Since my girlfriend has picked up vaping as well, outlet space has started to come at a premium in the bedroom. I've been using my USB charger lately for convenience but now my USB ports are coming at a premium. :p

Has anyone used an AC powered USB hub to charger batteries through their USB adapters? In theory should work but wondering if they maintain a reliable 5v output.

Sometimes the front panel USB ports on a desktop are lower MAH than the rear ones. Hubs vary, too. You might want to check out the rear USB ports to see if they can handle the load. On a hub, look at the MAH output rating. They should be rated at near the rating of the AC charger. USB ports will shut down and require reboot if you exceed the output rating.

I use the Belkin 4-port USB hub: Belkin Hi-Speed 4-Port USB Hub USB 2.0 - Sears | Sears Canada

I use 4 USB chargers for Joye510's with it.

I like that if one charger fails, I can just replace it, instead of having to replace a whole charger (like with 5 and 10 port ecig chargers when the ports start to fail.)

I also like that it can be plugged into a USB car charger OR an AC outlet. So, at home, we plug it into an outlet, but we can bring it along in the car, using a USB car charger, and keep backups with us!

Just got the one I listed above today, works terrific. I had four KR808 batteries charging on it at once, no problems and it charged them fast.

It's nice, have all the charging stuff on one spot on the bookcase next to my desk. No more wall adapters here and there and usb ports being used up.

Belkin seems to be a good brand for this, price is right and they have good reviews. Amazon has some cheaper ones but they almost all have bad reviews.

True. I wasn´t able to charge my eGo on my front panel USB, i was thinking i got faulty charger or batt. Tried rear ports and everything was ok.Most of the time you use front USB only for flash disk, don´t you ?So you´ll never realize that they differ from rear ones.

I wouldn't make such assumptions. On my PC, the USB ports have standoffs on the motherboard, and I can run wiring from those to either the front or the back. I have a Thermaltake USB external HD attached to one of my front USB ports. I have nothing connected to the rears -- don't use them at all, ever, because it's too inconvenient to plug/unplug stuff from the back of the case.
