update on my first tank: at the 1.6ml mark I got my first dry hit. took a few dry pulls without firing the battery and it seemed to work fine. As I went down to the 1.4ml mark started to get an off taste like a slight dry hit. by the 1.2ml mark i was getting the off taste consistently even with dry pulls. I unscrewed the atty head, then screwed it back in but not all the way, just snug. flavor came back to normal for a few hits, then got one off hit again, now its alternating between good flavor hits and off flavor hits

another update: finished my first tank, ran it under warm water for a while, filled a new tank up, and its dry hit city. I have to take a bunch dry pulls after every 2 hits to get the flavor to return. something is going on with the wicking. im going to try to raise the center post slightly and see if that helps

What happened with my T2s...first fill, great. Then nothing but dry hits. My solution: Vision V3 from altsmoke :)

T2's or 3's?

Nah, I use to like Vision, but not anymore. I like how they design items, but absolutely hate their wicks as they act more like filters.
That's my mileage though and I've spent a lot of mileage this year

I'm not sure what to suggest as you have gurgling and dry hits. Gurgling is a sign of either the atty flooding or juice/condensation in the air passage. You say that you have blown the device out, but still get gurgling. This indicates flooding, but you still get dry hits?

I have mine working great, but I don't tighten it all the way either. Many pages back I describe what I did and with the next one I may try to just trim the seal slightly and see how that does since I run thicker juice.
If I want more juice flow, I back off the tube and tighten till the inner tube just barely touches the seal.
This usually does it for me and then I don't have to mess with it until I fill again.

I have about 1/32" gap between the knurling and bottom ring as this is where it works best for me. That is why I added a o-ring as it keeps the shell from rotating freely and it allows me some adjustment.
The wife runs 70/30 and likes hers untouched right out of the box.

so first i tried removing both flavor strands. dry hit fail. then i put one back, and didnt push the center post all the way in. dry hit fail. then i put the post all the way in like it was originally, but this time i didnt push the rubber piece that sits on top of the wicks all the way down. seems to have done the trick. havent had to dry pull and no dry hits. i guess in my case the rubber piece was down to far and was choking the wicks. i still want to try this same thing with both flavor strands back in instead of one to see if the amount of flavor strands affects anything but when i rocked off one of the tubes both strands went flying and disappeared so i had to grab a strand off another atty head and put it into the head where i lost both strands. i have 2 extra atty heads that havent been touched yet so ill probably test one later

I got so excited when I heard skelley describe these after his first day, I got a couple ordered up. They should be here tomorrow, now I have mixed emotions about these. I have tried almost every disposable/rebuidable on the market and so far i'm still using my old boge cardos with a tank. I hope I fall in love with these as soon as I put it on my new VERSA, but it takes a lot to impress me.

Give them a try wseternmd and let us know what you think :2cool:

I think that you can over tighten them and that pushes the seal down to far on the wicks, I loosened mine up to keep up with my vape pace. The wife has a slower vape pace and she likes them just as they are.
Something to think about.

Hopefully the draw on the T3 is not like the T2 in any way. That thing was like sucking through an empty straw.

The Trick with the T2s is to use tape to cover one of the Carb Holes! Know what you mean about to Airy, hitting the T2 with Two Open Holes is like an engine being W.O.T. driving 15 MPH is a school zone!

I got one of these from SVC about a week ago. Over all I really like it except for one problem. When the liquid level gets down to about 1ml, the vapor production drops off dramatically. When I fill it back up, vapor goes back to normal. I don't know if this is a typical problem with the T3s or if it could be a problem with my coil assembly.

I got mine in last night with my new twist battery, and man, it is dang nearly impossible to draw through. I tried loosening it's connection to the battery, I tried slightly loosening the bottom connection, nothing. Also getting a little bit of juice in my mouth as well. I've been vaping for several years, so I know it wasn't my filling technique as I tried this for 2 hours and still kept getting bits of juice with my hits. Kinda depressing

**edit** just took off my vivi nova (working well on my twist surprisingly), and tried the T3, nothing at all now. I can hear it bubbling, and I can feel the outside getting hot, but no vapor at all. GRRRRRRR. I bought an extra coil piece at the same time, letting it soak up the juice now to see if it works any better.

**edit yet again** Ok, so the other new coil piece works GREAT! I found the problem in the process. In the working part, there are 2 holes in the "grip" section on the outside. On the part that came with the tank, there are ZERO holes. Think this might be my problem? I'm betting so. Off to email SVC to see about that

Good thing you bought an extra coil assembly. The first time I've heard of one not having air holes and it definately wouldn't work without them. I wonder how many got sent out like that?

I had to return a Vivi Nova Mini for the same reason, zero air flow.
I was hoping for store credit as I don't care for the one that I have that is working.
I gave it to the wife and now she can have 2.

Maybe the chinese holiday was hard on the workers and they all had a hangover.

I just read on another supplier thread that Kanger is having QC issues with one of their suppliers and all shipments of T3's are being delayed so they are going to be hard to find for a couple of weeks. The airhole issue might be part of the problem. If they forgot an airhole what else might they forget.

If i see the wicks slightly turning black and stay that way even after rinsing, what's it mean? Still not having any luck since the first vape & fill on each coil head. Not wicking well so wicks eventually burnt out?

I'm having trouble mostly with having really harsh throat hits (which I don't notice on the T2s on the same juice) or occasional dry hits with nasty flavor. I'm narrowing down to wicking issue but I've tried a lot of the workarounds: not seating silicone cap all the way, not tightening too hard, etc.

Debating if I should somehow soak these in isopropyl alcohol like I do with my T2 heads to see if it helps clean burnt crap out. My only worry is that its impossible to remove the bottom rubber o-ring that sits under the wicks and I'm not sure what will happen to those if soaked in alcohol for a period of time.

If the wicks are black after cleaning, I would say they are burnt.
I clean everything prior to use. This removes any residue and gets the wicks working.
A few things to try:
-Add o-ring at the base and don't tighten all the way.
-Remove 1 flavor strand.
-Trim a small sliver off of the seal.

I would clean and inspect the wicks since you say they are black. Also since you have it open, look and see if the coil is centered and do a quick check to see if the coil has any hot legs.
If you have any wicking material that's small enough, you could replace the burnt flavor strands also.
