Anyone have the new IPV D3S with TC?

After over year of flawless vaping, my ancient IPV Mini (the original version) is starting to go haywire and over-volting like crazy, so it's time to upgrade. I was going to buy the IPV D3 last week but noticed that some stores had the D3S on pre-order, so I waited a week and just found out a vape shop local to me, VaporDNA has the new version in stock. So after dinner i'm probably gonna run down there and pick one up unless someone can convince me otherwise.
Right now the only downside is that it does not support software upgrades and I have to buy it bundled with the new IPV Janus Sub-Ohm tank, but since they only want $49 for both... its a pretty sweet deal. I was planning on also buying an Aspire cleito to replace my old Aspire Atlantis v1.

here are the specs. I saw in another thread that some were saying this does not have temperature control, but this device clearly does.

I'm not too concerned about it's lack of a USB port and upgradeable software. It's an inexpensive VV/VW device with TC that will likely not last long enough to really require some new feature that a software update could provide. From a business perspective, quite often consumers feel entitled to certain features because they "could" technically be added to a device but what they don't understand is had those features been added, along with the software developers who would be employed to provide support, and the headache of people potentially bricking a device (not sure if this even happens), it would be difficult if not impossible to meet the price point also being demanded by these same consumers.
That said, if I wanted to have all those features and flexibility, i'd go spend the money on a proper device with the latest DNA chip and call it a day. As for the D3S, i doubt ill even use these specific settings for Nickle or Titanium

Oops... forgot to hit post reply on that previous post and in the time between typing that post and this one, i took the 5 minute drive down to VaporDNA in Huntington Beach and after checking out many other options, i walked out the door with a brand new IPV D3S mod that included the Janus SX Pure tank.

My initial impression of the D3S was "holy crap that thing is small". My ancient IPV Mini was small for its day and this D3S (along with the D3 and D2) is at least a half inch shorter than. I tested it out in the store with my Aspire Atlantis V1 and it worked great. Construction of the case is very nice and is less "boxy" than the old mini, the screen is much sharper looking which is largely due to not having to be seen through the thick plastic face like on the mini, and the buttons have a nice tactile "click" with ZERO rattle (unlike the rattling ones on the mini). The menu system has power and joule mode along with choices for nickle, titanium, and SX Pure coil types as expected.

I had planned on giving initial impressions of the Janus SX Pure tank but there is a delay on that since i had taken it apart to check out the coil and to rinse everything with water prior to use and a little rubber o-ring that goes onto the bottom of the coil package seems to be missing now and the stupid thing leaks. The lip for the o-ring that should have kept it there was very small and it must have rolled off when i took it apart or washed it. In stark contrast, i've never had an o-ring disappear on any of my Aspire or Kanger tanks. I've got a cigar box full of vaping parts and i'm sure somewhere in there is an o-ring that will work.

Doh! I found a gasket that fit, installed it, filled the tank, and came back 10 minutes later to put the tank onto the D3S and all the liquid was on my desk instead of in the tank. lol. So after cleanup, i realized i had the gasket in the incorrect location and i'll be testing it momentarily.
