I'm running a mod with two 14500s into a 5v regulator and I get the same problem with dual coils. Somehow it trips a shutdown, but if I reconnect I get a few hits and then it does it again.

What kind of button does your box mod have? If it isn't one that can handle 5 amps then it needs a different button to be able to run dual coils at 5 volts.

The switch runs through the 5v regulator control.

I understand that, but what kind of switch does it have?
This is why the company that sells the Saber Touch 5 volt regulated are rolling out their new ones with different switches because the switch they used before couldn't handle the amperage of 5 volts combined with a dual coil carto.

It is a tactile switch. I don't think it's the switch that shuts down, it would either fry or not. I think it's the battery protection circuit that kicks in.

They work great for me with my 5v passthrough. They get kinda hot but who cares, not burning down the house hot.
It was driving be NUTS hearing people in vaping heaven talking about there 6v dual coil experience. When I put one on my Rstack or silver bullet at 6v nothing happens. I figure it has to be the prtection circut on my batteries. I hope i have some luck with high drain. What does work well at 6v are the boge cartos that came with my revalution V2 3 ohms on my multimeter.

I just got some of the clear blue logo dcc's(1.5 ohm) from Hoosier supply. Up until now I had been using kr808d2's with an adapter on my GLV2. I must say the throat hit knocks me on my ... at 6mg nic. I haven't noticed tons more vapor unfortunately. Maybe these have a learning curve or breaking in period? Or maybe I just need to step up and adjust to the punch these things pack? The flavor is definitely outstanding though.

I've used the stainless mega that I have on my Omega at 6v. The flavour, the throat hit and the vapor output are insane and completely defy the laws of physics. I still shake my head in wonderment when I switch from 3.7 to 6v and take my first few hits. Go for it!
