I saw a really cool video on youtube (for the life of me can't find it again) about making your Genesis style atty and auto dripper.
Looked like it worked really well. I'm just interested to see if anyone else is using this set up. Post pics, tell me how ya like it, if you don't like it or don't advise it. I'm new to rba's and am really just exploring all the different options and trying to learn all I can.

I know the video you are talking about. I am a newbie a well but after reading this thread :

I can never go back to clearos and Ego batteries.... Super X Drifter (Extremely nice guy and very helpful), OP of that thread explains how to make one very easily...

Here is on I made today and I am blown away by the flavor and amount of vapor....

Exactly what I was talking about! As soon as I pick up my multi meter tomorrow and some cotton balls I'm building of one these. What gauge wire are you using? I only have 32 as that's all my B&M supplies. Waiting for next pay check to buy a little heavier gauge.

I used 28 ga on this one and came out to 1.1 ohm with 9 wraps around a paperclip:

32 will work, personally I prefer lower gauge, easier to work with... more wraps = more surface area .... Make sure you have the coils tight. Show some pictures of your work when you are done, good or bad, we are all learning here.

On the 32g, it is a bit hard to work with, and to keep the resistance at a sane level on a micro coil. Bear in mind that even just 8 wraps will get you the "micro" effect. 32 is springy, so if it wants to change it's shape after you wrap it try heating it to set it's shape. Once wrapped on a jig, grab both legs and slide it off and torch, lighter it so it glows. Let it air cool for a few seconds, then let go and see if it stays in the shape you made. If not, slide it back onto your jig and adjust by pulling the legs tight, then re-torch. It's much easier to position and attach to the atty if it is already the shape you want.

One way to lower the resistance (halve the resistance) and have lots of wraps is to run two wires of 32 parallel. Fold your wire in half, and treat it like it was a single wire when you wrap it.

I've heard you have change the cotton often in setups like the one linked...? Where other materials seem to last much longer?

Sent using my typewriter

I run cotton in my protanks and swap wicks about every 3 tanks depending on the juice. It's really quick to pull the old wick, dry burn and slide a new one in. I've got a couple coils I've had in for over a month, just swapping the wicks.

This is an auto dripper (bottom fed) that you just squeeze the concealed onboard bottle and the juice comes up into that RBA thru that hole in the bottom wetting the cotton and micro coil.

Fresh squeezed juice on demand. I change the cotton wick about every 7 days. It is an amazing vape system :)

How did you thread your wick? Is it horizontal or vertical?
