Anyone try the new Kanger T3 yet?

I rebuilt the coil of my Kanger T3 today, and put a cotton wick in. It's a little more finicky than the vivi nova, but perfectly doable, and I'm sure it gets easier with experience—the head is actually exactly the same size as that of the vivi. Here are some pictures:

The parts, once taken apart:

Inserting your coil wires. Same thing as with the vivi nova, except that everything is receded within the ego thread. It's tricky, but it can be done. The hardest part was to insert the silicone sleeve. I ended up lubing it with some PG, and pushing it in using the T3's center post, while keeping the two ends of the coil in place. Remember to leave a good two inches length at boil coil ends, so you can keep them out of the way while working inside the ego thread.

The coil inside the head. Not a good looking coil, but it works (at 1.8 ohms).

Trim the ends, replace silicone cap:

Voila! :2cool: I did this coil with cotton, which works quite well. I imagine that any other wick that has been used in the vivi could also be used there. I plan to try mesh soon, see how it goes.

Godzilla93, very nice work! And thanks for the pics!
How tight is the cotton on the slots? I'm actually a bit surprised if you don't get any leaking or flooding, as I couldn't solve those when trying Aunt Lydia's #10 bamboo.

You're welcome! I've never tried bamboo, so I can't really say how it would affect the set up, but if it worked for the vivi, I don't see why it wouldn't work here.

I left the kanger on my ego all night: no leaking. My wick was a little bulky on one side (see picture) and I made some slots on the silicone cap to fit it in. I kind of regret it now, as I suspect I get some over-wicking (if that's a word!). It works well, but is much more noisy (crack/pop sounds) than the original. Next time, I'll make sure the wick is the right thickness on both sides.

I'm starting to get gurgling with my T3, but no leaking. I think maybe the wick has been loosing a few fibers each time I clean it so it's getting a little thinner (strictly a guess).

Anyway, do you think it's possible to just lay a couple of cotton sewing threads across the top of the coil to fill up the (maybe) empty space?

I opened my second T3 yesterday and it's performing as well as the first. Another posted mentioned some quality control issues, saying that 6 of 10 (I believe) didn't work for him/her. I'm pleased that I'm 2 for 2 so far. I'm very much enjoying this clearo.

I'm two for two as well! The more I use them the more I like them. This is the bottom coil clearo I've been searching for since the first one came out about a year ago.
I'm on my 23rd day using the same one. I filled my second one with a different juice and I've only been using it for a couple of days and it works great as well.

That is awesome, I'm glad you are having good luck with your T3 setup. I myself bought two T3's and they both worked perfectly right out of the box with 50/50 and 25/75. Although you have to slow your vape pace with the thick juice. I did end up giving one T3 away to a newly converted vapor and she seems to be liking them more than I did. I just can not seem to get away from my boge 3.0 and the mom and pop vapor shop mini sub tank, oh well I'll keep trying just because it's fun to try the latest and greatest on the market. Just keep in mind this vaping world is evolving so fast there will be high's and low's with all these new products.

I really hope iVape gets replacement heads in...

I've tried everything with my T2's. Started threads on multiple sites, tried every fix in the book and it really all came down to luck. Some heads would have a wonderful draw and flavor, some wouldn't. Didn't matter the vendor/juice/etc. And no matter what I did, that never really changed.

I'll be looking into getting a couple just to test out... I still enjoy my T2's and continue to use them, but the inconsistency issues are just insane.

I ordered two T3s and a bunch of low-resistance coils from iVape. I already have two T3s from Vapor Best and they've been serving me well. Hopefully these perform just as nicely. I'm really curious to see what kind of difference the low-resistance coils make.

Looks like iVape has the heads in stock. Just ordered some and a couple more T3s just for fun.

Yeah they are on page three. I didn't see them the first time.

My first two worked real good out of the box but the third one wasn't wicking good at all. I raised the plastic cap up off the wick and didn't screw down very much and then I started getting gurgling so I tighten down a little more and now it is wicking good and not gurgling. It kind of baffles me why some of these are more sensitive than others.

I read somewhere in here that it could be the spacer on the bottom part. Perhaps the gurgly one has a different sized spacer?

It's all about quality control. I've been lucky that my first two T3s didn't have any major issues, though one has a tighter draw than the other. It's also a new product and I'm sure there are kinks in the production line.

They look identical. It was only gurgling because I didn't tighten down quite enough after loosening it. It is working good now but there definately is a fine line on how tight the cap has to be on some of these. I just don't understand why only some are that way. If my first one would have been that way I probably would have just thrown it away and thought they weren't any good. I'm sure that has happened to others already. I'm just glad my first two worked very good without adjusting anything. It is very simple to raise the cap off the wicks even with a full tank to prevent the dry hits.

Greetings: I have a question. Did you clean you T3 during the 23 days of use.

I bought one and a replacement head from Stormy's. I am pleased with it. The only thing I could say negative is that I cannot vape above 4.2 volts (the setting on a VV unit).

I just washed the wick under warm water after every few tanks and dryburned it once after a couple of weeks. I vape my 2.4 ohm cartos around 4 volts as well. I don't care for higher voltage though so it is fine at 4 volts for me.
