Earlier in ths thread, I said:
"Avery® Easy Peel Clear Return Address Labels for Inkjet Printers #18695, 2/3" x 1-3/4", Pack of 600" (or #15695 for Laser Printers). The 2/3" width is just about perfect (at least for my carts). Well ... It seemed like a good idea at the time. The "clear" labels really are translucent. Probably would look clear on an envelope, but NOT when applied to my black cartomizers!
And the printing is illegible. Looked just fine when printed out on paper (with blackground). And it just looks messy on the cart.
I'll try to salvage what I can from the remaining sheets by printing a blackground on the labels. And I'm going to look into those post-its and multicolor neon labels suggested by others here.

That's what I do ;-)How about flavor on top of flavor until you get a "Suicide" cart?
I use smaller ziplock baggies I got at the craft store, they are 2"x3". I store them in a old tackle box.
I can write the flavor , strength and date on the the bag with a marker. Since I seem to be switching out flavors constantly, I figured it would help the liquid to stay put between swapping them out even those little caps probably do that just fine by themselves.

Funny, Don, I was just going to reply to your earlier post (way back in Feb) about the clear labels. I wondered how that was going to work -- it certainly wouldn't work on a black e-cig. So you figured it out then.
Organizing all my stuff at home is no problem, as I'm a crafter and other things, plus have always worked in offices (I love office supplies!) and have plenty of cool divided boxes and labeling systems. I also have a whole lot of cool and unusual and practical cases of all varieties, so I have plenty of things to carry around my e-cig with extras. But then, I carry a purse -- it would be different if I were trying to come up with a case to fit in shirt or pants pocket. I would probably make a small bag with zipper made out of rip-stop nylon.
But as for labels for the cartridges when I am using them, I don't really like to mar the elegance of my black 510 with a piece of something wrapped around it, but I'm doing so anyway.
Willowsong, you mentioned you use post-it notes. That doesn't stick on well for me, though I like that it doesn't leave adhesive residue. Do you mean you take off the post-it note when you are vaping?
I am currently using Avery 1/8" white correction tape, wrapped around the cartridge a couple times...but still the end comes loose. So I cut a tiny piece of scotch tape to keep the end in place. Goodness, what are we, miniaturists?

The super tiny ones. If they don't stick well enough, I use enough tape to keep it stuck to itself - and yes I take them off to use them. (That's with the cap on, btw)

Nope ... the clear labels didn't turn out so good.
I went to OfficeMax yesterday and purchased their brand of 2,000 white return address labels 1/2" X 1 3/4" (same size as Avery template 5267 and 8167) for about 13 bucks. They work great (although they do "mar the elegance of my black" e-cig (KR808D-1), but it's worth it.
There are 80 labels per sheet, so for my first sheet I laid out the flavors and potency (and PG vs. PEG) of all my current prefilled cartomizers and e-liquid. I've color-coded the flavors.
1 3/4" is too long to place on my cartomizers, so I reset the right margin of each column of labels to 1" and cut off the extra 3/4" after printing. Each label looks something like:

I place it near the battery end of the cartomizer so that my mouth doesn't touch the label. I'm switching off among about a dozen different cartomizers: different flavors and 3 levels of nicotine, including many 0 mg. Now I know what every thing is! I enjoy the experience of vaping and only need a nicotine intake (with concommitent throat hit) every hour or so.| Red Bull |

I know the ones you mean, WS, like for marking pages in a book, as you said. But I would cut those to be even narrower. I said, I think, that I've used 1/8" (one typewriter line) Avery correction tape. And I also have to tape it to itself usually. But I've kept mine on while vaping, as I usually have two different flavors going at the same time, sitting around my place. It wouldn't help to take it off to vape -- the label would get separated from the e-cig and I wouldn't know. Not that I really care. Like I'd have to take a puff to find out which one that is -- no biggie
In the order that's in the mail to me right now is a white atomizer. I like only black e-cigs (510) but I like the idea of differentiating between my two of them with one being two-toned black and white. Cool.

Silver extra-fine point sharpie. Shows up on everything. Mine was $1.99 at Office-Staples-Max-Depot. J for Jasmine, V for Vanilla, VR for Vanilla Rose, M for mint, SM for spearmint, et cetera. I think Sharpie now has metallic colors, so you could color-code as well.
I bought a load of little baggies that hold 3 carts max.
I put a little flavour label in the bag and have my filled carts facing stopper end upwards. Once I've finished the cart, I put it back in the baggie with the stopper downwards so that I know it's spent. (and so that I can refil it with the same flavour again without washing)
Works well for me, and no need to deface the carts!

I bought a bunch of AA battery cases recently, and although I do use them for batteries, it dawned on me that they have potential for e-cig uses. They're designed to hold 4 AA batts, but they will also hold:
(4) 3ml plastic dripper bottles (such as those used as samplers by vendors) - perfectly.
or
(5) 901 or 510 cartridges - a bit less than perfectly, but with enough stability that they stay in position and don't roll around.
I don't use pre-filled carts, but for those who do, labelling the box with the type of liquid and date may be much easier than labeling each cart.
(You can find the boxes on eBay or Deal Extreme, among other sites.)

I used the white adhesive medical tape that I found in my medicine cabinet. Cut little pieces, used a Sharpie. Labeled V for vanilla, C for chocolate, etc. If I wash or restuff the cart, and as I get new flavors, I just peel off the little square of tape and replace with a new label. Voila! - cheap, easy, fast.
I made an awesome case from a Sony memory stick case, LCH-MA, and on the inside cover I stick a post it with a flavor list depending on the cart slot. As stated before, a craft organizer or pill case labeled also works well if you are refilling several carts/flavors at a time.
