Yes! A guy at work straight out GUFFAWED at me when he saw me smoking it. Like it was the funniest thing he had ever seen in his life. And its not like I was smoking off some strange contraption I was smoking a blu which kinda looks normal. He's always making comments about it since then to, I really don't like him anymore because of it. It's not going to stop me from smoking it. My friends think its cool! Even my non smoker friends wanna try it! I do get a bit self conscious about it though like I won't light it up in a restaurant or out in public other than in my car or at work.
He's paying how much a pack for cigs (here it's $8.00) and he's laughing you?
Not really laughed at, but my kids find it amusing. I've had people do a double take when the see me vape and then ask me about it. It took a few weeks before I felt fully at ease vaping around people.
He's an ex-smoker, quit like a year ago or so or something? He'd been smoking longer than I've even been alive. Probably just jealous
I usually tell the smokers that it looks better than a portable oxygen tank (!), or that the $15000 my wife and i have saved don't look silly. That usually shuts them up

Dont stress it OP...the day will come when these same ppl will be asking your advise. Other than that, smoke is out, vape is in, they need to get with the times.
LOL....smoking longer than you've been alive!! LOL.... at least hes an ex smoker..... let him laugh, at least he found his own way to quit
I've never got laughed at but I got a shocked look the first time I used one in front of my Mother-in-law. She has a no smoking inside rule so you should have seen her face when I "lit up" in front of the tv. Priceless!
Nobody laughs at me. If anything, I've found it to be a great conversation starter.
i get comments all the time here at work i vape inside constanilty sometimes i go out with the smokers to to brag that i can breathway better then all of them but mostly i get it looks weird/ stupid and who wants to carry something that big makes me laugh but i did get like 4-5 people to start using them as well i love bringing my reo to work cause it looks like a detenator sence i use an XL carto on it lol

The people that laugh and deride are definitely people to avoid association with. Its their choice to continue to use analogs, and you chose something different. They need to grow up and aren't worth worrying about. I'm sure they go home and hate themselves, so they pick on others. It sucks that you have to work with these people, and they are ADULTS. They never got past the elementary school mentality though it seems. I'm sorry you have to deal with it, but remember that you aren't going to have the oxygen tank and possible cancer from smoking, or the host of other health problems, and you are happier.

When I first started up a friend of mine was getting married, so I flew back home. Was hanging with a ton of the gals I knew in high school, in this fancy dancy hotel room, up on the 7th floor for a bachelorette party. So we are hanging out drinking, and about every five mins a few would leave to go down the elevator to go out to the parking lot where it was freezing(early april and just off the beach does not make for warm nights) to smoke real quick.
And I was just sitting on the couch puffin away....one of the girls looked at me and went "you know, thats just weird" 0o and I went "maybe but I'm getting my nic" and of course she and a dozen of so others had to try it. (lot of them are vapors now to)

And follow it up with silly string, confetti, glitter and sparkles, and a happy dance worthy of a last-second touchdown in the Superbowl.
Because my silly laser-pointer is saving my Life! And it tastes Good! And it's Easy! And it's FUN! Cue the marching band, cheerleaders, and dancing girls! (No clowns,though - clowns are scary).
And follow it up with silly string, confetti, glitter and sparkles, and a happy dance worthy of a last-second touchdown in the Superbowl.

A couple of co workers called me and inquiered about vaping. I told them to checkout this site and go from there. They seem to like the riva. I don't know much about it but from what I have read it seems like a good starter e-cig. I say this as I vape on my Big KaZoo.
Thanks to all in this forum for their support. BTW Clowns freak me out as well...
