I must say I'm starting to lose interest in my T3's. Silica, cotton or bamboo in various thicknesses, the rubber upside down or regular, it always just suddenly at some point leaks badly to the battery connection. I might vape a good 3/4 of the tank and then suddenly, bad gurgle and the battery is flooding. If the battery is getting low, it definitely leaks as the coil doesn't vaporize as fast as even a light suction grabs juice. But even with a full battery vaping at 4.2V on a 1.9 ohm coil.

Another issue is that outside in the winter, if the temperature is at freezing point or lower, the T3 will not wick at all. A few good vapes, then burnt taste.

Looks like it's back to Vivi Nova Mini for me.

Try a primer puff without operating the battery. That usually helps wick. What's your PG/VG ratio? Probably VG gets too cold to wick properly. Try unscrewing a little and see if that works.

i am experiencing the same problems. these looked very promising but as with all clearos to date, fiddling and much patience is required.

Just goes to show how inconsistent some vape gear can be. I'm still using the first one I bought three weeks ago or so from iVape. I bought two and three replacement coil assemblies but haven't needed them. I *did* rewick and recoil one of the replacements, though, just to try it and I've used it a bit as well, but no issues for me at all so far (thank hebbins). Rinsed it out a couple of times to change juices, but haven't even had to do any serious cleaning yet....

Same here. I'm on my original 5 week old coil and going strong. Now, I only vape "clear" menthol which may have something to do with the longevity. Dunno. Also, wrt cold weather, I've noticed all my menthols significantly thicken when subjected to cold temps. However, I haven't noticed any degradation in the vape quality. I would think any wicked clearo would have the same wicking issues with cold juice and the T3 should be better than most due to the bottom coil's short wicks?

Same with me. I'm Menthol-only and my original head is just over 6 weeks old and still going strong.

I load it full with 3ml and vape it almost dry, rinse it out and refill.

I have done 2 dry burns on the original head. The first time was when it started gurgling after 3 weeks (the coil was a little crusty and probably did not get hot enough for proper vaporization. I'm using eGo batteries with a fixed voltage) which took care of the problem. I did a second dry burn 2 weeks later just to see if it made any difference; it didn't.

What makes these heads so nice is that it's so easy to pop off the air tube, remove the flavor wicks and take a peek at the coil to see if it needs more cleaning. Takes just a minute or two.

Try a primer puff without operating the battery. That usually helps wick.

The wicking is only a problem in the cold, in which primers doesn't really help that much. In warm temperatures, instant flooding that way.

I do use 70% VG because of a slight PG allergy, and I also like the taste a bit better. I am aware that VG could be more sensitive to the cold, but what I don't understand is why this is not really even an issue on the Vivi Nova Mini. Perhaps the wick on bottom coils has to be so tight that the increased stiffness is just too much for it to handle?

That's interesting. I've had the exact same leakage issues with the mini vivi novas. Extremely frustrating. My T3s have been rock solid.

Sorry if this has already been asked, but has anyone tried Boba's Bounty in the T3? If so what were the results?

I've been vaping my first T3 (2.4ohm) for a few days now with BWB Maple Tobacco. Definitely had some wicking issues and inconsistency. Tried all the tricks including loosening the base, flipping the cap, primer puffs, etc. No flooding or leaking issues. Below 3.7V and the vapor is weak. Above 3.7V and the vapor tastes burnt.

I really want to like this thing. But I said the same thing about Stardusts and Vivi Novas and had similar results. I'm starting to wonder if it's my vaping style or my liquids. If the T3 won't vape Boba's then it's game over for me.

Thanks, JJ

On the T3 as well as with CE3 the factor is internal pressure and density. If the liquid is too dense, it won't wick well. Try clipping a little the wick as does Lord Davon. Trim little by little, otherwise it'll flood.

Another important thing, don't fill it all the way, just about 50%. Once completely assembled, blow from the battery end inside the tube. The increased pressure should solve the problem.

The thickest juice I've run through the T3 so far has been a 70vg/30pg that really looks thicker than that. Had a couple of dry-ish hits initially once in awhile, but nothing nasty. What I did was raise the silicon cap just a hair on a lark--and for whatever reason, that was good enough. Never had a hint of a dry hit since. When I switched to a vg/pg ratio that was opposite, I discovered I needed to move the cap back down the way it was out of the box to keep from flooding the coil. YMMV, as usual.

Whoa we may be on to something here. Thank you Ostinato and Susaz. I removed a few fibers and this baby woke up right now. WooHoo! I just hope like hell it continues. :)

Did the same thing. Didn't really care for these at first. Disassembled it, and two pieces of wick (Not coiled) fell off (Reminded me of the original Viva Nova). Put it back together, and it's been outstanding. Bubbles rising and don't have to prime. Haven't thought about Clutch Cargo in years. Got a chuckle from the logo.

I've been vaping bobas bounty in my t3. Works grea I flipped the seal so it points up and have only 1 flavor strand not 2. I give it a little primer puff every few tokes at 4 volts works great.
