change is scary

You got that right. The grooves make the device look so much better. They hide the horizontal lines that are on the device. The line under the fire button, then the horizontal line where you would extend it to 18650 mode, and the line where the battery cap screws in. Also the grooves provide grip.

I thought I saw an SS model at FastTech? No?

Big fan of the V2 (I have 3 of them) but was unsure of the V3. It looks exactly the same with the grooves in it, but the functions look the same. I'm really don't care what mine looks like, just as long as I don't smoke. I'm happy with any power delivery system...lol

$50.19 Vamo V3 6-in-1 Variable Voltage Electronic Cigarettes Set with OLED Screen - 2*18350 / stainless steel / US plug at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping (Stainless Steel (SS) model)

Yeah you are right fasttech has a stainless steel model. I just received mine this week.

Have been using a Vamo V3 in chrome for about 2 months now. I wanted an easy to use variable voltage mod that wouldn't break the bank.
I am continually surprised at the heft and quality feel to it. No chrome finish problems so far, and the grooves look great as well, afaic. I will be ordering the stainless steel version as a backup. (I have been hesitating to order certain things though. Like so many, EVERY time I order, a new version of what I just ordered tends to come out...lol. Patience is a virtue in vape world.)

They are coming out with a V4 ...it looks like the v2 but with the V3 screen and the drip well is a lot wider..

I've been vaping since last August and after spending around £100 (maybe more) in that time on ego batteries that broke for one reason or another, and now in a position where I needed to buy 2 more again I just today bought a Vamo V3 for £50.

Build seems very sturdy, it's a heavy item especially with all the attachments as some said it feels like a lightsaber but to me looks fantastic. Just waiting on the charger to go green so I can test it!

This thing is brilliant. It really is. 2x18350 batteries are lasting me over 2 days at the moment, a lot more than I expected.

One thing that bugs me though and I don't know if it is normal or not, the clearomizers I am using seem to tilt to one side when they screw on. Did anyone else find this? I've only had it a week, am I seeing the thread go already?

I've seen this happen to me many times with a crooked clearo. what I have noticed is that sometimes the base will become loose after awhile and may start wiggle out a little and it's not noticeable until you screw it on. I just placed on hard flat surface and pushed the main tube back into place and everything lined up perfectly and no leaks, I've done this with the i16 and the kanger t2's my most popular clearos to date, but mostly it's the top feeding coils with the secured base, that only the mouth piece unscrews and u refill from top.

I just received my vamo v3 and its my first mod, so I have nothing to compare to but I love it and I like the swirls in it, seems to be the least liked thing from what I've read. it provides a nice grip and I actually like the way it looks. it seems like a major improvement over my ego twist, but just have to get used to vaping from a night stick! this thing has some weight to it and with the 2200 m/a Samsung 18650 bat in it it's quite long, thinking about scaling down on bat just to remove the extra piece of tube and shorten it up but well see...

I really like the idea of just replacing old bats without having to buy a whole new ego twist, which worked great, I'm hoping to save a little a money when replacing old bats as opposed to buying a new twist( a pair that is) every so often. I also love the display and functions of my new vamo 3, but I can't figure how to see the battery level? I change the display in the menu to show the batt level and it just shows volts, watts or ohms. it says that it will tell you when the batt is low but can you check at all to see where you at before then? I haven't drained my first batt yet so I don't really know if there is even a batt indicator.

Hold down the left button and it will display the remaining voltage on the battery; hold down the right button and it will show you the resistance of your atomizer.

Personally I have mine set to display the voltage setting I have chosen when I press the fire button, so I can see all three values without having to go into the menu.

How low should we go before we pop out the batt and stick it in the charger? I know I read somewhere these batts shouldn't be deeply discharged for their health. Or does the Vamo cut off and display LO before they reach that point? Do I remember it as being 2.7v ?? That sounds pretty low.

thanks that helps alot! just not used to the battery being displayed with volts, it's usually like 3 bars that run out....lol

according to the booklet that came in the box, it states that it will display "low v" when battery needs recharging and it looks like that happens at 3.2v, and it will auto shut off when it's at the end of the charge cycle, which I'm not sure if that's just because battery is dead or its part of the battery monitoring system.

I must be the only person on the planet that actually likes the grooves.

I hated the way they looked in the photos, but once I got a V3 I realized they were very subtle and actually make the unit much easier to hold without it slipping out of your hands. I now prefer them.

You are not alone.
