Question- How do you clean your T3 ? I've just rinsed them out really good with hot water. Seems wick stays damp. I don't keep alcoholic beverages in the house, no vodka here. I have used 90% isopropyl soaks followed by hot water rinse for atty's, but don't know if that's a good idea with the T3 coil assmbly. Any assistance would be appreciated, thanks.

What I do I can't recommend to inexperienced tweakers:
- Remove the base, the pole from the base, and the wick
- Toss the wick
- Rinse all parts in warm water, dry with tissue paper, then dry burn the coil
- Insert new wick and wet it with juice
- Assemble, fill, vape

For the wick I use either 3 (+2 on top) Aunt Lydia's #10, or 40 strands from a cotton gauze.

If you don't want to re-wick, I would just rinse and dry well, possibly dry burn.

these arent working real well for me right out of the box. im using 80pg/20vg and im getting dry harsh hits every so often. when i un-screw the bottom just a tad, i still get dry hits...when ii start getting good hits i also get leaking from the base.....which means ive un-screwed it too far. Anything less and i get the nice harsh dry hits.\

I've tried almost every clearo on the market and i always keep going back to my trusty boges.

did any of you replace the coil and solve the dry hits that way? Is there a difference in them? I bought another 3 coils but havent tried them yet, only used 1 tankfull so far.

Some seem to solve that by removing the other "flavor wick" that is laying loose on top of the coil. I did too, but making my own wicks gives me better results.

OK, so I had one that refused to wick anymore. I had run about 2 or 3 tanks through it, and all of a sudden every third or fourth pull was a lung choking-I want to throw this thing against the wall hit..so I took it out, fluffed the wicks a little, replaced the little plastic wick cap more loosely, and tried again...no good, same thing. So I just said the heck with it and tossed the little wick cap and the thing is working great so far with no leaking...I am assuming the little wick cap is there to seal against leaks? Is this thing going to dump on me without any warning?

Obviously, the wicking problem was being caused by the cap pinching the wicks too tightly, or at least it seems to me that this was the problem. Has anyone tried shaving down the cap so that the pinching is mitigated when the threads are snug?

I have a couple ?'s for you....The Aunt Lydia's #10...is that a bamboo or cotton yarn and can you just get it and use it or do you boil it first? Also, when you say 40 strands of cotton gauze....do you just get 40 strands and spin them together? Also, I would guess the cotton gauze doesn't need to be cleaned first since it is used to wounds etc...??? Thanks for your help, I am trying to understand all this rewicking stuff.

Remove 1 flavor wick and also slightly unscrew.
Save the wick for use later.

Thank you. i took the flavor wick off and tossed it, it came off in strands. 20 puffs into it and so far so good, no dry hits yet. (i would have gotten many by now)

The cap seals the air tube from the tank liquid to prevent flooding and gurgling.

Cut the cap down a little or cut a couple of "V"s 180 degrees apart for the wicks to fit in.

I wouldn't cut the cap, as the issue is most probably with the wick. I would take the pole off (careful, part of the wick is just freely hanging on top of the coil) and visually see if the wick is clean and the coil straight. If yes, measure the coil resistance from the battery connection. A partial short might make it for example a 1 ohm coil that would definitely taste burned.

The Aunt I have is bamboo. I did boil it just in case.

Didn't spin the cotton strands. I pulled 20 straight strands through the coil with a tool I made (like a needle threader), so it doubled up to 40. Actually it started leaking after 2mils, so I'm now using 48 strands. So far so good. No need to clean the cotton as long as it is from a 100% cotton, non-stained hygiene product.

no sinäpä olet toimeellias!

on another note, ever since i pulled the flavor wick out i havent had a single dry hit, nor flooding. vaped through a full tank now.

Thanks for the flavor wick removal post. I was about to be very disappointed. Funny thing about vaping... There is always something you gotta mod to make things work lol. No more burnt juice! Now, to figure out how to stop it from whistling... Lol my dog keeps looking at me crazy, worst case scenario i could use it as a training device while im vaping.

Haven't tried the flavor wick removal yet. However...I was having a little taste and wick issue myself. I just removed the silicone sleeve that's above the wicks tightened down the head and been vaping since last night like this

So far no leaks or over feeding seems to be working great. Still have some paper towels close by the invade it decides to leak. Have to say it greatly improved the function taste and vapor. Running a 70/30 blend

Vape on!

OK, I like simple and easy. I've been rinsing T3 in hot water, blowing off / paper toweling off and allowing to dry maybe 30 minutes before refilling with another juice. This time I've noticed the visible wick is starting to darken on the ends of the wick material, as if it were scorched somehow. Any explanations here ? Is this the wick that can just be removed ? Or will I have to begin modifiing these T3's ? Seems like the clearo still works well, just wondering if this darkening on the ends of the wick a prelude to later problems.....
