Silica & ekowool wicks are a bit like string, the video was just to show you how to do it, kanger heads are very similar, I wouldn't suggest getting NatureVape stuff as they are pretty expensive
No, I'm sure, but if I hadn't found that I quite likely do have a cotton one here, I may have been tempted! The sooner I discount or prove anything about all this, the better! :)

I've replied to your message Trisha about the coil heads, we'll get you sorted out don't worry.
Thanks Ian. I've found what seems to be a cotton one done by you on the Evod you sent me a while back. I'll try that and see if I can tell any difference :)

Bob, I saw that review the other day, it's FUGLY (that's ugly with the "F" word in front of it )
Oh! there's a smart word! ..means flippin ugly, right? (well, that's what I'd tell em I thought it meant! ;))

Hey all, well my new lappy arrived today. It already had 8.1 pre installed so less messing for me :) When i registered the lappy, bloody Mc afee was installed automatically. I soon got rid of that and downloaded avast :)
I must admit i was a bit concerned about the win 8, but it seems great. Them tile thingies can even be un pinned, so you just have what you require there, and as ian said, just click on the desktop tile and all the stuff you mostly use is there straight away.:)
I did wonder earlier if you were deeply entangled in getting it up and running! Glad you have it sorted!

In other / other news :D I was chatting with my eldest son before on facebook, and he kept asking me to go on oovoo or facetime, for a face to face chat. I explained to him that i was using my new lappy and hadn`t yet set it up, He was insistnent and i knew he had something he wanted to tell me face to face, so i just told him to chat and tell me...Spit it out man

Anyhoo, long story short is I am going to be a grandad :) :D  :toast: :rickroll:
Oh! Congratulations! :)
First thing I said 8 years back was 'I'm not called Grandma!' ..there's two of them now and they call me Nan. ...second thing I said was, 'tell them I don't knit Shreddies!!!'

Congratulations Gdad, is it the 1st ?? I've got one of each, hardly ever see them, except when they want something, gson is 21, gdaughter is 18, both a pain in the .... like their parents.
I'm afraid small children aren't my favourite things! They're loud, demanding, precocious. We saw a bit too much of ours in the very early years, but thankfully, not too much now. They're 8 and 6. Their Dad (our youngest son) is lovely but soft.

Yes i was trish, and i am still doing a bit of tweaking but not as much as i thought i would have to do. :) I will leave the knitting shreddies to the missus though.

I absolutely love kiddies, more affectionately known as ankle biters.

I recently got some Band Camp (apple pie) from Nicoticket - first tried it in a Unitank mini .....took a few draws and set it down - next thing, the tank falls on the desk! It sheared off right above the collar that screws to the battery. NT had tested it with various polycarb tanks and had no issues, so I assumed it had been a faulty tank.

Today, I put some in an Evod, all well, set it down, picked it up again later only to find the mouthpiece of the Evod broke away! Didn't leave it in there any longer to see if it affected the polycarb part of the tank, and transferred it to a new MPT2.

It may be OK in some polycarb/plastics, but it looks like not all. I won't use it in anything but glass with SS tips in future.

sounds pretty caustic!!

When i was first learning about vaping i bought a mod/tank combo from a well known UK vendor - the tank was polycarbonate and i had no idea about how they could be cracked by some juices. At the same time i bought the tank, i also bought some eliquids in the shop, a couple of which are known for cracking PC tanks. The guy seemed pretty knowledgeable to me, but then i knew relatively little at the time. Looking back he really should have pointed out that the liquids i wanted could crack the tank i had just bought.

The most likely cause will be the cinnamon trish, a well known culprit for cracking plastic tanks. :(

Right all you pc geeks out there :D I need help with setting up the bluetooth on my lappy. I managed to set up my printer earlier wirelessly, but when it comes to the BT, I can`t even find it. It is advertised as having it, and i did a file search and there seems to be lots of BT files, but i can`t seem to set it up.

Any help please guys ?

Odd thing is, I'm the only one so far who had any problems with that type of tank! They had tested it in various tanks too.
It's been in a mPT2 all afternoon and is fine! :)

I have noticed that some sites inform of possible tank cracking, others don't seem to. I had wondered if different flavour brands had varying effects in that respect, but perhaps not!

Oh! ...mind you, there's barely any detectable in it!

No doubt someone who knows will be able to help, but I don't know much about BlueTooth ..all I had to do was tick a box on my Windows phone and it was there :)
Have you tried Googling the make/model for Bluetooth setting up? I found this: Windows 8.1 - How to enable Bluetooth?

I did see a few results where people had trouble with the BT after upgrading from 8 to 8.1 ...had yours originally had 8 on it?

I have already tried that trish, but where it is supposed to show bluetooth ie: in the devices, It`s not even there. What`s frustrating me is this, The laptop is advertised as having it, and it seems there are files on the lappy, just nowhere to turn it on or off.

In other news my MT baker juices shipped today, after ordering last night. I got...Bavarian cream/Blood orange/Blue moo/Dutch apple pie/Pineapple upside down cake. All 50/50 24 mg with extra shots. Looking forward to getting these.

Glad the new lappy is working out ok mate, bet it boots up a lot quicker than the old one

It is easy to customize it the way you want it.

So which of the MT Baker juices will you be forwarding on to me mate

 Congrats on the great news mate, really pleased for you. You can teach the new arrival to vape in a few years time

You can use the "Fugly" word whenever you need it, there's no copyright or trademark on it

Shreddies  the Nan here loves them

My Missus could probably knit them, she's a dab hand with the knitting needles

No idea at all mate, I've not got Bluetooth on mine. Sorry about that. Ron or Cody might know though, or maybe Bob or Burnie (seeing as myself and Trisha have ruled ourselves out).

One more work day left

:rickroll:

can't wait to start my hols.

-------------------------------

Did a build on the brass Stillare tonight. Triple strands of twisted kanthal. Built 9 wrap dual coils, came out at 0.6 ohms in total. Glows like a volcano and lights up pretty quickly. But I think I put a bit too much rayon in the dripper, it will hold over 40 drops of juice  Flavour is superb, but not much more vapour than a Kayfun. It is a smooth vape though, using the NT Apricot in it, it's really perked up the flavour on this juice. I need to do some fine tweeking with the coil lengths though.

This is all I could find about Bluetooth mate, I haven't got it on mine though:

1.Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap Settings, then tap Change PC settings.
(If you're using a mouse, point to the bottom-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, click Settings, then click Change PC settings.)
2.Tap or click PC and devices, and tap or click Bluetooth.
3.Turn Bluetooth on.

Are all the devices set to "discoverable" so your lappy can find them ??

It does boot an awful lot quicker ian yes, I panicked a bit before cos there is no disc drive in this one and i thought how can i put the software on for my printer. A quick google sorted that out though, and i managed to do it all wirelessly.

As for the MT juices, i am looking forward to them all mate, it`s always nice to try new vendors liquids.:D

I know what you mean mate. When I got mine I was going to get the one without a disc drive, cos it was a bit more compact, but sometimes I like to play a DVD through the lappy and link it up to the TV. So ended up getting the one with a disc drive.

I was abit confused at first as i thought how the hell can i set things up, Then it clicked...It is ALL wireless now so no real need for the disc drive. But as you say, handy for playing stuff but i will just stick a dvd in our player so it`s no big loss for me. :)
