Got an order in for a vivi mini nova tank late last night and the tracking on my mini ego is stalled in NC but as always it'll turn up close soon and i can get back to what i have done best here recently, Stalk the mailman. My wife made fun of me about a week or so ago when i was at my desk and happen to see the mail-truck come into view. I jumped up to get outside quickly and in doing so knocked over a shoe box size of carts and some other odds and ends and she started laughing at me and saying 'RUN FORREST RUN". A few days later when she was waiting on a order of her stuff she ran pass me on my way to the mailbox.hahahaa. this has got out of hand!
Have a nice day,Rob

Got my mini today and at first i couldnt find it in my package. it was hidden behind a drip tip, lol. This thing is super small. the shortness of it makes the button/threaded connection look even smaller. But of coarse it's the same as the 650/900/1000's. i made a few pic's for anyone interested.

It charged and works great, loving this little thing so far! It has turned itself off a couple times though, I'll be vaping, then go to hit the button again and nothing happens. So I push it 3 times and it turns back on. I dont know if its something about how I'm vaping that triggers the button 3 times to turn it off, or what. Other than that, its a really cool little addition to my collection. And I'm surprisingly impressed with how that clearo it came with is working. I have no idea how to clean that thing though.

Anyone have any ideas? (this is the "Apoloe C8" brand....one of the bright colored ones that says "mini" on the side and comes with a clearomizer that matches it)
Isn't this the post I made the other day, nearly word for word? ;)

My battery button flashes colors whilst charging, and stops when it's charged. Freaked me out at first, but I think it's neat. I shoved the wick back down with a needle, and it's back to kicking @55 again. Still dunno how to clean it, though! Perhaps making sure it's empty, swishing some vodka in there, then sucking it back out w/a syringe??? Dunno...

I'm getting used to the click off thing and yes, I also noticed it happens FAR more often with the clearo it came with! But that clearo on my Twist is a BEAST! *grin*

I got some of those super shorty cartos, and can't wait to give 'em a try w/my mini! :)

If it helps you can take it apart, a couple of pliers and the top comes of pretty easy , tried it last night cus I think I over filled it, got juice in my mouth with every single drag so i got frustrated and took it apart. Can post a pic tomorrow if you like?

LOL! When the click thing started happening to me...this was the post I thought of immediated! I figured I'd toss it out there again and see if any more info might come in. Looks like its just you & me with this so far! It definitely happens way more when I have that clearo on it....it just turns itself off...so I hit it 3x again and it goes on. I've only had it happen one time now when using another carto on there. Very odd. I still love it though, and hope to get more colors. thevaporgirl.com is where I got my kit, and the mirrored case it came with is so cute too! She did say she plans to sell the batteries seperately soon, so I'll be checking back to grab a few more colors of just the battery. Might get one more full kit.

I also just ordered shorty cartos to go with it...found these fun colored ones too!

I thought I would share this with everyone on this thread...I just ordered these cartos for my mini...I can't wait to put the blue on my bright blue mini! Hopefully they work as good as the video on the product page says they do!

SMOKtech Shorty Clear 22mm 2.0ohm .7ml Single Coil Carto - RED [gv-SMOKShortyCarto-2.0-RED] - $1.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

They little shorty drip tips were out of stock, but I plan to get one of those at some point as well.

If you succeeded at taking apart the clearo that comes with the Apoloe C8 mini ego type battery, i'd love to see a pic of that. I can't figure out how I'd possibly get this thing apart to clean it! Thanks!

Hi again...thought I would give you an update on this. So i emailed Victoria at thevaporgirl.com (which is where I got mine) and asked her about the random shutting off issue. She said she has noticed that with some, and it appears to be due to the 3 click off safety feature. She said it's hyper sensitive to it, so we just have to be extra careful when hitting the button to vape. She thinks for her next shipment she is going to get the ones that don't have the 3 click off feature at all, so that would solve that problem.

okey here goes:

i first removed the cap and drip tip but i guess its not neccesary

then got me a pair of pliers and got hold of the threads, then slowly twist and pull

s2fg1x.jpg

end result looks like this

11ifsyo.jpg

but just as a was typing this post i realized that the bottom should be the same? (right?)
so i tried the same on the bottom

rcmz2s.jpg

twist and pull

v5z7tv.jpg

the parts reassembles really easy but i leave testing to someone else..
hope it helps.

disclaimer: this is by no means a tutorial on how to clean the Apoloe c8 mini clearo, its just showing how one COULD take it apart. there's no warranty that the clearo is usable after this and i take no responsibility what so ever.

Thank you so much!! I will have to give it a shot!!

Aww, Hampa, ya beat me! :) But good work!!! I just made a post about this in the clearo forum! http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ning-apoloe-c8-bottom-coil-clearo-w-pics.html

When I get a few more minutes, I'm gonna play a bit more. For now, I just disassembled, rinsed the plastic pieces out & swished the wick area in vodka. Heh. Haven't tried filling it again since, though.

Aren't these just the cutest? And I really like the clearos the Apoloe ones come with!

Thanks, Daniele; I asked Victoria too. *blush* My girl Amy just got her pink kit in, and says it hasn't happened to her at all in the 24 hours she's been playing with it! She did get it a few times with my blue batt I let her borrow, but I let her borrow it w/a CE3, not the 'stock' clearo.

Had a couple of friends over and they wanted to try out another flavor so i gave the Apoloe clearo a shot, and well it works just as it did brand new. So there you go, it's possible to clean em and it's pretty easy too.

I have the pink and orange. I love them but haven't actually used them yet. I have been showing this pic all over the forum for about a month now, and no one has ever noticed :p. eGo Mini - last on the right. Cap for the orange one is on the embossed eGo-Q.

Good gawd, I hope my wife doesn't see this!

Just a tip, I have found over the years while doing gun repair that whenever using pliers on metal it is good to put something like a piece of old leather (glove) between the jaw/teeth on the pliers and whatever part you are grasping with it to keep from scratching/chewing up the finish. all it takes is one slip and ARGH! a big nasty mark. I think they even make covers that fit right over the plier jaw for just this .
just thought i would add that incase...Rob.

Update: I found a picture of what i was talking about in case someone didnt understand what i was talking about. Thanks.

+1 on what he said, in my case it didn't matter if it got scratches, it was supposed to be tossed. But now it works but you have to take slow drags so the juice don't ends up in your mouth. That's why it was to be tossed it was that way from the start.
