Just got 2 aerotanks from sun-vapers in santee, CA.
Here are some pics compared to the kayfun lite which i believe it may have been styled after. Will post initial thoughts later tonight

Ok aerotank #1 has the air control ring closed all the way and it is stuck. I cannot break it loose and airflow is completely cut off. Going to try to exchange that one tomorrow.
Aerotank 2 assembles well, but once an atomizer head was installed it was hard to get the base to screw onto the tank. I think the chimney is getting caught on something inside the center tube. Once i got it together it works pretty well. More vapor than a standard single coil protank head and the airflow control works well. I dont think the heads work quite as well as single coil heads rebuilt with a nano micro coil and cotton, but better than an off the shelf single coil head in my opinion.
So far no dry hits, no flooding, and no gurgling. Also the heads are taller providing more room to work for rebuilders. They also have a silicon grommet instead of the rubber ones that tend to burn on heads that have been rebuilt.

I really like the look of this tank and I am a big fan of the glass tank. I also like the simple wide mouthed drip tip it comes with. I think the size is a bit of a downside though. It is taller than previous protanks. Just a bit shorter than a kayfun lite. It fits well on a provari, but this combination is very tall. Probably too tall for me to carry regularly. I really wish they had made the airflow control ring reverse threaded. If it gets screwed all the way up airflow is cut off completely and trying to unscrew it tends to either unscrew the tank from the device or accidentally remove the base from the tank. Overall i think its a really nice looking tank that performs pretty well, but it has a few kinks that kanger might want to look into fixing in the inevitable version 2.

Sun-Vapers emailed me today with an answer that they did know when they would have them in stock?? When did you order yours?

According to Edward at Sun Vapers the heads are different. The protank 3 heads have a very short chimney on them and the aerotank heads have a long chimney similar to the original protank heads. I believe he did say that the protank 3 heads would work in the aerotank but that the actual aerotank heads were different. I dont have a protank 3 to try it out myself so I can say for sure if they are cross compatible.

OK i got the other aerotank working. My mistake. Also I take back what i said about the reverse threading of the air flow ring. Got to used to the switch lockout on my mech mod and turned the wrong way...Sorry to kanger for any bad press. Also i took apart an atomizer head and these things are actually not too hard to rebuild. Pretty much just like the original heads but tall enough for another coil. Also I tried rebuilding one with a vertical micro coil and cotton. Works well but way too much throat hit for me. Am I the 1st to rebuild an aerotank head? I think I'm going to enjoy experimenting with these things. The more i use them the more I'm starting to like them.

My Aero arrived today (eBay $25). It does use the Protank 3 (version 2) coils. The PT3 (version 1) coils don't have the center post, but those were a pain to remove when covered in juice. The version 2 are much easier to deal with. I did have to play with the air adjustment early on -- it was tight, but seemed to break in as time went along. Best feature to me is the complete lack of leaks since the air comes in from the side of the tank, the base you screw into the mod is completely solid. Since you don't suck air in via the 510 connection and with a solid base, there is no way for juice to get out the bottom. Nice...no flooding potential. Vapor cloud and flavor are above par to me...it does seem to be through juice much faster than any other BDC I have...which is I assume a factor in that big cloud.

More as I get into it, but so far, really so good.
