I too was timid to drill out my caps at first but now.... Pffft I don't even try it before I drill. At first start out with drilling at 5/64 try that awhile then on a cheapee like nimbus clone or patriot..... Up it to 3/32 and so on till you find d what you like. I personally stopped at 3/32 duel holes.

Short answer, no. With a few exceptions, I've drilled out every rebuildable I own that has fixed airflow. However, I usually step up hole size to the point where (for me) the airflow is almost too much for a mouth hit but not quite right for a lung hit.

That suits my style.

I do have a Trident clone I have been running on the dual air hole setting over dual coils which has been great. I guess this experience is what is driving me to think of drilling out others. Maybe I'll just look for other RDA clones with big airflow rather than take the chance of destroying the ones I own now. Maybe I'll just pick up an Omega and be done with it for now, then again I'll be ordering a Reo shortly and will have those RDAs to deal with...lol.

I really like my Omega but for me it's harder to build on than others that have post holes. I also like to be able to adjust WHERE me air holes are. But still LOVE me Omega !

I have drilled out both my Patriot and Igo W4 to 7/64" and love them. I haven't drilled out my KFL+ yet. Still nervous about wrecking a $125 tank. Plus, that is my stealth vape anyway. No reason for huge airflow with that. The stock hole is fine by me for what I use it for. My RDAs are my cloud machines.

I don't think I'd be brave enough to try and drill out a KFL, trying the same method on the Scar sounds interesting though. I just happen to have one of those ;-).

I'll try it on a few of my really cheap clones and see how it works. It isn't so much about the clouds as it is about the massive flavor, ok the clouds are nice too.

Oh my! Nice catch, didn't see that one in my GotSmok email. What size hole? I love the dual hole setting on my Trident clone so maybe the 3/32?

I have 6 IGO-W's. Drilled to different sizes. My favorite is 0.6 ohm dual coil with dual 5/64" air holes. Big enough for lung pull. Big enough for dense big clouds. Small enough for mildly warm vapor and good flavor.

3/32" isn't a big difference. 1/8" if main objective is clouds at expense of vapor quality. Better yet, get one of each:)

Just placed an order for one with the 5/64th holes which is what I was thinking, thanks for the lead and advice Emus! Under $20 drilled and shipped, what a bahgin as they'd say here in Boston.

Your welcome. Nice of them to drill it out for ya. Drilling SS is a bit of a pain even w/ drill press.

Once hole is 5/64" it is easier to step larger because working w/ bigger stronger bits. I can live w/ 5/64" all day long.

All these coils are close. In a today's 100% PG competition the last 2 won. #5 is currently the champion but none have been disqualified. #5 is twisted 30GA, 1/16" ID, 0.6 ohms.
