I just ordered a couple of these. I've only ever used cartomizers before. I like switching up flavors often! How do I/how easy is it to switch flavors in these? Thanks!

Changing flavors with a T3 is much easier than with a carto. You just take the coil head off the bottom of the tank and rinse both under warm water. Make sure you run water down though the air tube on the coil head and fluff the wicks a little. Then dry everything off as well as possible. Be sure to blow air through the mouthpiece on the tank and through the coil assembly from the bottom.

Then refill and vape on.:vapor:

As someone mentioned earlier, the T3 works best when it has a slight gurgle. That tells that the wicks are very wet.

I might have found a solution to prevent or atleast diminish the leaking that easily comes with the gurgling. This might be considered hard core tinkering, but I am like that...)

I took the air tube out from the coil base, removed the rubber seal, and seated it upside down in a vice. Not too tight so it doesn't deform. I then took a 3mm drill bit for steel, and drilled carefully at the center. That makes a beveled edge about 1mm deep in the inside of the tube edge, which gives more room for airflow when the wicks are in place.

My theory was that the wet flavor wicks give up some juice directly to the air tube, which makes the gurgling happen. When the air tube gets enough juice, it will both get sucked up in the mouthpiece and pour down the battery connection.

I'm now at half a tank with a wick and flavor wick rolled from fluffy cotton (a previous no-no for me in the T3), and I think the thickness of vapor and the depth of flavor is a bit better than when new. And so far no leaking, gurgling or dry hits. We'll see how it goes when I get past the magical 0.8ml leak limit...

Apparently Kanger is coming out with a newer version of the T3 called the MT3. It looks just like the existing T3 except that it has a solid colored tube with a window. I hope some of the online suppliers get some of these. I want a black one.:2cool:

If anybody hears about a vendor that’s going to get some, please let us know.

Just to verify before I try...when you do a dry burn on these to clean off the coil, do you remove the wicks and center post first? TIA

Wow, I like the looks of those. Almost looks like a rubberized jacket has been applied over a clear tube? Regardless, I'd go for a black or two, a red, a blue, a ............. After finding the T3, I thought I was done spending my hard earned $$ on hardware for a while.

Hmm. Not for me though, I like to see the bubbles when I fine adjust the base. I need bubbles! Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles!!! (A "Finding Nemo" quote.)

I'm still hoping for a T3 mini. 1,5-2ml, and a whole lot shorter.

Good point about the bubbles. With the seal cup flipped over, I don’t really make adjustments, but I do look for bubbles when I’m having problems with it. Maybe they just need to make a sleeve for the T3, so it doesn’t look as much like some kind of medical device. It would be nice if it had a permanent pocket clip too. One of the first things I thought about when I saw a picture of the MT3 was whether I could use my pocket clip with it.

So I made some adjustments to my T3 heads last night following a very thorough cleaning. I left all of the tubes in a cup of hot water and vinegar to soak as I adjusted the heads. I removed the center post (gotta wiggle it a little if it's not giving easily), removed the flavor wicks (they're the loose wicks sitting on top of the main wicks which are held in by the coils), gave everything a good rinse, then I did a dry burn (before putting the posts back on, so the coil is exposed).

Some of the coils were noticeably dark or 'gunky' looking, so I just did a quick dry burn, 3 second bursts about 4-5 times depending on how dirty it looks. After a few times, the gunk on the coil appears to disappear and the coil looks 'normal' and the wicks look white again. I also had the silicone cup seal flipped over, but I put it back to how it originally was since I removed the flavor wicks.

I have to say I like the results of the changes so far, one of the heads still has a really tight draw, but it has seemed to improve the flavor a bit. Hasn't gurgled or flooded yet, but we'll see.

I hate the T3 and won't be using it for the simple reason that the vapor is cold. Being bottom coil, by the time the vaper goes through the tank and the plastic mouthpiece it is way to cold for me (cranking the volts just burns the wick). Bottom coils are great for cartos with their one piece metal design, but not for this. Very disappointing for me. You may like it if you prefer cooler vapes. I stick to my vision clearos, novas, and mega cartos.
