I assume all the vendors mentioned above might be getting this 1.5 version, or just V9? Also can you please explain that 3+ amp feature, or why that's a feature? Is it a safety thing?

Thanks

The regular version had a 2.5 amp limit (seems like less) wich wouldn't let you use dual coils or low resistance on it because it would set the voltage down to 3.3-3.7 volts. With a 3+ amp limit you will be able to push dual coils or LR well past 3.7 volts. Most vendors that has the first version will prob be selling the new version soon.

Came in today with 2 3.2 Ohm Atty's (They Ohm out at 2.7 though). Seems decent enough. Makes the Resurrectors jump a bit at 4v and Boge 2 Ohms are pretty nice as well. I will take it to work tomorrow, I got home at 7 and going to bed at 10, so not much time to really check it out.

I can not compare it to the old ones as I only had a few Egos, an Old Goat 3.7v Box, and a VMod. I will try to find some non-Smok Tech DC Cartos to push the LT 1.5 on. As of right now, I can tell you it rocks the Boge 2 Ohm's at 4+ Volts! And I accidentally had it on 6 Volts with the Boge at first, it fired with no problems but I noticed the Vapor was pretty toasty in my mouth.

Thanks for the update, please keep testing and posting about it. Maybe you can get a CE2/Stardust to try- at 2.0 or 2.5 (I believe)? Also, is the device well made? I've been known to drop my Ego. Easy to change that battery? I'm a heavy vaper so I'm thinking I'd have to change once a day? I assume it takes the one battery and so there's one more in the charger at all times?

It is the same as the original Lava Tubes. Basically, it is a metal tube. There seems to be a top cap (plastic/delrin), but I have not been able to spin it. The bottom cap(plastic/delrin) unscrews to reveal the battery bay that holds one 18650 Battery (standard size LT). Even though the bottom cap is a type of plastic, it holds a metal thread and the spring, my guess would be that the plastic cap is glued to the actual metal cap? The battery is easy to change, unscrew the bottom cap dump old batt and put in the new one. I have put 4-5ml through it so far at 4.5 Volts and the battery still shows 3 of 5 Bars for life yet. Yes, 1 Batt in the Tube and 1 Batt on the Charger. I opted for 2 extra Batts for a total of 4 Batts as the Vmod and Old Goat were both 14500 and the LT was 18650.

I have not dropped it yet, and do not plan to. I do not think it is as durable as an Ego, but you are comparing a closed device to a tube that holds a battery. Also, I use full size cones over my Cartos on my Egos if I am not using a Tank, so it may feel sturdier because of that.

I have been looking at the Stardusts for a bit now, but was hesitant to try on low voltage of my mods at the time. Trying to figure out where I want to get my next Juice order from, so I will pick somewhere that also sells the Vision Stardusts in the non Ego cone thread cover version.

I notice the kit includes two 3.2 ohm Atomizers. I've been vaping several months now, and I gave up on atomizers months ago and strted using 2.0ohm or 2.5ohm cartos, and most recently the SR and LR Stardusts BTW, I really like the LR on my Ego, mainly for convenience. Have you got any recommendations along those lines?

Do you happen to know if/what adapter I'd need to get to use a Stardust. 510 to Ego? Ego to 510? something like that? I'd want to try to order everything at once if possible. Kong, thanks again for all your good info!

Sorry, internet is touchy at work (as in never works when you want it to) so I typed up a long reply for you and it went away yesterday...

I suppose you could still use your Vision Clearomizers. There are two options: (1) Get new Vision Tubes in 510 threading (don't say Ego and don't have the sleeve that covers the Cone threading of the Ego. (2) Get a 510 to Ego adapter so you can still use your current Vision Clearomizers.

I used the two Atomizers to test all of my juices at different voltages. Different voltages really change the flavors of Juice, Especially the complex ones (multiple flavors to make a juice flavor like Banana Split compared to a simple flavor like Vanilla).

I personally use Boge Cartomizers in 2 Ohm currently. I have some old Smok Tech Resurrectors 1.7 Ohm Single Coil Cartos, but am not very happy with them. I have to get the LR stuff because my Wife also Vapes and she switches between 2 Bottom Feeders and an Ego which are all 3.2-4.2V roughly and dependent on how charged the batteries are.

I am running a few different flavors right now so I have a few Cartos going. They are Ohm'ing at 2.1-2.3 so far. I run them between 3.8 and 4.2V on the LT and they taste decent. I have ordered a 510 to 510 (just an extension) and a 510 to Ego Adapter along with a few of the Vision Clearos. I will let you know how they work out when they get here, most likely over the weekend.
