Ive already ordered all my DIY ejuice supplies...if it gets banned, I will have something to fall back on for a while. But, at the end of the day, whatever happens happens. I think its ridiculous, and im pretty sure big tobacco is behind it all. Theyve lost tons of money because of us. I dont even understand how cigarettes are still legal. But whatever. Ill vape until the end. :)

Because the gov't *just might* have learned something from prohibition -- we can all hope so very fervently -- that if you make illegal something that a large number of people are addicted to, those addicted people will FIND a way to get it, and that way is black-market -- organized crime is very happy to take up any slack they can find. I'm sure OC would be delighted if vaping was banned, or so highly taxed that regular folks could no longer afford it; they'd have a whole new playground and profit center!

Right, right... sure... not. All the gov't learned is that they can make money off the taxes of cigarettes and alcohol. They're starting to learn that about pot too, pretty soon all 50 will be on that bandwagon. The gov't doesn't give a crap about what we really want because they care about it, they care about what we want if it can make them money.

That is Why e-Cigarettes/e-Liquids were Never in Danger of being Banned.

Severely Regulated? Sure.
Only Sold by BT and BB? Probably.
Taxed to High Heaven? About a Given.

But Banned? Nope.

So I'm kinda prepping for the unknown with the looming FDA regulations and making my E-juice much cheaper at the same time.
I currently have on the way...
1 gallon pure PG via Bulk Apothecary
1 gallon pure VG via Bulk Apothecary ( I plan to 50/50 mix)
500ML of 50/50 100mg Nicotine Base via Vapor Shots (makes almost 170 30ml bottles @10% nic)
All flavors via Mount Baker Vapors and all are 15mls in volume
Candy Cane Electronic Cigarette Flavoring
Cin City Electronic Cigarette Flavoring
Vanilla Custard Electronic Cigarette Flavoring
RY4 Electronic Cigarette Flavoring
Sweet Cream Electronic Cigarette Flavoring
Sweetener Electronic Cigarette Flavoring
Moo Juice Electronic Cigarette Flavoring
Caramel Apple Electronic Cigarette Flavoring
Rainbow Roundies (skittles) Electronic Cigarette Flavoring

FYI....This entire order was 145.69 shipped and minus needing more flavoring to complete, if my math is correct, should make approximately 5000mls of 50/50 10% nicotine e-liquid which sounded like a pretty good deal to me. (4 1/2 years worth at 3mls a day)

I plan on trying to order the 1000ml bottle of the 50/50 nicotine base from Vapor Shots next week and plenty of flavors as these seem to be what will be extinct if things go bad for vapers with new strict FDA regulations. Who knows????
I'm 38 now and its not a lifetime supply but its a good start!
:toast:

I stock only stuff that might be ilegal such as nicotine liquid and devices , no need to store PG and VGS .

I think that the preparation for Vaping apocalypse should require only buying base Nicotine , Mechanical mods and some RBA'S/RDA'S , the rest will never be ilegal :wires, wicks,pg,vg,flavors .

Quick, somebody make a cheap LED flashlight head with a 510 connection and we'll label rebuildable atomizers as custom wood burning heads with safety caps. No vaping going on around here, sir. Move along.

The e-LVT has a flashlight. And the way it's built, it wouldn't be hard to tie onto your head.:vapor:

there seems to be a lot of talk about banning these everywhere but like a post before said, if they ban it then the black market will take up the slack so either way all they will do is back us into a corner to illegally source the ingredience we need to do this. if they have any sense then regulate it but with some common sense as if they get to stupid we will all go the black market way anyway,

The thing of which you speak is already out there... somewhere. It's insanely over-priced for what it is though (like over $25.00) so it's hardly ever mentioned. Only seen one vendor selling it and I must be having a mental block over the price thing as I can't remember the name.

Hey, speaking of preparing for the end... has anyone tried the nicotine from ecigexpress? For 100mg, in the middle size (115-120ml) their price is just *slightly* better than Wiz Labs, and you get to choose PG, VG, or 50/50 -- WizLab only has either/or, none of the 50/50. I'm thinking of ordering some from ecigexpress when I order some flavors, but just wondered if anyone had tried it, if the taste compares to that from Wizlabs.

Sure. But that could mean getting a couple 30 ml bottles of liquid with any nicotine in it could cost as much as the $200.00 I just paid for my mini freezer and the bottles to go in it. (I could care less about what I'm about to pay for the nic going in those bottles - at current pricing.)

