I've only been vaping a little over a month but surprisingly I have had no problem vaping indoors anywhere. And I do it about everywhere I go. vaping at school which is a strictly non-smoking campus has not been a problem. I would normally vape in the cafe and nobody has given me looks or even acknowledged it(I tried to be a bit subtle with it though). I haven't tried vaping in class just because I think it would be rude. I was vaping at a bar with 50+ people in it just sitting on the couch vaping with 0 problems. Same goes with restaurants, convenience stores, you name it. I don't know if everyone knows what it is or some people are just confused by it. I'd be happy to explain it or stop using it if asked but I haven't encountered this yet. I just find it kind of odd with how new these things are.

I vape anywhere and everywhere. I get looks all the time. If I overhear someone saying anything I ask " Is there a problem with me vaping" Basically will I tell them it's nothing different then what's in Cake and Ice Cream besides the nicotine and its exhale is water vapor and won't harm them at all. No matter what answer they give. Then I go back to vaping.

I haven't been anywhere that I've been told that I couldn't vape, or to stop vaping. HOWEVER, I would not and do not vape in restaurants simply because people are trying to smell their steak, not your raspberry watermelon cafe mocha starwars character eliquid. Just like if you're a waiter/waitress you shouldn't wear perfume or strong lotion while working. Even though I'm allowed to vape in the kitchen out of view of customers, I usually step outside just out of respect and habit.

Also probably would avoid vaping in a drs office, kiddie school, funeral home, church, places like that. I dunno...never been an issue for me but I really try not to flaunt it, but I don't stealth vape either unless just sneaking a quick one in.

Would recommend never trying to vape in class. Like anything not education related, it would be a distraction. I Vape anywhere I feel comfortable. That meaning I am not in a position to bother anyone else.
Not a good Idea to vape in a job like mine. Though vaping it not smoking, which is banned in the work place, it can and would probably be viewed as work stoppage (stealing company time) and grounds for dismissal.

I vape pretty much every where I go. Most people won't say anything cause it doesn't smell like a cig.

I have found that 99% of people who have "confronted" me about vaping somewhere in public are COMPLETELY satisfied by the response "it's an e-cig" and allow me to continue about my business with no further fuss.

i had a 15 minute conversation with a police officer at the gas station just yesterday because i was using my PV lol

i was sitting in my car vaping while my gas was pumping and another customer came up to me and said, "are you seriously smoking at the pump?" i explained to him that it was electronic and only water vapor but he said "its still smoking, its a horrible idea at a gas station. youre going to get somebody killed"

*face palm*

anyway, he called the police and as i was leaving they stopped me to see what was going on. didnt have any problem once i showed it to him, and he seemed interested in it, not angry. it was still an annoyance to have to sit there an extra fifteen minutes, even after trying to explain my PV to the worried customer :p

I would have to say that entering/exiting your car while actively pumping gas is in itself a bad idea. That said, I'd also have to believe that using your PV at the gas pump would be just as dangerous as using your cell phone at the gas pump (I do realize you were sitting in your car, not standing at the pump).

I would not recommend any of the above. .02

Not to say that I would have said anything to you about it, but when you blew up I wouldn't have shed a tear either. Happy vaping :)

why is it dangerous to use an electronic device at a pump? if its dangerous i wont do it again, but now im curious!
