I've not tried but this one looks like it would UltraFire 17670 3.7V Li-Ion Rechargeable Battery 1800 mAh CR17670 Lithium Ion

It shows to be 17 x 67 but that varies some with asian mfg's.
At $6/ea we'll know in a few days. I just ordered 2.

I also ordered some of the 14250's to see if I could get the Protege to run @ 6v :) Hopefully they'll be here soon.
Hope you got a copper or some other type replacement disc for your switch or it won't matter. You'll be resisting that 17670 down to unusable voltage. My protected ultrafires won't go(grey wrapper). If you have the switch adjusted you could go with the 16340 3.7v and a dummy spacer, not as much mah but it fits.

regarding the 14250s...did you order the protected or the unprotected? the protected ones are a tad long, they'll get in there but with the spring it's a very tight fit...i'd stick w/ the unprotected for the protege (yeah, risks and all). make sure you're using a hv atty, I use the 4.7 ohm resistance with the 14250s. i think anything less and pop goes the weasel!

hey steve, any results yet on this voltage under load?
