6V has really spoiled me with my DC cartos but the battery life on the 16340s is crap. So I have been curious if I could find some 3.2v Lifepo4 18500 batterys and today while at batteries plus for an unrelated issue I found they have Ultralife 18500 Lifepo4 chemestry batterys.

Anyways just wondering if anyone has had any expierence with these batterys. I may just continue to change my batterys every 2.5 hours but it would be nice to go a bit longer without having to buy 3 more battery extension tubes for my GGTS.

Thanks for any help.

Mind if I ask what you vape as far as ohm and atty/carto?

I have about 120 1.5 DC cartos but I was under the impression 7.4 would be to much for them. They seem to work really well at 6v which is why I was going that route.

I know I can just buy more battery extension tubes and go with 18650 3v batterys from COV but I was hoping to not buy a lot more hardware untill the VV addon's info came out.

I have some 18500's on order. I'll let you know how they fit after I get them if someone else has not replied about it yet.

the 3v lifepo4s?

If you are wondering fittment of regular 18500 I have some answers but havn't had the money till next week for the 3v's

2 14500 fit with 1 extra top tube these are protected batterys since the IMR's are usually 1-2mm shorter the IMR's should have no problem either.
2 18500 Protected fit with 1 extra top tube but a couple threads show (doesn't matter for me since it won't fire my DC cartos anyways so this is a no go)
2 18500 AW IMR fit with 1 extra top tube

This is all with the UFS because the pin is longer in the regular GGTS connector if you use a 510 atty you would need a second top tube. Same results with stealth cap. And my 4 in 1 connector cap's pin is so long it doesn't work with this setup either.

As for the Lifepo4's I am not sure if those are the same length as an IMR or as a protected 18500 I will be ordering next week if I get paid if not the week after.

No problem. I also did a bit of research and it seems Ultralast batterys are used a lot in smoke detectors. I also went to the local hardware store and a bunch of the smoke detectors came with ultralast so maybe I am being to optomistic but if they are good enough for smoke detectors and using Lifepo4 chemestry they should be ok to vape IMHO

Also for anyone wondering I found these batterys on Batteries + website here
3.2V LiFePO4 A Size Battery 2-Pack UL18500SL-2P - Batteries Plus
Not a bad price to try about half the stores I called had them in stock the other half didn't but would order them, or you can order them online.

As an aside. Seems these batterys are used for solar lights the kinds you put in your front yard lining your walkway that charge durring the day and come on at night.
