I've had a problem with a burning taste with every one of my juices for the past week and a half. No matter what voltage I was using (3.7 up to 5) it all tasted burnt ecept for maybe 1 out of 10 drags. I used attys from several very reputable suppliers, and they all tasted the same after a few hours of use. Kind of like a burnt taste, but not as extreme as an actual burnt up atty. Not knowing what else to do I ordered a few genuine joye attys and a few from Volcano(the Magma 510) since I've always been lucky with both of these. What do you know, all the juices taste fine, no burning taste at all; at any voltage. I disected one of each of the problem attys and it seems the mesh that covers the bridge(and also wraps under the coil pot) is all blue like it was exposed to extreme heat, and it also crumbled apart when I touched it with the tweezers. Has anyone else received any of these funky ones lately? And yes, each of the troubled ones are regular resistance (2.5 ohm) attys.

sounds like you are burning your atty's dry. Perhaps the cart filler is not touching the atty element. Have you tried dripping to test one? Stay at 3.7v until you resolve this problem.
Nope I picked up 10 around 4 weeks ago. The two I have used are fine. I was only driving them with an eGo though. Switched to LR's about 3 weeks ago and they are just sitting in the gear box now. Nowhere near the voltage you are hitting them with though. Maybe a bad batch of alloy for the mesh????
Thats what I'm thinking. I know I wasnt using them dry, been dripping and vaping for several months now. And like I posted, as soon as I switched to the other (Joyes and Volcanos) no problems.
I just picked up a 5 pack of SLB 510 LR. I have only tried one out of the box, so this might not be fair, but it was awful! I drip and I burned it out in less that 2 days by running it dry. But, it was hard to keep the atty wet because it was leaking so badly. Also lacked the flavor of the Joy 510's. I've learned my lesson, look for sales, not for cheaper attys.
