Hello,

Just seeing if anyone is buying the Vea from Johnson Creek. It looks like an EGO. There's alot of hype for this new product being launched tomorrow. I personally am going to hold off and wait for the reviews to come out. Since I've been vaping I've been interested in trying all types of batteries, carts, tanks, etc... I have a nice collection and probably will be adding more to my arsenal. But, now I'm only looking for quality stuff as I have had my share of junk products. I'm thankful to have found this forum and now have a great source for my purchasing decisions.

Got a link?

Here is all the info I could find:

******************************************

Vea key features:

1. A specifically engineered cartomizer with “Flow Pass” technology that keeps the smoke juice out of the air flow passage thereby greatly reducing the chances of accidentally getting smoke juice in your mouth.

2. A safe, quality, long lasting 650mAh Lithium-Ion battery that is 3C rated with overcharge and short circuit protection. We know how important battery life and safety are to e-smokers and that is why all Vea units will include high quality batteries from one of the world’s largest and most respected battery manufacturers.

3. The industry’s first ever cartomizer designed around the overall taste experience, featuring the advanced Vea heating element. While we are extremely proud of the entire unit, we feel this cartomizer is the crowning jewel. Our Juice Masters worked tirelessly with the electrical engineers to come up with a heating element that not only enhanced the flavor of our smoke juices, but improved the vapor, draw and temperature as well. On the surface it may appear to look like most other cartomizers on the market, but rest assured it is no run of the mill, off the shelf component. We designed and tested dozens of combinations of temperature, wattage, resistance, air flow, type of heating element, and surface area of the heating element until we found the exact formula that worked beautifully in tune with the various flash points in the many flavor components of our smoke juice recipes. Our prototype testing has also shown the Vea cartomizer’s functional usability (life) is approximately 3 times longer than other leading cartomizers. The result is an elevated vaping experience like no other.

4. The “Easy-Off” tip. This rubber tip was designed with a groove near the top that makes it easier for the users fingertips, or fingernails, to remove the tip when refilling is desired. The tip is also thicker than standard tips, which allows it to seat down in the cartomizer farther making the tip more secure. And finally it is designed to connect directly to the air chamber, thereby completing the “Flow Pass” safety design.

5. The press-on cone. One of the gripes expressed by the e-smokers in our focus group was the fact that they had to constantly screw the cartomizer cover off and on. This often times lead to the users leaving the cone off all together. The proper fit of the cone affects the airflow and performance so we designed the cover to be a simple, snug fit that can be easily removed and reattached. The sealing gasket is also designed with properly spaced air passages to maximize the airflow. Just another example of how our Design Team considered every possible aspect regarding flavor and performance.

6. The non-slip textured coating. Another concern voiced by e-smokers was the fact that nearly every e-cig currently on the market used a glossy paint coating which often times lead to dropped and damaged components. All Vea batteries and cones are treated with a special easy grip, non-slip coating to help e-smokers keep a handle on their Vea.

7. Ultra High Capacity Cartomizer. For the Vea unit we use the term “capacity” two-fold. One, the cartomizer will hold slightly more than 1mL of smoke juice. Two, the amount of times the cartomizer can be refilled before the heating element stops working. In our initial in-house research and testing we discovered the heating element lasts up to three times longer than most other cartomizer designs currently on the market.

8. Three click on/off feature. Every e-smoker knows how frustrating it can be when you go to use your e-cig only to find out the power button was depressed or that the thumping bass from the concert you were at has drained the battery. With three simple clicks you can turn off your battery before putting it in your pocket, or purse, thereby eliminating accidental battery drainage. The illuminated area around the button will momentarily flash to confirm that the battery has been turned “off” (or “on”).

9. The illuminated “V.” Every Vea e-cig will come with an end cap that glows brightly with the Vea “V” logo every time the button is pushed during usage. For those that prefer a more “stealth” approach will be offering a solid “light free” end cap as an option in the near future. Since the end cap is removable you be able to switch between the “V” cap and the “stealth” cap as often as you wish.

10. The universal 7mm x 0.5mm cartomizer thread. Quite possibly the most requested feature of the e-smokers we surveyed. By using the e-cig industries most popular thread size, vapers can use their new Vea cartomizers with many of their existing batteries. We will also be offering adapters that will allow the Vea cartomizers to be used with KR808 and 901 batteries as well!

