Getting my first Nickel build on after work tonight and wanted to make sure I'm doing it right. I have a spool of 26ga Ni200 wire waiting for me at home to go on my Subtank RBA, Mutation X V4, Turbo, Little Boy, etc. I'll go as far as to say I've gotten pretty darn good at building Kanthal coils (twisted, TLP, Parallel, standard, etc; nothing too fancy) but haven't built a Nickel coil yet. From my understanding, you want a nice spaced coil and for it to come out at between .05 and .15ohm (this is all being powered by an IPV4, btw). Then I go looking around and see twisted Nickel coils and other interesting looking setups.
So that leads me to ask a bunch of questions:
Am I best doing spaced coils?
Can I do contact coils, twisted, etc and get good consistent results?
How well do dual coils work out in an RDA?
Should I dry burn the coils like I do my Kanthal builds or is that a no no?
Forgive a newby at this but I learn quick. Thanks guys!