That, and then there's all that hassle of trying to chase down black market goods ("Nope, try again next week...") of dubious background or quality.

I hedged my bets. My most recent vape mail is... a freezer.

I cleaned out 2 1/2 yrs worth of old frozen food no one was ever going to eat! So now the whole bottom of my regular freezer is empty, so I have a place for a box full of bottles of nicotine, and my husband has a place for those humongous BlueBell ice-cream tubs that don't fit anywhere else in my freezer! :D

May want to park and have a read/search here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/298547-nicotine-comparisons.html

I bought a 120 ml "sample size" (lol) @ 48 mg - haven't had a chance to check it out yet though.

For me it's just not a practical option. The other half has this peculiar "hoarding groceries" issue and the freezer is always full. (The repair man - because it had to be repaired... - chastised her for having the freezer too full and breaking the danged thing.) I had to get the mini freezer to dedicate to nic storage. I'm going to have to figure out how to lock it so "my" freezer doesn't get crammed full of... god knows what when it should be chock full of nic and nic only.

If anyone needs a small one I opted for the Haier HUM013EA and you can get them at Target on-line for about 145 bucks.

I read a few posts there, but really just don't have the time to read the entire thread. I did a search for ecigexpress, no one seems to have any objections to it other than price, but for those medium sizes, their price is just marginally better than Wizlabs -- WL is $15.99 for 120ml (.13325 per ml); ECX is $14.99 for 115ml (.13034 per ml). As I said, *marginally*! Mainly I like ECX's because of the 50/50, and because I'm ordering flavors from them anyway, so I'd really save on shipping costs.

I don't order huge quantities because a) I can't afford a huge outlay at any one time; b) my space is limited; c) my own use of nicotine is pretty low (usually vape 7-10mg); and d) I'm *just* getting involved in learning the DIY thing, so really don't need or want a huge quantity right now. I'm ordering some each month, against the possibility of the FDA imposing massive taxes on it, but that may be some time off, so I figure I've got time, ordering small amounts each month. Because I'm pretty darn sure they WILL eventually tax it, and probably pretty high taxes, to make up the tobacco-sales shortfall. If I have a few hundred (or thousand) ml's put back, I'll have a bit of a cushion against whatever they decide to do about flavored e-liquids, and hopefully in the coming months I'll get good enough at the DIY thing to make it a feasible option for myself. Worse comes to worst, maybe I'll still be able order my ADV e-juice in 0mg from MyFreedomSmokes and add my own nicotine to it.

I'm in a similar situation. I have a few liters put away already but have been told if I wanna put more nic in cold storage, I should get my own dang freezer. I'm tempted to build a walk-in. :D

Something like this costs about $13 at Home Depot:

That is actually a pretty awesome little device especially since it can also work on eGo style batteries as well as mods. Almost every e-cigarette battery I own has a ten second cut off timer built into it though and I think this would add unnecessary wear and tear on my e-cigarette batteries. Especially considering that I can buy a regular flashlight for cheaper, one that will actually stay on for more than ten seconds at a time, lol. Thank you for sharing those links though!

I found this particularly amusing as well as a little sad, as in I actually feel a little bad for you. As if to say that you actually will have the final say on the matter of your freezer. Eventually your ears will be subjected to the significant others classic line “Because I need it!”, lol.

AndriaD, Of course I can only offer you a suggestion based on my own research into the matter but the absolute best possible solution for long term nicotine storage would be to buy it with a 100% PG base. VG seems to promote a faster discoloration and degradation of the actual nicotine over time.

As far as all of the discussion on what the FDA will or won't do or can or can't do... This is a powerful entity that does not care about you or your interests that is fully backed and completely supported by an even more powerful entity that also does not care about you or your interests or your speculated freedoms as an American. At the end of the day, the people who actually have the power to regulate and enforce laws have a long running history of always doing what is in their best interest, not yours. The fact that they already have already shown a vested interest in regulating the vaping world doesn't mean that changes for us are a matter of if, it is simply a matter of when. Every dog has its day and the FDA is a two hundred pound Rottweiler with no leash that is trained to kill. These are the same people who mandate that all municipal water supplies and even bottled water be contaminated with Fluoride, despite it having been proven to have severe negative effects on the human body and mind. Does this mean the end for the vaping world, of course not but as with all organized crime, they are certainly not going to stop harassing or threatening you until they get their cut. They will eventually get their way, you can count on that!