11. USB pass-through technology. All Vea batteries will feature a USB charging port under the removable end cap that will allow e-smokers to charge their Vea through any computer USB port and will also allow you to continue vaping while your battery is charging! No more having to unscrew your cartomizer and remember which power cord goes with which device.

12. Ventilation ports. All Vea battery casings will include two ventilation ports that will allow battery gases to escape, leading to a safer vaping experience.

13. Prefilled and Unfilled Vea cartomizers. The initial offering of Vea cartomizers will be available in both blank, unfilled and pre-filled. The pre-filled version will feature the top ten flavors from the Johnson Creek and Red Oak lineups. These will be available in 1.8% nicotine strength. More flavors and more strengths will be added in the coming months.

*********************************

I will not state the obvious or pass judgement. It is what it is!

Indeed. It's an eGo battery-passthru?

The cartomizer design might be a little more than marketing hype. I'd probably try one. But that's it? Color me disappointed... I was actually looking forward for this before I had forgot about it... Maybe the price?

Anyway, "ultra-high capacity" of 1 ml? Anyone noticed that? They probably started working on this a while ago :(

If the cartomizer is any good at all I would probably (depending on a reasonable price) recommend this for a newcomer.

I loved my eGo pass-through battery once I found it. If they can market this one at an entry level to convert smokers it would be better than starting with 100-200mah thingys.

JMHO

Edit: At least they followed the 510 so they can market their cartos to vapers and their battery will be usable to try other attachments.

Sorry here's the link Johnson Creek Original Smoke Juice - The Best E-Liquid in the World - Made Right Here in America

I believe it's $59.99 with two batteries not sure if carts are included.

I know this thread is a little old and people have them in their hands now, so this question might be answered already, but if not...

It comes with a 5 pack of prefilled (with select flavors) or blank. Plus one "in the chamber" which is blank no matter what you order (I found that one out the hard way).

I just did a review on the Vea if anyone is curious beyond what JC has on their site... Johnson Creek's Vea e-Cigarette: Review

I just tried a blank carto. Filled with JC origional Tenessee Cured.
I used the condom method to fill it, and it appeared to take a lot of liquid (almost 3 small conom's full).
The vape was excellent, tons of vapor, mild heat, good but not over the top TH. Best carto experience I've had!

After about 25 hits, I got a hint of burnt taste. The filler was still moist, so I don't know why it tasted burnt. I attempted to re-fil via condom. That didn't work, then I tried dripping some in there, that didn't work either. Now it tastes completly burnt.

Maybe with the thicker center tube, condom filling doesn't work too well?
I'll try another blank and use a syringe to fill this time.

It seems that if you let it go dry to the point of getting that burnt taste, there's no going back. I cut one of the cartos open, and it didn't even seem like the material was scorched, and was still fairly damp.

You can have any color you want. As long as it's red :) I think red is their company color. I put a link to my review a couple posts up (or click my sig banner, it's the first post on the front page).

Is red the only color? I don't think I have ever seen a PV, or anything else for that matter, only available in the color red. It's a bold choice. I still dig though and I can't wait to read/hear a review about it.

That's the strange thing, it took a lot of juice on the fill, I only got about 25 hits before the slight burnt taste and the filler still looked moist. I had let it sit overnight between filling and the initial try so that should have allowed pleanty of time for the filler to completely absorb the juice.

I'm trying a second carto using the syringe method (1.25ml juice) and see how that goes. It's soaking now.

Same here, first few hits were great. After a while though it just doesn't taste right. If i throw the same cartomizer on my RS with a 3.0 batt, it tastes fine. I can put my 3.2 smoke techs on the vea battery and those taste fine. I hope they come out with higher resistance cartomizers or I'm done with the product and will just stick with RS 3.7v on 3.2 ohm smoke techs.

Sounds like an overpriced ego passthrough. Nice marketing gobbledegook though.
Who is this "respected battery manufacturer"? Joye, I suspect.
3 C discharge rate? Yawn. So is an ego or else it wouldn't be able to handle a 2ohm carto.
3x longer life atomizer? I doubt it. 3x longer than a 1.5ohm on a 3.7V device, or 3x longer than some generic junk maybe.
Gobbledegook and marketing babble.

I doubt that they'll come out with higher resistance. Your RS with 3.7ohm smoketechs is only using 4.28 watts. That's borderline cold. If the Vesa is a 3.4V battery, it's only going to get 3.6 Watts to your coil. That's an arctic blast. I'd be surprised if anything but alcohol would vaporize at that temperature.
