you're not comfortable building coils find a good B&M and get them to do it for you :D In the end it will be a so much better vaping experience :2c:
